울산 지역 주요 호소(사연호, 대암호, 선암저수지, 회야호)의 수질 및 저서성대형무척추동물 군집구조 분석 (Community Structure of Benthic Macroinvertebrates and Water Quality in the Major Lakes (Lake Sayeon, Lake Daeam, Seonam Reservoir, Lake Hoeya) of Ulsansi)

  • 2010년 2월부터 2010년 10월까지 울산 지역에 위치한 선암저수지, 대암호, 사연호, 회야호 4개 호소에 대하여 각 호소 내의 수질 및 저서성대형무척추동물상 조사를 수행하였다. BOD는 평균 $14.2\;mg\;L^{-1}$로, 4개 호소 중 선암저수지에서 연간 편차가 가장 컸으며, 회야호를 제외한 모든 호소에서 2월에 최대값, 5월에 최소값을 나타냈고, 회야호는 7월에 최소값을 나타냈다. 영양염 항목은 평균 TN $0.051mg\;L^{-1}$, TP $0.100mg\;L^{-1}$, $NH_3-N\;0.606mg\;L^{-1}$, $NO_3-N\;0.014mg\;L^{-1}$로, TN 항목은 4개 호소에서 6월에 최대값을 나타냈고, TP는 3월에 최대, 5월에 최소값을 나타냈다. 저서성대형무척추동물은 4월과 10월에 조사를 수행하였으며, 평균 TN 및 $NO_3-N$ 농도가 $0.082mg\;L^{-1}$, $0.023mg\;L^{-1}$로 가장 높았던 선암저수지에서 총 36종 평균 208 inds. $m^{-2}$로 가장 많은 종이 출현하였고, 대암호 21종 59 inds. $m^{-2}$, 회야호 17종 125 inds. $m^{-2}$, 사연호 16종 58 inds. $m^{-2}$가 출현하였다. 영양염 항목과 저서성대형 무척추동물 종수의 상관관계 분석 결과, 울산 지역 내 4개 호소에 서식하는 저서성대형무척추동물 종수는 해당 호소의 연평균 TN 농도와의 상관계수 0.962 (P<0.05), $NO_3-N$ 농도와의 상관계수 0.999 (P<0.05)로, 종수는 TN과 $NO_3-N$에 대해서 양의 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 조사되었다.

2-Dimensional Model Development for Water Quality Prediction

  • A numerical method for the mathematical water modeling in 2-dimensional flow has been developed. The model based on a split operator technique, in which, the advection term is calculated using the upwind scheme. The diffusion term is one- dimensionalized and calculated using Crank-Nicholson's implicit finite difference scheme to reduce the numerical errors from large time steps and variable spacings. It also provides a relatively simple and economic method for more accurate simulation of pollutant dispersion. Water depths and flow velocities in the Boreyong reservoir during the normal water periods were predicted by numerical experiments with a 2-dimensional flow model so as to provide current field data for the study of advection and diffusion of pollutants. Developed 2-dimensional water quality model is applied to Boreyong reservoir to simulate a spatial and periodical changes of water quality.

총량규제에 따른 주암호의 장래 수질 예측 (Water Quality Simulation of Juam Reservoir Depend on Total Pollution Loads Control)

  • When the Juam multipurpose dam which is connected with existing large water supply facilities is finished, water environment is changed from stream to lake. The changed quality of water should be examined. In this study, the result of water quality forecasting is analysed and an effective management plan of water quality is presented. Tn this study, the WASPS model that is a dynamic water quality simulation model was selected to forecast the water quality. This model forecasts movement of change of pollutants. For an application of the model, the subject areas were divided into seventeen sub-areas by considering change temperature depending measuring points and on depth of water. Meteorological data collected by the meteorological observatory and data about quality measured by the Korea Water Resources Development Corporation were used for an operation of the model. As a result of quality examination through quality data and estimated pollutant loading, the water quality environment criterion was grade II and the nutritive condition was measured as meso-graphic grade. In this study, an effective management was planned to improve water quality by reducing pollution load. According to the result of examination, when more than 30% of BOD was reduced it was recorded that the environment standard of water quality was improved to the second grade.

군산시 공원주변의 동물상과 개발에 따른 생물학적인 영향 및 대책 (Fauna of Some Parks Around Kunsan-City and Biological Impact on the Developments of These Parks)

  • This study was carried out to survey the fauna of some parks around Kunsan-city and to establish biological impact on the development of those parks. Among the fauna surveyed, insects consist of 74 species in 49 families and 13 orders. The insect fauna was poor, because the environment was made of simple flora and mostly farmland. Fish in the reservoir of Wolmyong-Park consist of 7 species. Among them, Ctenopharyngodon idellus is an exotic species and characterized with its voracious plantfeeding. This fish severely destroyed the habitats and spawning sites of other sympatric fish. For the conservation of non-exotic fish, birds, and mammals in the area, the integrated biological direction would be needed.

  • 우리나라는 상수도시설의 노후화와 그 동안의 상수원 수질변화에 대응한 정수처리공정의 개량과 개선이 요구되어지고 있는 상황에 있어서, 기존의 정수처리공정에 어떠한 시설개량이나 설비의 보완 없이 DAF 공정을 추가하여 점토와 조류입자를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 DAF hybrid 공정의 적용성을 살펴보고자 일련의 실험을 실시하였다. DAF 공정의 설치위치는 조류입자의 제거에는 응집지나 침전지 전단을 이용하는 DAF-CGS 공정조합보다는 침전지 후단 또는 여과지 전단을 이용하는 DAF-CSF 방식이 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한, DAF-CSF hybrid 공정을 도입함으로써 기존의 상수처리조건과 동일한 처리속도(수리학적 부하량)에서 처리효율이 향상될 것이며, 높은 수리학적 부하에서도 재래식 상수도시설에 적용하여 안정된 처리효율을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.
