A Study on the effects of Career Development Center Website Users' recognition on Contents Characteristics on User Responses (취업정보센터 웹사이트 이용자의 컨텐츠 특성에 대한 지각이 이용자 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study aims to examine the effects of Career Development Center website users' recognition on contents characteristics (User Convenience, Information, Customer Service) on user responses (User Satisfaction, User Loyalty). According to the research result, first, Career Development Center of website contents characteristics explained 36.4% User satisfaction, it was affected significantly Information, User Convenience, and Customer Service in order. Second, Career Development Center of website contents characteristics explained 36.2% User loyalty, it was affected significantly Information, Customer Service, and User Convenience in order. Thus, it was important that Web site contents was improved the Users satisfaction and loyalty of Career Development Center Web site.

The problems and improvement directions of certificate in-service training for "Environment" subjects ("환경"과 부전공 자격연수의 문제점과 개선방향)

  • The quality of environmental education in school depends on the quality of environment teacher, who develops his/her ability through avalible courses such as in-service training and communication et al. This study was performed with the questionnaire to 179 teachers who participated in certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects on winter of '95 and summer of '96. The questionnaire included 28 items, which could be categorized 5 parts : the environmental consciousness of teachers, their awareness of environmental education in schools, the reason of participation, the limits and requirements of learning field, avalible teaching and learning methods. The improvements and suggestions derived from this study are summarized as follows: First, it is necessary to differentiate in-service training concerning environment, because the motive of teacher's participation is diverse and is not always suitable to the purpose of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects. Second, the teaching contents and programs of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects have to be various according to the characteristics and major subjects of teachers. Third, it deserves special emphasis that the field trips and survey for the experiential study in field is supplemented in the teaching contents and programs of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects. Also, it is necessary to strengthen the environmental ethics and philosophy in the teaching contents and programs.

  • Recently, the importance of IPTV providing multimedia service over IP based networks managed to provide the required level of quality of service and experience, security, interactivity and reliability has been gradually increasing by the commercialization of its service. However, the original purposes of IPTV service - contents are produced and consumed anytime, anywhere, and over any device at the same time - have not been satisfied by service providers because most services offered by service providers depend on closed IPTV platform. In this paper, we propose an open IPTV service platform that an individual or small company can easily produce contents and offer IPTV service independently from the existing closed IPTV platform.. The proposed IPTV platform exploits overlay multicast scheme to offer reasonable service under the environment where network bandwidth and processor resource are limited. It also uses CDN-like scheme to ensure the quality of transmitted contents. The performance evaluation shows that the proposed IPTV platform has the possibility of being an open IPTV platform considering its results such as the quality of transmitted contents, the transmission rate, the channel zapping time, and so on. It also shows that proposed IPTV platform could be applied to real IPTV service with continuous enhancement of its functions and user interfaces.

  • Recently, as the era of ubiquitous has arrived, an infrastructure for the short-distance wireless communication has been extended socially, and thus a variety of services are being proposed. The Multimedia Contents Delivery System using the ZigBee, in particular, has an important stance in enlargement of a variety of services in the aspect of individual-oriented service support though Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). Nonetheless, the ZigBee, or the IEEE 802.15.4 Standard, has many restrictions on the Multimedia Contents Delivery System due to the low data transport rate. In order to improve the ZigBee which presents a limit on the transport rate at the IEEE 802.15.4 Standard, this thesis has designed the burst mode which is a method of transmitting a certain amount of data in block units at a high speed without any stoppage until the completion of the transmission. Also, to provide a Multimedia Contents Delivery Service with an application of the normal data transmission mode, it improved the transmission performance of the ZigBee. In addition, for the Multimedia Contents Delivery Service under the ubiquitous environment, it designed and implemented a broadcasting Multimedia Contents Delivery System based on the ZigBee to conduct a comparative analysis on the data transmission performance according to the transmission method.

  • The objective of this study is to lead balanced development of tourism industry by proving the nature of customer service which is one of the service characters as well as ultimate goal of tourism industry. This paper contains a few case studies of service industry customer service and proposed desirable development plan. This study tried differentiate customer service from management side in its role. Meanwhile, management and tourism industry integration, partly in the service channel, is a task to be studied continuously in terms of customer satisfaction.   • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the service characteristics of premium information contents, one of premium Internet contents, on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, as the premium Internet contents market has attained a rapid growth owing to the nationwide penetration of the Internet and its ease of use. Earlier studies were analyzed to define the service characteristics of premium Internet information contents, and a research model and hypotheses were formulated to find out the influence of the characteristics on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. After a survey was conducted, the analyzable answer sheets from 359 respondents were analyzed. As a result, four service factors of premium Internet information contents that were reliability, charge, usefulness and convenience were identified as the variables that had a significant impact on customer satisfaction, and the other two factors that were timeliness and diversity exerted no influence on that. And customer satisfaction affected customer loyalty in a significant manner. This study attempted to investigate the influential relationship of the diverse service characteristics of premium Internet information contents on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty to have a good understanding of the attitude and will of consumers who bought the premium information contents, and this study also intended to make a contribution to the improvement of the quality of information contents in an effort to step up the revitalization of the Internet contents market by helping the market attract more loyal customers.

Cyber In-Service Training Contents Development Regarding Environmental Literacy for Entry-Level Environmental Public Servants (신임환경공무원을 위한 환경소양 사이버 연수 콘텐츠 개발)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop cyber in-service training contents regarding environmental literacy for entry-level environmental public servants. The blended type of contents were developed, through literature review, contents analysis of other programs, and expert conferences. The validity of the contents developed was ensured experts in environment. Major research findings were as followings: First, there is a lack of time for entry-level environmental public servants to participate in the environmental in-service training programs. Therefore, cyber training can be a good solution to the problems with environmental training courses. It improves access to educational opportunities as it overcomes the limitations of time and space and provides hands-on experiences through multimedia materials that reflect the real world. Second, directions for developing cyber environmental education contents were represented in three parts; 1) strategies for developing cyber environmental education contents, 2) Models for developing cyber environmental education contents, 3) Contents selection for developing cyber environmental education contents Third, the developed contents for entry-level environmental officers consist of 4 domains: (1) the introduction to environment; (2) the natural scientific understanding of environment; (3) the humanistic understanding of environment; and (4) the social scientific understanding of environment. Fourth, the program developed was evaluated by 7 environmental education experts according to 10 evaluation items of total contents and contents development structure. In result, the validity of the program was ensured. Based on the results, some recommendations were suggested.

  • Mobile service is able to offer the elastic service to anyone regardless of the place and the tin. With this characteristics, the ubiquitous service could be also provided even to the place which the access was limited with the existing line service, which could improve the mutual connection and could result in the service extension Mobile communication companies, which realized the limit of sale only by telephone conversation, have made an effort to develop wireless internet with concentration as its alternation. Especially concentrating their effort both to the development of distinctive and various contents and to tin development of system for mobile service such as the mobile banking, mobile game and etc., they have done their best to secure the number of the people using the wireless internet. This study is to propose the electronic account system based on the mobile as a case study of contents production for such a mobile service. This system has its advantage to perform the financial management immediately when the income and outcome happen without limitation of the time and space. The information could be stored, searched and modified by using of the mobile phone for this system was made up for the weak point of the financial management for wired internet.

I am going to find out their strengths and weaknesses and the future directions. I started this study by discussing the direction of the UCC business. Now we see that the video UCC contents in the portal sites are growing gradually.

  • Recently there are so many media contents created and used by variety routes. Therefore, it is essential to make a new platform which is used for distributing media contents include IPTV. With open IPTV service, developing the new platform became even more important. Because open IPTV makes it possible for consumers to choose contents regardless of contents of the providers. The new platform has to accept current variety service structure. MPEG-21 multimedia framework was developed to satisfy these needs. It presented the distribution framework of the contents but didn't restrict the particular solutions for protecting the rights. In this paper, we present authoring and consuming system for package contents based on MPEG-21 Multimedia Framework for distributing media resources and managing the license of multimedia contents
