방송 기술과 통신 기술의 융합은 유비쿼터스 네트워크를 위한 핵심 기술 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 AT-DMB(advanced terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting) 방송망과 통신망의 융합망을 제안하고, MIIS(media independent information server/service)를 통한 방송 시스템과 통신 시스템 간 연동을 제공하는 융합 시스템을 제안한다. 특히, 방송통신 융합망에서 QoS(Quality of Service)와 전력절감의 향상을 위한 fast wakeup and connection 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 기술은 사용자 단말의 휴지기 인터페이스로 유입되는 서비스 지연과 해당 인터페이스의 전력소모를 최소화하는 기술이다. 끝으로, 시뮬레이션 및 성능분석을 통해 제안하는 기술이 서비스 지연을 감소시키면서 전력소모를 최소화할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

최근 한국에서는 고령화가 본격적으로 진행되어 가족이나 개인중심의 노인돌봄시스템이 한계에 도달하였다. 본 연구는 장기요양등급자로 재가서비스를 받고 있거나 등급외자로 돌봄서비스를 받고 있는 노인을 대상으로 하는 재활 및 건강증진, 삶의 질 향상을 위한 적절한 서비스를 개발하는 목적을 갖는다. 특히 공급자입장의 품질 관리 측면에서 접근하였으며 서비스관리공급자인 기관 및 서비스제공자인 요양보호사를 대상으로 FGI 조사를 실시하고, 지역사회복지사와 방문간호사 대상 심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구결과에서는 서비스 공급자 및 제공자 간 서비스 내용에 대한 의식차이가 나타났고 또한 적절한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 지역사회에서 영역별로 분리되어 있는 케어서비스를 융합하기 위한 통합 교육 및 팀워크 훈련 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

V2X 카 융합서비스 환경에서, 인포테인먼트 서비스와 운전자 관리 서비스 가운데 주요 서비스는 드라이버, 유지보수 관리자, 고객, 익명의 사용자의 중요한 정보를 중심으로 지원되어야 한다. 많은 소프트웨어 어플리케이션들이 운전 관리 프로그램과 계획의 특정 요구조건을 만족하기 위해 솔루션을 고려해오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 V2X 융합서비스 환경에서 클리닉 환경설정, 클리닉, 클리닉 페이지, 맴버십, 클리닉 요청 처리, 운전자 프로파일 데이터, 클리닉 맴버십 데이터 그리고 클리닉 인증을 포함한 운전자용 차량 진단을 위한 안전한 관리 시스템의 Data flow diagram을 설명하였다. STRIDE 모델 가운데 스푸핑, 탬퍼링, 부인방지, 노출, 서비스 거부, 권한 관리와 같은, ITS 진단 시스템의 보안 위협 이슈를 중심으로 고찰하였다.

Technological advances made with the development of digital technology and the Internet have led to the emergence and evolution of digital convergence - the integration of media and communications. This, in turn, has led to the creation of the representative broadcast and communication convergence business model (IPTV service). This study examines the consumption patterns and behaviors of IPTV service customers and explores the process of their continuous use of the IPTV service, thereby endeavoring to contribute to the diffusion of digital convergence services. To survey customers' continuous use of the IPTV service, this study first designs a research framework based on an examination of the existing literature on satisfaction, loyalty, and so on. In addition, research is conducted on the switching barrier of the method of consolidating customers' adherence to a given IPTV service by increasing the burden on them, thereby developing a final research model with which to attempt yet another heterogeneous approach. This enables not only an analysis of the causal relationship with antecedent variables but also a measurement of the explanatory contribution of the antecedent variables' sub-variables.

This letter describes a file format designed for interactive music service where users are able to recompose music based on their own preferences. The proposed design utilizes the flexible features of the ISO base media file format (ISO/IEC 14496-12, ISO-BMFF). The techniques offered in the proposed file format enable compact storage and efficient preset management, allowing users to recompose music with ease and convenience. Additionally, an implementation scheme for an interactive music player is shown along with its results.

The era of convergence is being applied to all areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The convergence of broadcasting service and communication service almost occurs on smart devices including smartphone. The smart hybrid Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) is a typical example of the convergence of broadcasting and wireless communication service. The hybrid mobile broadcasting service can support seamless video, 3D, high quality, and additional data services based on network connection between the broadcasting and wireless network. The gateway and terminal (including apps on the smartphone) take the role of the main components on the hybrid service. This paper presents the service concept, main components structure, the implementation of gateway and terminals, and field test to the urban areas for the mobile hybrid system.

Interference scenarios and methodologies between a terrestrial mobile service (MS) system and mobile-satellite service (MSS) system in a co-channel environment are established. Taking into account a practical deployment situation for both systems, we perform computational simulation of interference in terms of carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) and interference-to-noise ratio (I/N) to evaluate the cofrequency interference from an MS system into an MSS system, and from an MSS system into an MS system, respectively. The methodology and results can be used as a guide when planning the deployment of MSS and MS systems with no unacceptable interference impact between them.

Recently, various types of information and communication technology (ICT) such as cloud computing, big data, and virtual reality have been progressed in the world. Also, it is expected that there are many domestic and foreign visitors in Gangwon-do due to the Pyeongchang winter olympic games in 2018. In this environment, it is necessary to improve the competitiveness of Gangwon-do in winter sports areas exploiting both existing IT infrastructure and application technologies. In this paper, for sustainable development of Gangwon-do winter sports IT industry after the Olympics, we propose efficient implementation methods of 3 winter sports IT convergence services and Gangwon-do ICT activation strategy. The proposed 3 winter sports IT service areas are as follows. 1) Realistic winter sports IT service, 2) Winter sports medical IT service 3) Winter sports record analysis IT service.

The most popular convergent services are being made mostly out of IT related services and devices. To help understand the underlying principles making convergent services the paper suggests a logical view of converging process. A service is assumed to consist of unit services that can be used in algorithmic operations to form a new convergent service. Convergence operations for a couple of unit services are typed according to whether the unit services are modified. Internal convergence leads to a new service from a combination of sub units of the two unit services. External convergences do not alter original unit services but simply combine them to form a new service. The paper also suggests several measurements to evaluate the convergent services with respect to the existing services used to create the new convergent service.

Telecommunications-broadcasting convergence in the domain of IT is a representative phenomenon that is expected to provide the saturated existing markets with a new source of profit. Especially, T-Commerce combines familiarity of TV and immediacy of the Internet which are expected to cover all the users familiar with each media and expand the existing commercial transactions. Telecommunications-broadcasting convergence in Korea, however, is focusing on technical and regulatory aspects so that research on the real users is not up to the mark yet. This is the most fundamental problem in hampering growth in the corresponding service and market. Thus, we are proposing an adoption model on T-Commerce to rapidly expand the convergence service through understanding the potential users. Perceived utilitarian and hedonic values, perceived interactivity, media substitution and personal innovativeness have been examined as the factors influencing the users' intention to adopt a new convergence service. As a result of empirical analysis, it is verified that perceived utilitarian and hedonic values and personal innovativeness directly influenced the users' intention to adopt whereas perceived interactivity had indirect affect on them. T-Commerce service providers should not only emphasize on the benefit that the older media could not provide the users with, but also provide them with more pleasure and entertaining experience during the course of satisfying the users' needs to distinguish T-Commerce from the other existing media.
