The era of express train in Korea has come since April in 2004. The KTX(Korea Train Express) which has introduced the technology of TGV of France is regraded as good as the ICE of Germany or Shinkansen of Japanese in its hardware aspects. However there are still many things to be improved in its software aspects such as the quality of services, since the new express railway system is in the early beginning stage. To improve the quality of services, we should first measure and analyze the current level of the service quality. Using SERVQUAL model, the service level of KTX is measured and analyzed in this paper. Issues on how to improve the service quality are discussed based on the measurement and analysis.

The issue of using information system to ensure competitive power in the market is rising. The outsourcing methods that entrust activities of information system of companies to other expert agencies are increasing as the enterprises make a lot of efforts to put their resources to their heart of business in the process of adopting information system. Recently, ASP (Application Service Provider) as new information technology outsourcing method appears due to development of network technology and spreading of peculating software. ASP defines as a software leasing service which is supplied through networks instead of purchasing application software with high price. For successful implementation of ASP, it is necessary to develop a certification program to ensure safety and reliability of ASP. This paper provides the safe and reliable certification program for ASP. In order to develop it, the critical issues related to service quality and certification of ASP are identified and then evaluation methodology for ASP certification program is proposed. This paper presents application certification as the part of ASP certification program.

Recently, there are many problems of service qualities such as regular-rapid-safe -comfortable transport, that was traditionally advantages in urban railway transportations. These problems cause train delays that affects consecutive schedule, capacity, operation plans, and it is hard to prevent the propagation of delay and find the recovery solution. Because the urban transport demands is continuously increased and the railway service is also expanded, the railway operation company makes efforts to improve operation performance and efficiency for passengers. In this paper, we analyse the issues and problems existing in the major operation line of high-density urban railways, and suggest the development direction of intelligent operation technology to improve the urban railway service by minimizing the occurrence and propagation of delay. And the result of numerical case study is also presented.

In this paper, we have presented the results of Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network (WDM-PON) based fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) field trial test which was held in the city of Gwangju. We have implemented an injection locked Fabry-Perot Laser Diode (FP-LD) based WDM-PON system and reliably delivered Internet Protocol TV (IP-TV), networked Personal Video Recorder (N-PVR), High-Definition Video on Demand (HD-VoD), Education on Demand (EoD) and Internet service as FTTH service through the system during the field trial test. We have also verified that the WDM-PON system worked well to provide quality of service (QoS) guaranteed 100Mbps bandwidth per subscriber. Furthermore, we have presented network designing issues in Outside Plant (OSP) and Customer Premises Network (CPN) that should be overcome to efficiently deploy FTTH service. Finally, based on the field trial test results, we proposed FTTH service deployment strategies.

Purpose With the development of information and communication technologies. fintech industry is rapidly growing as a major financial service. Previous research literatures mainly focused on overall characteristics and technical aspects of fintech including security issues. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of individual features influencing the resistance of adopting a fintech service. Moreover, this paper included the guidelines in practical development of fintech mechanism. Design/methodology/approach For research purposes, this study developed research hypotheses in order to empirically examine the effect of the factors that might have a significant effect on the resistance of the wearable device. The empirical research was based on a survey which carried through 359 participants. Research hypotheses were evaluated via SPSS Statistics 21.0 and AMOS 19 statistical package program. Findings Results showed that self-efficacy and individual innovation had a significant effect on the technostress and switching cost. In addition, technostress, security and switching cost had a significant effect on the resistance of adopting a fintech service. However, more factors are needed to including in research model to generalize these results.

The purpose of this study was to find the existential meanings of the culturally marginalized community organization. Based on the findings, the study examined the issues related to operating the organization and found the ways of helping such organization through service learning programs. For the study, the researcher chose the Korean school of Knoxville in the USA as a service community organization. This study used a qualitative method using narrative construction in the nature of the text shapes with first-person point of views. The research findings were discussed based on the observations and participation in the organization. The study found that the Korean school plays a role as a cultural liaison connecting the Korean culture to other cultures while enabling students to critically accept their native systems, values, and customs through understanding of their native language. However, problems were found in operating the school due to the lack of skills and knowledge of the school administration. Suggestions were made and implemented to the school in order to improve the performance of the school.

One of the most fundamental and the oldest issues in the provision of health care throughout the world has been the issue of the role of the public and private sector of health care, and the relationship between them. This paper describes issues associated with the concept of health oriented partnerships in the United Kingdom and seeks to contrast public and private partnerships both in health and in health care. In the United Kingdom it is suggested that health care is conceived by the population to equate to the National Health Service(NHS) with "add on" private health care for certain sectors of the community and within certain well defined clinical parameters. This paper can provide us with valuable information on the characteristics of UK health care systems, current health policies as well as issues relating to the public and private partnerships in health/ health care in the UK, thus offer important policy implications for the improvement of Korean health care system which lacks health-oriented coordinations and partnership between public and private sector very considerably.

Expectation for improvement of creativity and problem-solving capability has increased the creative robotics classes in the form of after-school activity in more than half of total elementary schools. While Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has promoted 'Green IT Guidelines' as a part of 'Eco-friendly Green School Development Project', the Green issues have not been considered enough in those creative robotics classes. In this paper, we would like to address the Green issues, especially in the r-Learning services based on UCR (User Created Robots). First, trend of green IT education, r-Learning services and UCR are reviewed. And the current status of eco-related operations and teachers' perception in the robotics classes of elementary schools is investigated. Examples of Green UCR are also searched and green programs based on the three kinds of UCR, UC-TR, UC-AR, UC-CR, are explored. Finally, we propose action plans to promote the UCR-based r-Learning service reflecting green issues.

Various problems on logistics systems have been dealt with recently as research issues since they were regarded critical for taking up a better position in the increasingly competitive global market. In particular, the freight transportation is considered as a key factor which affects the economic competitiveness of a whole nation as well as the production cost of individual companies. The objective of this study is to identify main issues and review recent foreign and domestic studies related to the freight transportation. The studies are classified into two categories according to the hierarchical level in the decision making process: infra structure design and transportation strategies, service design and operation. Main issues are introduced with a brief review on the related literature and methodologies applied.

Compared with the earlier technique of dual photon absorptiometry (DPA) using $^{153}Gd$ radionuclide source, dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) has advantages of higher precision, accuracy and shorter scanning time. Despite the change from DPA to DPX, the nuclear medicine physicians has remained one of major suplier of this service due to long-standing use of DPA. Among many kinds of bone densitometries, DXA is the "gold standard" for the noninvasive diagnosis of osteoporosis. Especially there is no role for peripheral devices in the monitoring of patients on therapy. But, there are some areas of controversy related to the application of DXA, such as proper site of measurement, accurate interpritation, appropriate use of T-score, and the reference population young database. And the accuracy, precision, and quality control issues relating to bone density measurement are important subjects. To address these issues, the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) has convened two Position Development Conferences and addressed official positions. This review deals the key elements of ISCD position paper and other important issues on the management of bone densitometry.
