공공극장 기획공연의 프로그래밍 사례 연구 -예술의전당 오페라하우스 공연 기획의 성과와 과제- (A Case Study on the Programming of Public Theaters in Korea -Analysis of the Achievements and the Challenges of the Opera House of the Seoul Arts Center for the years from 1993 to 2011-)

  • The Seoul Arts Center is an representing Korean arts-complex consisting of the Opera House, the Concert Hall and the Museums. Since its opening in 1993, it has been established as a mecca of arts and the culture in Korea. Many local public theatres in Korea are benchmarking its operating system and policy. Unlike most European or American theatres, the Seoul Arts Center has no resident art companies. It is not a 'producing theatre' whose programming is mainly based on house productions with resident companies, but a 'presenting theatre' that is to be managed with rental and invitation programs without resident companies. The majority of the Korean public theatres are also presenting theatres. This study aims to research and analyze how the Seoul Arts Center has developed the programming of the Opera House for last 19 years and which challenges and issues it has been dealing with, and finally to propose what will be recommendable remedies for its successful future. The analysis is divided into four development stages: preparation period from 1981 to 1992, establishment period from 1993 to 1999, growth period from 2000 to 2006, and lastly crisis period from 2007 to 2011. Facing the 20th anniversary next year(2013), the Opera House of the Seoul Arts Center is going through recent critical situations: higher competitions among increased theatres, trends of commercial musical productions, and rapid declines in its house programs due to the low budget and unclear programming policy. I propose as a discussion to start a repositioning strategy as a Korea's representing arts-complex, utilizing all sources from inside and outside and having the policy direction.

  • The quadratic and cubic force constants of hydrogen molecule are calculated by use of the one center function of Bishop. The master formula on which the computation is based was suggested by the previous work of one of the present authors. The results are in good agreement with the experimental values.

  • The quadratic force constants of heteronuclear diatomic molecules, LiH, BeH, BH, CH, NH and OH are evaluated by use of the one center function of Bishop et. al. The master formula on which the computation is based was suggested by the previous work of one of the present authors. The results are in good agreement with the experimental values. It is found that around the nucleus of the atom located in the close vicinity of the expansion center of the one center function, the electronic distribution is relatively unrealistic, and the suggested formula would lead an erroneous result when one takes the origin of variables of $P_2(cos{\theta})/r_3$ at the atomic nucleus.

  • LiH, BeH, BH, CH, NH 및 OH 등의 heteronuclear diatomic molecules의 quadratic force constants를 Bishop등의 일점전개함수에 의하여 계산하였다. 계산의 master formula는 본 저자들 중의 한 사람에 의하여 이미 제안된 바 있다. 계산 결과는 실험치와 잘 일치하였다. 일점전개함수의 전개중심에 가까이 위치하고 있는 원자핵의 주위에서의 전자분포는 실제에서 비교적 벗어나며, $P_2(cos{\theta})/r^3$의 전개 중심을 이 원자핵에 잡으면 제안된 식으로부터 그릇된 결과가 얻어지는 것을 발견하였다

  • This study analyzed the main bodies, sizes of litters, spaces between letters, Words, lines, length of lines, sizes of main body and margin, Position of the main bodies of PDF(Portable Document Format) in high schools and "the criteria of reading system for the textbooks" which was suggested by the Department of Education and Provided some suggestions for the improvement. First, it is judged that spaces of the main body of textbooks should be shrunken to make the ratio of 50:50 between the main body and space margin. Second, it is judged that the main body should be placed in the center of text page. Third, the results of the above findings showed that it would be difficult to deal with the task of deciding space and position or the main body and marginal space in a form of single project, because there are many variables involved and psychologically complicated elements which can not be measured objectively.

Simulation of a Polarimeter for a Spin-Polarized Positron Beam

  • A performance of a new positron polarimeter is investigated by simulation using a charged-particle trajectory program. The results of the ray tracing are presented along with the details of the design parameters and projected system performance. A ray tracing analysis indicates that this design is capable of effectively transmitting positrons at beam energies varying from 0.1 to 30 keV within the beam diameter of 2-6mm. However, the observed reflection of the positrons(lower than 2 keV) at 12 kGauss indicated that further refinement of beam design is needed to produce a better positron polarimeter.

공연예술서비스가 고객만족과 재구매 활성화 의도에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Study of the Influence of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Repurchase Intention Activation in the Performing Arts)

  • Purpose - This study was conducted to evaluate service quality, perceived value, and satisfaction in the performing arts in order to establish a system of relationships that predicts repurchase intention, which increasingly needs to be studied as the domestic performing arts market grows. Research design, data, and methodology - Another purpose of this study is to identify 'work-related factors' and 'performing-arts-related factors' in the performing arts industry, and to observe the influence of the core SQ factors expected to influence audiences' purchase intentions through perceived value and customer satisfaction. The empirical study to test the hypothesis was based on a review of the literature and employed the survey method; data were collected from a total of 500 audience members. Results - The major results of the analysis are as follows. First, in terms of quality factors affecting perceived value, literary quality, level, professionalism, and musical quality were shown to have a significant influence as key factors from the performing arts perspective, while reliability, convenience, and related costs were indicated to exert a significant influence as additional factors related to work. Secondly, the quality factors with a significant influence on customer satisfaction were literary quality, professionalism, and musical quality, which were shown to have a significant influence from the performing arts perspective, while only reliability was indicated to exert a significant influence on work-related factors. Third, perceived value was shown to have a strong positive (+) influence on customer satisfaction, with both perceived value and customer satisfaction exerting a significant influence on the revisit intention. Finally, according to the results a difference analysis with demographic variables, viewing variables as moderating variables, differences according to gender were indicated in the influence of literary value and lel on perceived value, and in the influence of convenience and professionalism on customer satisfaction as well. Also, in terms of the influence of perceived value on customer satisfaction, males were found to be more influenced than females. Conclusions - Based on the above results, the suggested implications of the present study are as follows. First, through the consideration of not only the crucial work perspective in performing arts services, which has been inadequate in the past, but the additional performance-related level, the previously unevenly distributed viewpoints were expanded for application. Second, in verifying the relationship between expanded quality factors and the factors that determine consumer behavior while simultaneously considering key factors and additional related factors, work-related service quality factors were shown to exert a stronger influence on perceived value and customer satisfaction than performance-related factors. Third, for service factors related to performance, the reliability factor exerts an influence on perceived value and customer satisfaction, requiring that a performance planner secure and manage diverse channels to immediately support customer requests in providing performance theater services.
