Gesture Recognition Method using Tree Classification and Multiclass SVM (다중 클래스 SVM과 트리 분류를 이용한 제스처 인식 방법)

  • Gesture recognition has been widely one of the research areas for natural user interface. This paper presents a novel gesture recognition method using tree classification and multiclass SVM(Support Vector Machine). In the learning step, 3D trajectory of human gesture obtained by a Kinect sensor is classified into the tree nodes according to their distributions. The gestures are resampled and we obtain the histogram of the chain code from the normalized data. Then multiclass SVM is applied to the classified gestures in the node. The input gesture classified using the constructed tree is recognized with multiclass SVM.

  • Most of campus vehicle management systems, so far, have simple functions such as managing vehicle in/out or issuing parking tickets. Recently some of them use RFID tags to count total numbers of cars in the campus, excluding exact parking position management. In this paper we propose a new campus vehicle management system using wireless sensor network location management scheme. This system adopts RSSI based location management method with some performance improvement technique. According to the experimental result, this proposed scheme can be used to implement an effective campus vehicle management system.

  • This paper presents a bridge road surface frost prediction and monitoring system. The node sensing hardware comprises microprocessor, temperature sensors, humidity sensors and Zigbee wireless communication. A software interface is implemented the control center to monitor and acquire the temperature and humidity data of bridge road surface. A bridge road surface frost occurs when the bridge deck temperature drops below the dew point and the freezing point. Measurement data was used for prediction of road surface frost occurrences. The actual alert is performed at least 30 minutes in advance the road surface frost. The road surface frost occurrences data are sent to nearby drivers for traffic accidents prevention purposes.

Determination of Variable Rate Fertilizing Amount in Small Size Fields Using Geographic Information System

  • The feasibility of precision farming for small sized fields was studied by determining fertilizing amount of nitrogenous and calcareous to a cite specific region. A detailed soil survey at three experimental fields of 672㎡, 300㎡ and 140㎡ revealed a considerable spatial variation of the pH and organic matter(OM) levels. Soil organic matter was measured using Walkley-Black method and soil pH was measured with a pH sensor. Soil sample was obtained by Grid Node Sampling Method. The soil sampling depth was 10 - 20 cm from the soil surface. To display soil nutrient variation, a soil map was made using Geographic Information System (GIS) software. In soil mapping, soil data between nodes was interpolated using Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) method. The variation was about 1 - 1.8 in pH value and 1.4 -7 % in OM content. Fertilizing Amount of nitrogenous and calcareous was determined by the fertilizing equation which was proposed by National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology.(NIAST). The variation of fertilizing amount was about 3 - 11 kg/10a in nitrogenous and 70 - 140 kg/10a in calcareous. The results showed a feasibility of precision fertilizing for small size fields.

  • USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network)의 인프라 기술은 여러 센서를 이용하여 사용자의 요구사항을 처리 및 동작하는 지능화된 상호운용성 네트워크로서, 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 다양한 서비스를 창출하고 실생활에 적용할 수 있는 기술로 정착하고 있다. 설치의 간편성, 저전력, 저가격, 확장성, 내장성의 특정을 가지고 있는 USN은 많은 센서들의 이질적인 데이터와 사용자를 위한 다양한 멀티미디어 정보 그리고, 장치간의 상호운용을 위한 제어 정보 등이 포함되며, 산업분야에서는 RFID의 기술과 함께 기존 기업의 ERP, CRM, SCM 등 애플리케이션과의 호환성 확보를 통해 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, USN 을 비즈니스 서비스 모델에 적용하여 SCM 상에서의 프로세스 모델링 연구를 하였다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 SCM 에 적용하는 u-SCM을 공급단계에서 시작하여 소비자관리 및 분석의 프로세스로 모델링 및 구축하였다. 부품공급/조달물류관리, 생산관리, 재고/유통/발주관리, 소비자 관리 및 분석 프로세스를, 소규모 센서의 서비스 환경 탑재 및 감지, 위치 측정 등의 감지 센서들을 이용한 센서 노드(node)의 정보 습득, 무선 센서 네트워크 통신을 이용한 추출된 감지 정보 통신, USN 서버의 관리 및 정보의 저장과 분석 등으로 USN 기술을 이용한 u-SCM 의 관리 운영의 프로세스 모델로 제안하였다.

  • Intrusion detection systems (IDS) are supposed to be an efficient safety measure against inside attacks. In purely distributed IDS approach, IDS agent is installed in every node. It checks abnormal behavior of neighboring nodes locally. It collects the data that it receives from nodes in its radio range. Sensor nodes audit that data and generate alerts for abnormal activity. Here, there are two ways of taking decision. First, it can take decision individually and second, it can communicate with its neighbor to find the status of the claimed compromised nodes. In this paper, we propose a collaborative decision making scheme for purely distributed detection system. The proposed scheme is light weight compared to consensus based validation methodology. It provides a better scheme to find intrusions by interacting with other nodes.

  • AODV algorithm is one of the widely used algorithm for wireless ad-hoc environment In AODV, the destination node selects the route with smallest hop count. Since AODV only consider hop count, the selected route could have low capacity link, and degrade QoS. In this paper, we propose a modified AODV algorithm that consider successful transmission rate of each link. Advantage of proposed algorithm is that AODV can support QoS without significant change of the algorithm using modified hop count.

  • This study speak abut demerit of LEACH, EACHS, and HEED. There are demerits that LEACH, EACHS shall be rest energy of all nodes and HEED can't guarantee the number of cluster head. Proposed energy efficiency of selected cluster head guarantees the number of cluster head which is a demerit of HEED and minimizes the node of DEAD. Energy efficiency of simulation is compared by MA TLAB.

  • One of the weaknesses of ad hoc network is that a route used between a source and a destination is to break during communication. To solve this problem, one approach consists of selecting routes whose nodes have the most stable link cost. In this paper proposes a new method for improving the low power distributed MAC. The method is rule-based on the context awareness of the each nodes energy in clustering. The proposed networks scheme could get better improve the awareness for data to achieve and performance on their clustering establishment and messages transmission.
