Cloud-Based DRM Service Model for Secure Contents Service (안전한 콘텐츠 서비스를 위한 클라우드 기반 DRM 서비스 모델)

  • The mobile devices and cloud computing technology introduced new content services such as N-Screen service. The DRM techniques have been developed to support interoperability and multi-platform for new environment of content service. Nevertheless, it is still inconvenient for the consumers to purchase a new DRM-supported device or to migrate some purchased contents into new device due to the change of the subscription of service. Therefore, in this paper, cloud-based DRM model which is referred as DRMaaS (DRM-as-a-Service) model, is proposed to allow the consumer to freely use and move some DRM-protected contents in various smart devices regardless of subscription of service.

  • As the use of smart devices is being increased rapidly by the development of internet and IT technology, the contents production and utilization rate are showing higher increase, too. In addition, the type of contents also shows very diverse forms such as education, game, video, UCC, etc. In the meantime, the contents are reproduced in diverse forms by reprocessing the original contents, and they are being serviced through the contents service platform. Therefore, the platform to make the contents reprocessing easy and fast is needed. As the diverse contents distribution channels such as YouTube, SNS, App Service, etc, easier contents distribution platform is needed, and the development of the relevant area is expected. In addition, as the selective consumption of the contents having easy accessibility through diverse smart devices is distinguished, the demand for the platform and service that can identify the contents consumption propensity by individual is being increased. Therefore, in this study, to vitalize the online contents distribution, the contents reproduction and publishing platform, was designed and materialized, which can reproduce and distribute the contents based on the real-time contents editing technology in URL unit and the consumer propensity analysis technology using the data management-based broadcasting contents distribution metadata technology and the edited image contents streaming technology. In addition, in the results of comparing with other platforms through the experiment, the performance superiority of the suggested platform was verified. If the suggested platform is applied to the areas of education, broadcasting, press, etc, the multi-media contents can be reproduced and distributed easily, through which the vitalization of contents-related industry is expected.

  • This study analyzed the regional current status of city J which has growth potentials of regional information, its necessity and the characteristic of the regional information for this area. The development plans of contents on the regional information based on the construction of the information infrastructure, are proposed to the important fields such as the fields of administration, industry and life information. We have also studied such as the development contents, process, providing of service, evaluation, interaction among the contents, demanders of service and providers of service related to their contents. Therefore proposal to the development plans of contents for the regional information, is able to be brought into much spread of regional information and will contribute to the development of regional information as well as get more competitive regional power.

Contents Authoring Tool for Early Childhood Education (유아교육을 위한 콘텐츠 저작 도구)

  • This paper implements the graphic service template authoring tool based on the service template object model of describing the meta information of the services for early childhood education in the semantic web service environment. Our proposed system provides the robot services by constructing web services automatically and making the appropriate service plans. Moreover, it can create, append, delete, and update the service templates of URC based on STDL, and provide the graphic function on service template resources. In order to provide the user friendly environment in the service template phase, we implement the various editing environment : flow view style, grid view style, and text view style. We also provide the easy editing function by realizing abstract service block based on the robot API. Finally we can offer the intelligent and autonomous service of service agent based on semantic information.

  • The Internet is encountering a new turning point owing to the raising Web 2.0. A user Just receives the information and service provided by a service provider in the existing web 2.0, but a user can create a new service for himself using an application program and data provided in web 2.0. The digital content market is producing a new service according to Web 2.0. The specific service among them is User Created Contents(UCC) and it is leading to the participation and interesting of user SecondLife also which is the type as Social Network Service(SNS) and VR, is placing as a new service type. This paper defines Web 2.0 environment and classifies as UCC, SNS and Virtual Reality(VR) and defines a variety services shown in new environment. It also analyzes shortcomings and then prospect a new type of service which will be shown in the future.

  • The issues that we should consider in the process of providing mobile web service using a mobile device are seamless service and QoS-guaranteed service. HMIPv6 has MAP because of improving packet loss and transmission delay due to disconnection. However, a load is concentrated on HMIPv6 because of receiving and delivering packet for MN. Owing to this, real time data fails to be processed quickly, and also adaptive mobile service is required for QoS guaranteed service. However, this method demands the response time cost of contents service owing to the hardware differences of various devices. Therefore, we improve the process performance of real time data by applying a queue in MAP for seamless service in this paper. For decreasing response time cost, we propose mobile web service method which has reusable cache of contents using the elements of contents. The result of a numerical formula and simulation shows that our proposed method is superior under various system conditions.

  • Researchers who use science and technology information were found to ask an information service in which they can excerpt the contents they needed, rather than using the information at article level. In this study, we micronized the contents of scholarly articles into text, image, and table and then constructed a micro-content DB to design a new information system prototype based on this micro-content. After designing the prototype, we performed usability test for this prototype so as to confirm the usefulness of the system prototype. We expect that the outcome of this study will fulfill the segmented and diversified information need of researchers.
