보육시설 내 여성노인 자원봉사활동 도입을 위한 탐색적 연구 -보육시설 종사자를 대상으로- (A Study on the Elderly Women's Voluntary Activities for Child Nursing Facilities -Centering around workers of child nursing facilities-)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a program that allows older women to provide voluntary services for child nursing facilities, making those women have more social participation, effectively their spare time and ultimately improve the quality of their life. Results of the study can be described as follows. First, social requests about the use of older women as volunteers for child nursing services were analyzed to show that most people working at child nursing facilities perceived lack in the number of child nursing teachers. Those people recognized the need of using older women as service volunteers for the facilities. They were very positive about such use. Second, it is recommendable that volunteers of child nursing service should be not too much older women, or below 65. Voluntary activities that those women participate include taking care of younger children, reading interesting stories for children, helping works of child homes, teaching manners and living attitudes, instructing dietary etiquettes and cooking. Voluntary service activities should be made 1 to 3 times a week, 1 to 2 hours a time, considering psychological and physical states of older people. Third, such older volunteers should be educated about 6 areas, 'the operation and management of child homes, 'practices', 'child health and safety', 'the quality of child nursing', 'child development and counseling' and 'voluntary service training'. Out of these six areas, 'child health and safety' and 'voluntary service training' are more required to be instructed. such training needs to focus on activities in which older women can actually engage as volunteers. Fourth, it is advisable that the recruitment and management of such volunteers are led by the city and that the development of training programs for voluntary service activities and education of the volunteers are referred to universities.

건강증진활동에 참여한 예비유아교사의 경험과 의미 탐색 (Exploration into Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers' Experience of Participation in Health Promotion Activities and Its Meaning)

  • Objective: This study aimed to explore the experience and meaning of pre-service early childhood teachers who practiced health promoting activities for themselves. Methods: Research participants were 115 pre-service early childhood teachers enrolled in the health education for children course at one college in G region. The reports of activity records of their eight-week long health promotion activities were collected as qualitative data followed by content analysis being implemented. Results: First, the experience of the health promoting activities the participants took part in was categorized into 'Early phase of experience: A mix of worries and anticipation, and success and failure', 'Mid phase of experience: Being motivated by physical changes and records', and 'Late phase of experience: Continuous execution through habituation.' Second, the meaning of health promotion activities the participants took part in was categorized into 'A great opportunity for introspection', 'A meaningful start of college life', and 'A valuable chance to consider desirable roles of a teacher for early childhood health education.' Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest that pre-service early childhood teachers should pay close attention to their health management, and that contents that emphasize the importance of teachers' health should be included in health education.

Designing a Project-based Service-Learning Course for Pre-dental Education: A Theoretical Exploration

  • This study is a theoretical exploration of project-based service-learning and its application in designing pre-dental curricula. As a response to the limitation of community service courses, service-learning has been implemented as pedagogy in higher education practices. Service-learning connects service and learning by engaging students in activities that address community needs with intentionally designed learning opportunities while adding value to and transforming both service and learning. Project-based service-learning is an extended and more active version of service-learning. Whereas service activities are arranged by instructors in the original service-learning, project-based service-learning provides students with opportunities for exploring problems and root causes on site and then devising and implementing solutions of their own using their talents and creativity. This study proposes a theoretical approach to project-based service-learning and suggests six design components, namely, related curriculum, reflection, reciprocity, service and community engagement, evaluation and recognition, and creative problem solving. Based on the components, 20 design strategies are formulated. The exploration is aimed to provide design guides for professionals attempting to implement project-based service-learning in higher education.

관광호텔의 대 고객 관계 마케팅 활동 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving the Relationship Marketing Activities of Tourist Hotels)

  • This study attempted to present the ways of improving relationship marketing activities of tourist hotels. The field survey was carried out at six deluxe hotels in Seoul to find out their relationship marketing activities and analyze the problems of the activities. The problems were analyzed as follow; 1) lack of adequate understanding of the importance of relationship marketing, 2) poor contents of customer file information, 3) insufficient service encounter management, 4) negative inducement of guests' complaints, 5) insufficient survey of guests' satisfaction, 6) insufficient relationship maintenance programs and regaining program of lost guests. This study relationship marketing activities should be improved with customer information file establishment, service encounter mangement, and communication enforcement as follow; 1. Customer Information File Establishment As relationship marketing Is marketing for individual, it needs customer file information. The guest information files should be made in detail in all the market segments. Hotels have to make use of the information strategically for establishing relationship with their guests. 2. Service Encounter Mnagement Because the guest-oriented mind and professionalism of hotel staff are prerequisite for relationship continuity, hotel should make efforts to make its staff keep the mind and cultivate expert service technique of the staff. 3. Communication Enforcement Communication enforcement consists of communication activities and communication programs which are focused on contact intensity and two-way communication.

종합병원 일반병동 간호행위의 활동기준원가분석 (Activity-Based Costing Analysis of Nursing Activities in General Hospital Wards)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between cost and revenue for inpatient nursing activities in general wards. Methods: Data were collected from 12 medical-surgical wards in one general hospital from January 1 to December 31, 2010. The nursing activities were categorized into 2 groups according to nursing service payment type in terms of the Korea health insurance system. Descriptive statistics were used to identify nursing activities and nursing activity costs. Results: Of 140 nursing activities identified as performed in general wards, payment for 69 items was included in nursing management fees. The percentage of each cost for the nursing units was 90% for labor, 4% for materials, and 6% for operating expenses. The cost for medical support nursing service accounted for 38% of costs and nursing management fees, 62%. The average profit and loss was -237,257,000 won. The cost recovery rate for nursing service was only 44%. Conclusion: The results indicate a need to measure the economic value of nursing activities performed in general wards and use it as a basis for establishing an adequate reimbursement system for nursing service.

  • Unlike physical goods, service consists of a chain of activities that allow the service to function effectively. In order to enhance customer experiences, service providers should innovate service processes. Service innovation refers to new or considerably changed service processes that deliver added value to the customers. Unfortunately, many of the activities are invisible to both service providers and consumers. In terms of service innovation, service visualization is very critical. When we visualize the current service process, we can identify its problems. This study suggests service blueprinting as a service innovation methodology. In order to demonstrate the usage of the methodology, this study examines departure/arrival services at the airport.

가정과 교육에서 서비스 러닝 활성화를 위한 주생활 영역 교과목 활동 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Housing and Interior Design Courses Work for the Promotion of Service-Learning in Home Economics Education)

  • This study develops and applies a service learning course that integrates university curriculum with the local community in housing and interior design. The results of the study are as follows. First, the service learning course of the housing and interior design was developed as a six-week lecture based on the project model with the theme of housing for the socially disadvantaged. Second, this course was implemented with faculty, students, interior designers, and service recipients to engage in activities to improve the educational environment of local child centers. Next, students engaged in the service learning course and continuously conducted reflection activities to enhance the effectiveness of learning. In reflection activities, students assessed that self-directed capabilities increased as has employing the coordination and applicability to meet identified community needs. Finally, faculty, students, and experts (including institutional experts and supervising departments) evaluated course practice and educational outcomes. Experts assessed that the course clarified course objectives, utilized various learning strategies, and showed that the structural reflection mode of learners and professors was overwhelmingly positive. The results indicated that service-learning courses enable students to integrate academic study with social work to better understand course content through direct engagements in experience learning. Furthermore, students are empowered by participation in public services that benefit service clients and consultants as students take more personal responsibility for learning.

예비수학교사 교육에서 수학적 문제제기 수업 사례 (A Case Study on Mathematical Problem Posing in Pre-service Mathematics Teacher Education)

  • 본 연구에서는 예비수학교사들의 수학적 문제제기 교육에 대한 전문성 신장을 위하여 예비수학교사 교육에 적용할 수 있는 문제제기 수업을 개발하여 적용한 후 연구에 참여한 예비수학교사들의 문제제기에 대한 인식의 변화 및 문제제기 수업 경험에 대한 의견을 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 개발한 문제제기 수업은 문제제기 이론에 대한 교육, 문제제기 활동 체험, 문제제기 수업 지도안 작성 및 수업 수행의 3단계로 구성되었다. 설문 조사, 면담, 수업 일지 분석 결과를 종합하여 보면, 본 연구를 통해 수행된 문제제기 수업은 예비수학교사들의 문제제기 활동 및 문제제기 전략에 대한 이해도와 문제제기 교육의 효과에 대한 이해도를 향상시키는데 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났고, 이와 더불어 예비교사들의 문제제기 활동에 대한 긍정적인 태도의 함양에도 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 문제제기 수업에서 이루어진 다양한 문제제기 활동에 대한 직접적인 체험과 문제제기 수업 수행 경험이 예비교사들의 문제제기에 대한 이해 및 교수학적 내용 지식의 함양에 핵심적인 역할을 한 것으로 나타났다.

부산.경남지역 보건소 간호사의 보건업무 수행활동에 관한 조사 (A Survey on Health Service Activities of Public Health Nurses in Pusan, Kyung Nam)

  • 본 연구는 1987년 1월 5일부터 2월28일까지 부산 경남지역 37개 보건소에 근무하는 보건소 간호사 249명을 대상으로 보건소 간호사의 사업 영역별 업무 수행정도를 측정하고 업무 수행에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 전체 사업에 대한 평균은 2.52이었으며, 그중 사업계획이 3.05로 가장 높았고, 기타 보건사업이 2.07로 가장 낮게 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 2 ) 근무실별 업무 수행정도를 본 결과 가족계획실은 가족계획 사업 수행이 3.94, 결핵실은 결핵관리 수행이 3.79, 진료실은 질병관리 수행이 3.42, 주사실은 사업계획 수행 계획이 3.76, 모성 영유아실은 산전관리가 3.46, 모자보건센타는 산후관리가 3.63으로 각각 가장 높은 수행 정도를 나타내었다. 3) 보건소 간호사의 업무 수행에 영향을 미치는 일반적 특성 중 연령, 학력, 종교, 근무 부서실, 직무에서 유의한 차를 나타내었다(P<.05).

병원의 질 보장 수준과 사회복지사의 질 보장에 대한 태도, 의료사회사업서비스 질과의 상관관계 연구 (Correlation of Quality Assurance System of Hospitals, Social Worker's Attitudes toward Quality Assurance Activities, and Quality on Social Services)

  • Background : There have been many studies and efforts about quality management in health services, but there were not founded quality assessment on social services. This study was designed for understood level of quality on social service, identified for correlation factors of quality assessment on social services in general and teaching hospitals in Korea. Methods : The subjects of this survey were 80 leaders of social service units. The survey data from each subjects were measured to evaluate level of quality that service provider perceived of sample hospitals. Social worker's attitude of quality assurance activities, perception of quality assurance system in that hospitals were measured. Under the method of one-way ANOVA, t-test and correlation, associated factors of quality assessment in social work service was analyzed. Results : The major findings were as following ; First, the level of quality perceived showed less score, especially the lowest was the score of quality of outcome. Second, social worker's attitude of quality assurance activities showed high score, but quality assurance system of hospitals showed less score. Third, the level of quality assurance system of hospitals, social worker's attitudes of quality assurance activities. Conclusion : The quality of social work service correlated positive hospitals's quality assurance system, social worker's attitudes of quality assurance activities. Therefore, to assure the proper level of quality, qualified for hospitals system of quality assurance, and needed to a educational program for enhanced social workers's attitudes in quality assurance activities.
