이질적인 정보 저장소를 통합하여 질의하고 검색하는 시스템들에 대한 연구가 최근 들어 XML을 기반으로 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML 에 기반한 DB 통합 미들웨어로서 DataBlender 시스템을 소개하고 이 시스템의 한 블록으로서 무선 환경을 지원하기 위해 개발된 DataBlender.s 의 설계 및 구현에 관해 기술한다. DataBlender.s 는 동기화의 표준 언어인 SyncML 1.0을 기반으로 개발되었으며 본 논문에서는 DataBlender.s 의 모듈 구조, 타 모듈과의 연동, 동기화 처리 과정, 동기화 정보 관리 등을 기술한다.

This study carried out field observations of measuring thermal environment, especially evaluating amount of water evaporation at roof Pond by field observations during the summer. Thermal environment measuring was categorized as air temperature, water temperature of roof pond, surface temperature, globe temperature, short and long wave radiation, net radiation, and amount of water evaporation by water level measurement. Results from this study could be used as fundamental for reducing heat Island phenomena.

The Virgo cluster, the nearest galaxy cluster, is dynamically young, hosting numerous globular clusters in galaxies as well as intracluster globular clusters (IGCs). We obtained spectra of globular cluster candidates in the core region of the Virgo cluster using Hectospec at MMT to study the kinematics of the globular clusters. The targets are located at a large range (50 kpc < d < 500 kpc) from M87, the most massive galaxy in Virgo. We distinguish the genuine globular cluster population in the targets by inspecting their spectral features and radial velocities. As a result, a significant number of IGCs are found. We present preliminary results of the kinematics of globular clusters in the Virgo core region.

In this paper, we propose a human model for analysis for human work pattern or human fault, where a gantry crane simulator is used to survey the property of human operation. From the input and output of gantry crane response, we make a human operation model by using conventional ARX identification method. For identify the human model, we assume the eight inputs and two outputs. By using the input/output data, we estimate the parameters of ARX of the human system model. For verify the proposed method, we compared the real data with the modeled data, where three kinds of work trajectory path are used.

Although the Herba Cirsii is known to posses beneficial health effects, the anti-diabetic effects and the mechanism of action have not been elucidated. In the present study we have shown that Herba Cirsii Extract (HCE) can stimulate glucose uptake in OP9 adipocytes. Unlike insulin, HCE did not stimulate the Ser473 phosphorylation and activation of Akt. The increasing effects of HCE on glucose uptake were inhibited by PD680509 and compound C pretreatment, which means that the glucose uptake effects by HCE were carried out by extracelluar signal-regulated kinase1/2(ERK1/2) and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation. Further studies revealed that HCE stimulated glucose transport occurs through a mechanism involving ERK1/2 activation and AMPK activation.

For integrity evaluation of cracked or damaged structures, fracture toughness test results in ASTM are widely used. The fracture toughness values of the structures are used as an effective design criterion in nuclear plants and aircraft structures. Sometimes the difference of P-$\delta$ curve trend during the unloading /reloading cycle in the fracture toughness test using partial unloading compliance was observed. The phenomenon as a possible source of error in determining fracture toughness may be caused by the residual stress during unloading work-hardening and bucking of a specimen. Therefore, we evaluate the effect of bucking and compressive residual stress during the K-R and J-R testing using a finite element method.
