  • he safety and quality of the food supply are governed by a complex system and food safety management is one of the most important tasks of every government and government agency. Different types of policies have been developed and emplyed to address current and upcoming challegnes. In many counties including South Korea, much effort has been made to reform food safety system including organizational transformation and policy change. Food safety agencies including their history in four countries -U.S., England, Japan, and EU- are reviewd and major policies which have been recently employed by thses four contries are also examined. Additionally, the report of EU food safety and nutiriton in 2050 is introduced and scenarios of future change and policy responses in the report are exmained. Lastly, insight into this issue is given based on review of organizational transformation and major policies in four countries.

  • The US-China trade war forced a reluctant semiconductor industry into someone else's fight, a very different position from its leading role in the 1980s trade conflict with Japan. This paper describes how the political economy of the global semiconductor industry has evolved since the 1980s. That includes both a shift in the business model behind how semiconductors go from conception to a finished product as well as the geographic reorientation toward Asia of demand and manufactured supply. It uses that lens to explain how, during the modern conflict with China, US policymakers turned to a legally complex set of export restrictions targeting the semiconductor supply chain in the attempt to safeguard critical infrastructure in the telecommunications sector. The potentially far-reaching tactics included weaponization of exports by relatively small but highly specialized American software service and equipment providers in order to constrain Huawei, a Fortune Global 500 company. It describes potential costs of such policies, some of their unintended consequences, and whether policymakers might push them further in the attempt to constrain other Chinese firms.

  • Hospice palliative care refers to holistic care provided by an interdisciplinary team aimed at improving the quality of life of patients suffering from life-threatening diseases and their families. Among interdisciplinary team members, hospice advanced practice nurses (APNs) trained as master's-level advanced nursing professionals are leaders who play an important role in providing patient-centered care and improving the quality of services. The Medical Service Act revised in 2018 requires the scope of practice of APNs in each field to be specified in the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Accordingly, discussions on the role and scope of practice of hospice APNs are actively underway. In this review, the curriculum of hospice APNs, their work responsibilities and roles, and their current status are reviewed, and the future direction of the hospice APN system is also discussed.

  • The pathogenesis of many strokes originates in the vessel wall. Despite this, most traditional imaging focuses on the vascular lumen. Vessel-wall magnetic resonance imaging (VWMRI) is useful for establishing the etiology of intracranial stenosis. It also provides information regarding atherosclerotic plaque composition and thus plaque vulnerability, which is an indication of its potential to cause a stroke. In this review we focus on the characteristics of VWMRI findings in various arteriopathies related to intracranial artery stenosis, and discuss the clinical implications of these findings.

  • The article analyzes the main theoretical approaches to the formation of managerial competencies and establishes the degree of development of the problem. The content of the concept of "managerial competence" has been clarified, to determine the structure of managerial competencies of a future specialist in the education system and indicators of the formation of managerial competencies. The organizational and pedagogical conditions necessary for the effective process of forming the managerial competencies of future specialists are revealed. The following research methods were used in the work: theoretical (analysis of regulatory documents and scientific literature on the problem under study, comparison, generalization, modeling), empirical (diagnostics of the level of formation of managerial competencies of students of the system, questioning, observation, peer review, comparative qualitative and quantitative analysis of diagnostic results the level of formation of managerial competencies).

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of herbal medicine for obesity in animal experiments over the past 5 years. Methods: 5 Databases (Science on, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, Research Information Sharing Service, PubMed, Cochrane) were searched from 2017 to 2021. Results: A total of 50 studies were selected and analyzed. 21 single herbs and 25 complex formula were used in the studies. The most commonly used herbal material was Poria cocos. As a result, there were significant improvements in the indicators related to obesity or metabolic abnormalities accompanied by obesity in all studies. Conclusions: These results suggest the efficacy and mechanism of herbal medicine for obesity treatment in animal models. Also, there should be more clinical trials in the future, based on this study.

  • The influence of international organisms in education has already been documented by research; nevertheless it is necessary to study and deep in the different mechanisms used to direct the education policies in Latin America. At this point, this study describes and analyzes this phenomenon based in a review of the annual informs of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) and the research realized by this financial instrument in the last decade. The article presents three parts: the first one, analyses the importance of the United States in the IDB's financial policy; the second one, describes the Bank loans to educational polities; and the third one, identifies the mechanisms uses this financial institution to intervene in education policies. Finally the article presents some conclusions.

  • This paper shows a theoretical-reflective analysis on the importance of vocational training and value education to transition into models that are inclusive in cultural diversity, typical of the globalized and hyperconnected environment of modern societies. Interculturality is contextualized as a key element in linking teaching-learning processes with the uniqueness and problems associated with cultural ethnocentrism and alterity. In this sense, the work is part of a thematic review that contributes to the understanding, inclusion and recognition of cultural, racial and ethnic diversity in the different formal spaces of learning. As summary, value education and transversality are the basis for building educational interculturality in future generations.

  • Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a novel approach that have accelerated the development of numerous technologies such as policy-based access control, network virtualization, and others. It allows to boost network architectural flexibility and expedite the return on investment. However, this increases the system's complexity, necessitating the expenditure of dollars to assure the system's security. Network Function Virtualization (NFV) opens up new possibilities for network engineers, but it also raises security concerns. A number of Internet service providers and network equipment manufacturers are grappling with the difficulty of developing and characterizing NFVs and related technologies. Through Moodle's efforts to maintain security, this paper presents a detailed review of security-related challenges in software-defined networks and network virtualization services.
