The phenomena of energy separation in vortex tubes was investigated experimentally to see the subsidiary effect of the conductivity of tube material and cooling conditions around the outer surface of the tube. The experiment was carried out with pyrex, stainless steel and copper tubes, and the heat transfer conditions of the tubes were with insulation, without in-sulation and water cooling modes respectively The results were obtained that the hot exit fluid temperature was highly affected by a change of conductivity of a tube when the outer surface was cooled by the water, while the working fluid through the tubes was air. How-ever, the cold exit temperature was little affected by the heat transfer modes on the outer surface of the vortex tube.

In this research, a mono-to-stereo upmixing algorithm based on music source separation is proposed. For the upmixing, a harmonic and percussive separation for jazz music is implemented. Then, the sources are re-panned by equalizing the loudness of left and right sides of listeners in the one proposed approach. In the other approach, the harmonic sources are spread by a decorrelator while the percussive sources are panned to the center. In the experiments, the re-panning algorithm showed advanced performance in terms of localization and timbral quality.

다수의 음원이 특정한 공간에 산재하고 있을 때, 그 중 특정 음원에 주목하면 다른 음원과 분리되어 특정 음원만 들리는 현상을 칵테일파티 현상이라고 한다. 심리적인 이 현상에 영감을 받아 음원을 분리하는 알고리즘이 만들어졌다. 이런 음원 분리방법을 Blind Source Separation(BSS) 이라고 하는데, 여러 신호가 섞이는 과정을 모르는 상태에서 음원을 분리한다는 뜻에서 Blind Source Separation 이라고 한다. BSS에 사용되는 알고리즘으로 주로 PCA, ICA이 있다. PCA는 2차원의 경우를, ICA는 그 이상의 고차원의 통계적 특성을 이용한다. 이에 본 논문은 PCA를 이용하여 두 음원을 분리하는 알고리즘을 구현하는데 역점을 두었다. PCA는 주로 음원보다는 이미지 신호 처리에 초점이 맞추어져 있지만, 음원 분리에 있어서도 충분한 성능을 보여주므로, ICA를 이용한 음원 분리 알고리즘과의 비교를 통하여 장, 단점을 알아보고 추후 PCA의 응용 가능성을 알아보았다.

The spectrophotometric determination method of scandium with eriochrome cyanine R (ECR) and the composition ratio of the complex were investigated in the presence of surfactants. A volume of 5 mL of 1.0×$10^{-3}$ M ECR and 10 mL of 2.0×$10^{-4}$ M CTMAB are necessary for the determination of 1.0×$10 ^{-7}$ ~ 3.0×$10^{-6}$ M Sc(III) at pH 6.5. The apparent molar absorption coefficient of the Sc(III)-ECR-CTMAB, ternary complex at 610 nm is 5.6×$10^5$ $mol^{-1}cm{-1}$L and its detection limit is 1.0×$10^{-7}$ M. Separation studies were conducted by the column method. The effect of pH, elution solution and the influence of rare earth elements as interferents was discussed. Their separation was carried out in 0.1 M HCl-50% methanol solution and 1.0 M HCl media. The method was applied for the determination of Sc(III) in monazite.

The media transport systems, such as printers, copiers, facsimile, ATMs, cameras, etc., have been widely used and being developed rapidly. In the development of those systems, the media feeding mechanism is an important key technology for the design and development of the media transport systems. In this paper, a multi-degree of freedom sheet model with dynamic contact conditions is presented to understand the mechanism of sticking and jamming. A sheet is modelled as a cantilever beam and the feeding velocity is assumed to be constant. The relation between the feeding velocity and the coefficient of friction for guaranteeing stable feeding is presented. Simulations are performed for a horizontal linear guide and a oblique linear guide, calculating the contact force and contact states of mass points.

현재 존재하는 다양한 filtration 테크놀러지는 feed stream으로부터 제거되는 파티클의 사이즈에 근거하여 그 범주를 정할 수 있다. 부유 고체물의 재래식 macrofiltration 은 feed solution이 수직 방향으로 filter media을 통하여 흐르게끔 하는 것이다. 전체 용액은 메디아를 통하여 지나가는데 단지 한개의 stream만 만든다. 그런 여과 장채의 보기를 들면, cartridge, filter, bag filter, sand filter, multimedia filter들이 있다. Macrofiltration separation은 1 미크론 이상가는 비용해성 파티클에 국한된다.

Recently, important information related with smart work such as office and video conference are handled in smart device quite a lot compare with before. Also, execution environment of smart devices is getting developed as open software environment. It brought convenience to download and use any kind of application software. By that, security side of smart devices became vulnerable. This paper will discuss characteristics of smart device security technology based on virtualization that is a mobile device platform with isolated secure execution area based on TEE (Trusted Execution Environment). Also, this paper will suggest an implementation method about safe smart device security platform based on domain separation for application software which can be executed in smart devices.

This paper intends to explore the social and cultural implications of convergence media, based on Goffman's situational approach. The situational segregation of regions makes us to re-interpret the current private and public spheres and helps us to reveal the principle and structure hidden in the new middle region. An environment of convergence media is nullifying the separation of private and public spheres, while letting a new middle region appear.
