Incidence, Risk Factors, and Prediction of Myocardial Infarction and Stroke in Farmers: A Korean Nationwide Population-based Study

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to determine the incidence and risk factors of myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke in farmers compared to the general population and to establish 5-year prediction models. Methods: The farmer cohort and the control cohort were generated using the customized database of the National Health Insurance Service of Korea database and the National Sample Cohort, respectively. The participants were followed from the day of the index general health examination until the events of MI, stroke, or death (up to 5 years). Results: In total, 734 744 participants from the farmer cohort and 238 311 from the control cohort aged between 40 and 70 were included. The age-adjusted incidence of MI was 0.766 and 0.585 per 1000 person-years in the farmer and control cohorts, respectively. That of stroke was 0.559 and 0.321 per 1000 person-years in both cohorts, respectively. In farmers, the risk factors for MI included male sex, age, personal history of hypertension, diabetes, current smoking, creatinine, metabolic syndrome components (blood pressure, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol). Those for stroke included male sex, age, personal history of hypertension, diabetes, current smoking, high γ-glutamyl transferase, and metabolic syndrome components (blood pressure, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol). The prediction model showed an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.735 and 0.760 for MI and stroke, respectively, in the farmer cohort. Conclusions: Farmers had a higher age-adjusted incidence of MI and stroke. They also showed distinct patterns in cardiovascular risk factors compared to the general population.

컴포넌트에 기반한 여행자정보고급화 시스템의 설계 (A Design of Advanced Traveler Information System based on Component)

  • 지능형 교통 시스템(ITS)은 여행자에게 출발 전 또는 출발 후 도움이 되는 서비스와 유용한 데이터를 제공하는 여행자정보고급화 시스템을 포함하고 있다. 이 시스템은 출발전교통정보 안내 서브시스템, 운전중 교통정보제공 서브시스템, 동적주행안내 서브시스템들로 구성되어 있다. 여행자정보고급화 시스템은 표준화 작업을 총괄하는 기준 프레임워크인 국가 아키텍쳐에 따라 설계될 필요가 있다. 최근 소프트웨어 기술이 급속히 개선되고 안정화됨에 따라 미리 개발된 강력한 ITS 기술도 재사용 할 필요성이 있다. 컴포넌트와 개방형 인터페이스에 기반한 ITS 표준화는 현재 ITS 기술의 재사용성 문제를 해결하는 방법이 된다. 본 논문은 UML을 이용하여 컴포넌트에 기반한 여행자정보고급화 시스템을 설계한 결과를 제시하고 있으며 이 UML 방법은 새로 개발되는 ITS 컴포넌트를 위한 표준화된 모델을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

ESTIMATION OF DUCTILE FRACTURE BEHAVIOR INCORPORATING MATERIAL ANISOTROPY

  • Since standardized fracture test specimens cannot be easily extracted from in-service components, several alternative fracture toughness test methods have been proposed to characterize the deformation and fracture resistance of materials. One of the more promising alternatives is the local approach employing the SP(Small Punch) testing technique. However, this process has several limitations such as a lack of anisotropic yield potential and tediousness in the damage parameter calibration process. The present paper investigates estimation of ductile fracture resistance(J-R) curve by FE(Finite Element) analyses using an anisotropic damage model and enhanced calibration procedure. In this context, specific tensile tests to quantify plastic strain ratios were carried out and SP test data were obtained from the previous research. Also, damage parameters constituting the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman model in conjunction with Hill's 48 yield criterion were calibrated for a typical nuclear reactor material through a genetic algorithm. Finally, the J-R curve of a standard compact tension specimen was predicted by further detailed FE analyses employing the calibrated damage parameters. It showed a lower fracture resistance of the specimen material than that based on the isotropic yield criterion. Therefore, a more realistic J-R curve of a reactor material can be obtained effectively from the proposed methodology by taking into account a reduced load-carrying capacity due to anisotropy.

체인 패밀리 레스토랑의 고객 만족 및 고객 충성도에 미치는 요인 분석 (Analysis of the Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty in a Family Restaurant Chain)

  • Purpose - When it comes to first impressions of family restaurants, people basically think of the following factors: cozy, a refreshing space, indoor lighting, atmospheric music, the best-quality service through mutual interactions with employees, birthday events, follow-up customer management, brand image, and many others. Focusing on such family restaurants characteristics, with consumption experience and customer satisfaction determined as mediator variables, this study looks into the selection factors that affect customer loyalty when choosing a family restaurant. Subsequently, the study conducts an empirical analysis of these selection factors with the greatest influence. Research design, data, and methodology - This study analyzed 200 total surveys of family restaurant customers including college students, workers, housewives, and others. The survey was conducted over two weeks in May 2014. For statistical processing, SPSS 21 was used for factor analysis and reliability analysis as well as AMOS for structural equation analysis. In terms of a variable that would influence either consumption experience or customer satisfaction at the restaurants, the study introduced the concept of customer equity. The study designed a model based on a hypothesis developed using the following factors: customer encounter service value, customer convenience value, brand equity, relationship equity, and other factors defined as components of customer equity by Rust et al. (2000) determined as independent variables as well as with customer experience and customer satisfaction set as mediator variables. The hypothesis, after all, assumed that customer loyalty would be positively (+) influenced. Results - The analysis results from the study reported that brand value, customer encounter service value, and relationship value have positive (+) effects on consumption experience and customer satisfaction. However, as for customer convenience value, this turned out not to have a statistically significant influence on consumption experience and customer satisfaction. In regard to a relation between consumption experience and customer satisfaction, the results showed that the former affects the latter, and in terms of intervening variables, both of these appeared to have a positive (+) effect on customer loyalty. Conclusions - This study suggests that family restaurants should look for strategies that focus on how to promote customer relationships. For example, restaurants could try birthday events or discount events to achieve this goal. Since the study ended up realizing relatively low levels of suitability and statistical significance, the path of the study changed. After all, in order to increase suitability and statistical significance, the study had to eliminate factors such as service quality and others and for this reason the study was unable to conduct the analysis as initially planned. In addition, the data samples of the research were mainly gathered from students, which made it hard to say that the analysis was carried out on samples from every different group. Future research should analyze the characteristics of each group of customers for factors affecting customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in the family restaurant chain.

해운서비스 품질이 고객만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Influence of Shipping companies' Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty)

  • 본 논문에서는 해운서비스의 가장 기초적이고 중요한 소비자인 수출입업자들과 중간 공급자이면서 동시에 중요한 소비자인 복합운송주선인들을, 해운기업을 기본 공급자로 보았을 때, 큰 의미의 같은 해운서비스의 소비자로 보고 동일한 설문지를 작성하여 조사하였고, 본 연구의 목적을 체계 있게 구성하기 위해 문헌연구도 병행하였다. 서비스 품질을 측정하는 방법으로는 SERVPERF 모델을 사용하였다. 지각된 해운서비스에 대한 고객만족과 고객충성도 간의 관계에 대한 개념적 모형과 연구가설을 설정하였으며, 이렇게 설정된 연구가설을 검정하기 위해 고객인 수출입업체와 복합운송주선업체의 해운서비스 구매 담당 부서 임직원들, 실무 담당사원들을 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과를 통해서 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 서비스 품질의 5가지 차원인 유형성, 신뢰성, 반응성, 확신성, 공감성을 사용한 SERVPERF 척도가 해운서비스 품질의 경우 요인분석 결과 명확히 5개 차원으로 구분되지 않았다. 선행연구들도 2개, 4개 등으로 나타났는데, 본 연구의 결과는 3개 차원이었다. 유형성은 '유형성', 신뢰성과 응답성은 하나로 묶어져서 본 연구에서는 '신뢰성'으로 명명하였고, 확신성과 공감성도 하나로 묶어져서 '확신성'으로 명명하였다. 해운서비스의 특성에 맞는 측정도구의 개발이 필요하다는 점이다. 둘째, 해운서비스의 소비자인 수출입업체와 복합운송주선업체가 지각한 서비스 품질유형성은 고객만족에 정(+)의 영향을 끼치는데, 유형성이란 외적 물적 요소를 말하므로, 비록 해운산업의 경우 서비스 구매 시 현장의 외형적 요소의 중요성이 경시되어 오긴 했지만, 향후 환경요인인 깨끗한 객장이 해운서비스 구매에 미치는 영향이 커질 것으로 보여 진다. 이를 위해 경영자들은 기업의 긍정적 이미지를 창출할 수 있는 고객을 위한 시설 투자에도 관심을 기울여야 할 것이다. 셋째, 해운서비스의 고객만족은 고객충성도에 정(+)의 영향을 끼친다. 일반적인 서비스 산업의 경우와 같이 해운산업도 고객만족은 고객충성도와 밀접한 관계를 가진 것으로 분석되었다. 그동안 맡은 선행연구에서 해운서비스 또는 항만서비스 품질과 고객만족에 관한 연구들은 많았지만, 고객충성도까지 연결해 온 연구가 맡지 않았음을 볼 때 이 결론으로 고객만족과 고객충성도의 관계는 상호간에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

사물인터넷 헬스케어 서비스를 위한 oneM2M기반 ISO/IEEE 11073 DIM 전송 구조 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of ISO/IEEE 11073 DIM Transmission Structure Based on oneM2M for IoT Healthcare Service)

  • 사물 인터넷 (Internet of Things : IoT) 환경에서 IoT 디바이스들은 전원이나 메모리 등의 물리적 구성요소들에 의해 제한되며 대역폭, 무선 채널, 처리율, 페이로드 등의 네트워크 성능 또한 제한적임에도 불구하고 타 IoT 디바이스들과 리소스를 공유한다. 특히 IoT 헬스케어 서비스에 있어서 원격 디바이스 정보 관리 뿐만 아니라 원격 환자 정보관리가 매우 중요하며, 더욱이, 사물인터넷 헬스케어 디바이스와 헬스케어 플랫폼간 상호연동성 지원이 매우 중요하다. 이를 위해서는 헬스케어 디바이스와 헬스케어 플랫폼간 데이터 정보 표현, 데이터 전송 표현, 메시지 규격 등이 사물인터넷 환경에 적합한 국제표준 준수가 매우 필요하다. 하지만, 기존의 국제의료정보 전송표준인 ISO/IEEE 11073 PHD (Personal Healthcare Device) 표준에서는 사물인터넷 환경 (네트워크 프로토콜)을 고려하지 않아 사물인터넷 헬스케어 서비스에 적용하기 어렵다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 표준인 oneM2M과 의료정보 전송표준인 ISO/IEEE 11073 DIM(Domain Information Model)을 적용한 사물인터넷 헬스케어 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현을 위해 oneM2M 기반인 OM2M 플랫폼을 활용하였고, 헬스케어 디바이스와 OM2M 플랫폼간 효율적인 전송 구문에 대한 평가를 위해 HTTP와 CoAP간, XML과 JSON간 단일 처리과정의 패킷 사이즈와 전송 패킷 수 등을 성능 분석하였다.

Estimation of Genetic Parameters and Trends for Weaning-to-first Service Interval and Litter Traits in a Commercial Landrace-Large White Swine Population in Northern Thailand

  • The objectives of this research were the estimation of genetic parameters and trends for weaning-to-first service interval (WSI), and litter traits in a commercial swine population composed of Landrace (L), Large White (T), LT, and TL animals in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. The dataset contained 4,399 records of WSI, number of piglets born alive (NBA), litter weight of live piglets at birth (LBW), number of piglets at weaning (NPW), and litter weight at weaning (LWW). Variance and covariance components were estimated with REML using 2-trait analyses. An animal model was used for WSI and a sire-dam model for litter traits. Fixed effects were farrowing year-season, breed group of sow, breed group of boar (litter traits), parity, heterosis (litter traits), sow age, and lactation length (NPW and LWW). Random effects were boar (litter traits), sow, permanent environment, and residual. Heritabilities for direct genetic effects were low for WSI (0.04${\pm}$0.02) and litter traits (0.05${\pm}$0.02 to 0.06${\pm}$0.02). Most heritabilities for maternal litter trait effects were 20% to 50% lower than their direct counterparts. Repeatability for WSI was similar to its heritability. Repeatabilities for litter traits ranged from 0.15${\pm}$0.02 to 0.18${\pm}$F0.02. Direct genetic, permanent environment, and phenotypic correlations between WSI and litter traits were near zero. Direct genetic correlations among litter traits ranged from 0.56${\pm}$0.20 to 0.95${\pm}$0.05, except for near zero estimates between NBA and LWW, and LBW and LWW. Maternal, permanent environment, and phenotypic correlations among litter traits had similar patterns of values to direct genetic correlations. Boar genetic trends were small and significant only for NBA (-0.015${\pm}$0.005 piglets/yr, p<0.004). Sow genetic trends were small, negative, and significant (-0.036${\pm}$0.013 d/yr, p<0.01 for WSI; -0.017${\pm}$0.005 piglets/yr, p<0.007, for NBA; -0.015${\pm}$0.005 kg/yr, p<0.01, for LBW; -0.019${\pm}$0.008 piglets/yr, p<0.02, for NPW; and -0.022${\pm}$0.006 kg/yr, p<0.003, for LWW). Permanent environmental correlations were small, negative, and significant only for WSI (-0.028${\pm}$0.011 d/yr, p<0.02). Environmental trends were positive and significant only for litter traits (p<0.01 to p<0.0003). Selection based on predicted genetic values rather than phenotypes could be advantageous in this population. A single trait analysis could be used for WSI and a multiple trait analysis could be implemented for litter traits.

  • 품질은 조직성과에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이기에 조합원이 지각하는 품질을 정확하고 효과적으로 측정할 수 있어야 한다. 소비자생활협동조합(이하 생협)은 산업 분류상 유통업으로 볼 수 있으며 유통업 품질에 대한 다양한 연구들이 존재하나 일반 유통 업태와 비교해볼 때, 생협이 제공하는 가치를 감안한 고유 특성을 조합원이 인식하는 품질차원을 기준으로 진행한 연구는 희소하다. 소비자이자 소유자인 조합원의 시각에서 생협품질을 어떻게 바라보는지를 세밀하고 정교하게 분석하여 품질차원과 하위 속성을 개발하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 이를 위해서는 기존의 품질 차원 선행연구를 바탕으로 생협품질차원을 새롭게 개발하고 품질 구성요소를 실증한다. 생협 품질 차원은 제품, 서비스, 사회적책임이라는 생협 가치에 적합한 차원을 선행연구를 통해 개발하고 설문조사를 시행하여 국내 4대 생협 조합원을 대상으로 실증하였다. 이를 통해 하위차원들을 구성하고 고차원 모형의 품질 차원을 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 통해 실증하였다. 경영진에게 품질경영 차원의 중점 관리 요소를 발굴하고 실무적 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

인터넷 오픈마켓에서의 소비자 불만유형에 따른 공정성지각 효과의 비교 (The Effects of Perceived Justice According to Type of Consumer Complaints in the Internet Open Market)

  • This study focused on the consumer post-complaint behavior in the Internet open market due to the rapid growth of Internet fashion markets and increased consumer dissatisfaction that has increased post complaint behavior. This study identifies the effect of perceived justice on consumer trust and repurchase intention, it then compares the effects of perceived justice on consumer trust and repurchase intention among the different types of dissatisfied groups. The respondents were 369 consumers who experienced dissatisfaction in the Internet open market. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, path analysis, ANOVA, cluster analysis using SPSS win 12.0 and Amos 7.0. In the research model, three components of perceived justice: distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice have significant effects on trust. Trust has a positive effect on repurchase intention. Dissatisfied consumers were clustered into three types of those dissatisfied with 1) shopping mall/shipping, 2) service, and 3) products. The consumer groups classified by the types of dissatisfaction showed different effects of perceived justice on trust and repurchase intention in the Internet open market.

Thermal effect on dynamic performance of high-speed maglev train/guideway system

  • Temperature fields and temperature deformations induced by time-varying solar radiation, shadow, and heat exchange are of great importance for the ride safety and quality of the maglev system. Accurate evaluations of their effects on the dynamic performances are necessary to avoid unexpected loss of service performance. This paper presents a numerical approach to determine temperature effects on the maglev train/guideway interaction system. Heat flux density and heat transfer coefficient of different components of a 25 m simply supported concrete guideway on Shanghai High-speed Maglev Commercial Operation Line is calculated, and an appropriate section mesh is used to consider the time-varying shadow on guideway surfaces. Based on the heat-stress coupled technology, temperature distributions and deformation fields of the guideway are then computed via Finite Element method. Combining guideway irregularities and thermal deformations as the external excitations, a numerical maglev train/guideway interaction model is proposed to analyze the temperature effect. The responses comparison including and excluding temperature effect indicates that the temperature deformation plays an important role in amplifying the response of a running maglev, and the parameter analysis results suggest that climatic and environmental factors significantly affect the temperature effects on the coupled maglev system.
