  • Packet-based mobile multimedia services for the Internet differ with respect to their resource requirements, performance objectives, and resource usage efficiencies. Nonetheless, each mobile terminal should support a variety of multimedia services, sometimes even simultaneously. This paper proposes a sub-channel allocation scheme based on multi-level priority for supporting mobile multimedia services in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system. We attempt to optimize the system for satisfying the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of users and maximize the capacity of the system at the same time. In order to achieve this goal, the proposed scheme considers the Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) of co-sub-channels in adjacent cells, the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) grade of each sub-channel in the local cell on a per-user basis, and the characteristics of the individual services before allocating sub-channels. We used a simulation to evaluate our scheme with the performance measure of the outage probabilities, delays, and throughput.

  • It was already proved that ATM has stability and flexibility of service applications, but because of the various characteristics of traffic and the QoS on user demandcaused by them, there are so many researches for traffic control method. In this paper, in order to give the more similar properties of the real traffic to the existing input traffic source, dividing them into four classes with different characteristics, and We proposed the integrated dynamic priority method, IDP which has advantages of the DMLT and the DQLT for time dynamic priority. Thus, it makes input queues about each of traffic classes and thresholds, and then use modified DMLT and DQLT methods. It has goal that proposed method to get more reliability and stability with advantage low loss of the DMLT, low delay of DQLT.

  • We present guaranteed dynamic priority assignment schemes for multiple real-time tasks subject to (m, k)-firm deadlines. The proposed schemes have two scheduling objectives: providing a bounded probability of missing (m, k)-firm constraints and maximizing the probability of deadline satisfactions. The second scheduling objective is especially necessary in order to provide the best quality of service as well as to satisfy the minimum requirements expressed by (m, k)-firm deadlines. We analytically establish that the proposed schemes provide a guarantee on the bounded probability of missing (m, k)-firm constraints. Experimental studies validate our analytical results and confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed schemes with regard to their scheduling objectives.

  • In this paper, we present results of a study of congestion control for real-time communication based on ATM networks. In ATM networks, congestion usually results in cell loss. Based on the time limit and priority, the cells that compete for the same output line could be lined according to the character of real-time service. We adopt priority control algorithm for providing different QoS bearer services that can be implemented by using threshold methods at the ATM switching nodes, the cells of different deadline and priority could be deal with according to the necessity. Experiments show the proposed algorithm is effective in the congestion control of ATM real-time networks

  • With the advancement of Internet technology, online sales and purchases of products have become active. Along with this, the importance of user reviews is also being highlighted. Although user reviews are actively utilized for product sales and purchases, it is difficult to quickly and easily obtain useful information due to the abundance of user reviews. Therefore, prioritizing user reviews is a necessary service for customers that requires careful consideration. Metadata, which contains important information, can be effectively used to prioritize user reviews. However, it is crucial to select and use metadata appropriately according to the purpose. Lean Startup proposes a strategy of repeatedly correcting the problems of ideas or making early transitions to continue trying different approaches. In this paper, we propose a three-step method applying the Lean Startup process to analyze ways to prioritize user reviews using metadata: Build Priority, Measure Priority, Learn Priority.

  • We present an estimation model for optimal channel capacity required to data traffic transmission. The optimal channel capacity should be calculated in order to satisfy the permitted transmission delay of each wireless data services. Considering the discrete-time operation of digital communication systems and batch arrival of packet-switched traffic for various wireless services, $Geo^x$/G/1 non-preemptive priority queueing model is analyzed. Based on the heuristic interpretation of the mean waiting time, the mean waiting times of various data packets which have the service priority. Using the mean waiting times of service classes, we propose the procedure of determining the optimal channel capacity to satisfy the quality of service requirement of the mean delay of wireless services. We look forward to applying our results to improvement in wireless data services and economic operation of the network facilities.

  • Multimedia streaming service is susceptible to loss and delay of data as it requires high bandwidth and real time processing. Therefore QoS cannot be guaranteed due to data loss caused by heavy network traffic and error of wireless channel. To solve these problems, studies about algorithms which improve the quality of multimedia by serving differently according to the priority of packets in multimedia stream. Two algorithms are proposed in this paper. The first algorithm proposed is WMS-1(Wireless Multimedia Scheduling-1) algorithm which acts like IWFQ when any wireless loss is occurred but assigns channels first in case of urgent situation like when the running time of multimedia runs out. The second algorithm proposed is WMS-2(Wireless Multimedia Scheduling-2) algerithm that assigns priority to multimedia flow and schedules flow that has higher priority according to type of frame first. The comparison with other existing scheduling algorithms shows that multimedia service quality of the proposed algorithm is improved and the larger the queue size of base station is, the better total quality of service and fairness were gained.

  • Many domestic studies related to service quality are performed but the study on computing Service Quality Score is not yet activated. Because Service quality measurement plays an important role in assessing service performance and diagnosing service problems, it is very important that service quality is measured exactly. Therefore this study offered realistic approach method for computing Service Quality Score by using T.L. Saaty's Analytic Hierarchy Process technique. That is, Service Quality Score of this study is computed by using customer's priority(weights) for five dimensions(Tangible, Reliability, Assurance, Responsiveness, Empathy). This method is more realistic than the existing method computed by an arithmetical average of dimension's variables.
