The general flatbed printer system is composed of a PC and a dedicated S/W, which is inconvenient to use. In the end, there is a need for a technology that can easily and conveniently use various types of printing through simplification, smartization, etc. of a flatbed printer system configuration. That is, there is an increasing demand for multi-dimensional printer capable of printing on various types of materials with one printer and capable of printing various types of products. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a flatbed printer system capable of multi-dimensional printing using Head Encoder/Trigger control. To this end, we developed a flatbed printer that connects the internal module of the flatbed printer with an input type detection sensor and controls all operating states by the head encoder and head trigger signals of the printer through separate main controllers. Through this, the development and diffusion of IoT technology will expand the printer control of the smart environment to the developed form throughout the industry. It is expected to contribute to the development of the 3D printing industry in the future.
As the techniques of electronic and information are advancing, the computing power of a smart phone is becoming more powerful and the storage capacity of a smart phone is becoming larger. As the result, various new useful services are becoming available on smart phones. The context-aware service and mobile augmented reality have recently been the most popular research topics. For those newly developed services, identifying the object in the picture taken by the camera on the phone performs an extremely important role. So, many researches of identifying pictures have been published and most of them are based on the time consuming image recognition techniques. On the contrary, this paper introduces a very fast and effective method of identifying the objects on the photo making use of the sensor data obtained from the smart phone and electronic maps. Our method estimates the line of sight of the camera with the location and orientation information provided by the smart phone. Then it finds any element of the map which intersects the line of sight. By investigating those intersecting elements, our method identifies the objects on the photo.

Healthcare services can be provided through a number of independent service platforms for measurement of vital signs, diagnosis and prevention of diseases, and Information and communication technology(ICT) such as internet and mobile are converged to provide health information to users at anytime and anywhere, and it is in the center of the IoT(Internet of things). Accordingly, in this paper, we designed IoT based urination management system and evaluate the performance. A low - power Zigbee network was constructed for the configuration of the urination management system. The implemented capacitive diaper sensor was operable for the duration of 2,000 hours. We also built a database server using Raspberry Pi, a tiny embedded device, and stored the collected data to verify the data through an Android-based mobile application. The proposed urination management system can be utilized not only for the older patients, but also for the infants.

This paper describes the hydrodynamic characteristics of a test-bed AUV SNUUV-I constructed at Seoul National University. The main purpose of the AUV is to carry out fundamental control and hydrodynamic experiments. Its configuration is basically a long cylinder of 1.35m in length and 0.25m in diameter with delta-type wings near its rear end. On the edge of each wing, a thruster of 1/4HP is mounted, which is used for both drive and turn the vehicle for horizontal movement as the output control power is varied. A pair of control surfaces installed near its font part generates pitch moments for vertical movement. The 6 DOF mathematical model of SNUUV-I contains hydrodynamic forces and moments expressed in terms of a set of hydrodynamic coefficients. These coefficients can be classified into linear damping coefficients, linear inertial coefficients and nonlinear damping coefficients. It is important to estimate the exact value of these coefficients to control the vehicle precisely. Among these, the linear coefficients are known to affect the motion of the vehicle dominantly. The linear damping coefficients are estimated by using Extended Kalman Filter. The responses of the vehicle to input signals are used to estimate the hydrodynamic coefficients, which can be inferred from output signals measured from an IMU (inertial motion unit) sensor, while the linear inertial coefficients are calculated by a potential code. By using these coefficients estimated as described above, a simulation program is constructed using Matlab.

It is important to use bench test results in the design process of anti-rolling tanks. Traditional bench tester is usually designed to perform only roll motions about a fixed axis and relatively small so that the viscous effects may not be neglected. Novel bench tester which could adjust the motion center to realize the coupled motion of sway and roll has been devised and manufactured therefore, large scaled bench tester could be utilized for designing the passive anti-rolling tanks. The time history of the reference signal from the rotation sensor of the bench tester have been recorded and processed to determine the phase angle to derive the Response Amplitude Operator(RAO) of the stabilized ship. The breadth of ART tank model should be large up to 2 m to diminish viscous scale effect and the vertical position of the tank can be varied with the ship's center of motion. The periods and the amplitude of roll motion can be varied from 1.5 sec to 5 sec and up to ±20°, respectively. The components of the tester was expressed in three dimensional digital mockup (DMU) and assembled together in the CAD space. The final configuration of the bench tester has been determined by confirming the smooth operation of the moving parts without interference through the animation in CAD space. New analytic logic are introduced for the determination of hydrodynamic moment and phase difference due to fluid motion in ART and verified through the test. The developed bench tester is believed to be effective and accurate for the verification of stabilization effect of ART taking into the consideration of the sway effect in the design stage.

Wafer bonding methods such as fusion and anodic bonding suffer from high temperature treatment, long processing time, and possible damage to the micro-scale sensor or actuators. In the localized bonding process, beating was conducted locally while the whole wafer is maintained at a relatively low temperature. But previous research of localized heating has some problems, such as non-uniform soldering due to non-uniform heating and micro crack formation on the glass capsule by thermal stress effect. To address this non-uniformity problem, a new heater configuration is being proposed. By keeping several points on the heater strip at calculated and constant potential, more uniform heating, hence more reliable wafer bonding could be achieved. The proposed scheme has been successfully demonstrated, and the result shows that it will be very useful in hermetic packaging. Less than 0.2 ㎫ contact Pressure were used for bonding with 150 ㎃ current input for 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ width, 2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ height and 8mm $\times$ 8mm, 5mm$\times$5mm, 3mm $\times$ 3mm sized phosphorus-doped poly-silicon micro heater. The temperature can be raised at the bonding region to 80$0^{\circ}C$, and it was enough to achieve a strong and reliable bonding in 3minutes. The IR camera test results show improved uniformity in heat distribution compared with conventional micro heaters. For gross leak check, IPA (Isopropanol Alcohol) was used. Since IPA has better wetability than water, it can easily penetrate small openings, and is more suitable for gross leak check. The pass ratio of bonded dies was 70%, for conventional localized heating, and 85% for newly developed FP scheme. The bonding strength was more than 30㎫ for FP scheme packaging, which shows that FP scheme can be a good candidate for micro scale hermetic packaging.

This paper studies the effects of the swirl for the variation of intake port configuration that is key parameters in the flow field of direct injection diesel engines. In-cylinder flow characteristics is known to have significant effects on air-fuel mixing, combustion, and emissions. To investigate the effects of the swirl flow, various rpm(250, 500, 750) and two different intake port were used. And to evaluate the swirl motion in the flow field visualization engine, steady state flow test was conducted. Helical port intake port and SCV(Swirl Control Valve) were selected as the design parameters to increase the swirl flow and parametric study was performed. In the case of non-SCV, intake flow rate and non-dimensional swirl ratio were higher than those of SCV for the swirl head type. So, we could strengthen the swirl in the flow field with the swirl head type and don't using SCV. From the results of steady state flow test, non-swirl head type has the most good advantage for intake flow rate, and also the flow rate could be increased by using the SCV slightly. The effects of the type of engine head on intake air flow capability are dominant with respect to the existence of the SCV. We could measure the qualitative grade of swirl by capturing the scattering signal of microballoon from ICCD camera in the visualization diesel engine.

In this paper, we implemented a real-time system which displays 3-dimensional (3D) stereoscopic image with stereo camera. The system consists of a set of stereo camera, FPGA board, and 3D stereoscopic LCD. Two CMOS image sensor were used for the stereo camera. FPGA which processes video data was designed with Verilog-HDL, and it can accommodate various resolutional videos. The stereoscopic image is configured by two methods which are side-by-side and up-down image configuration. After the left and right images are converted to the type for the stereoscopic display, they are stored into SDRAM. When the next frame is inputted into FPGA from two CMOS image sensors, the previous video data is output to the DA converter for displaying it. From this pipeline operation, the real-time operation is possible. After the proposed system was implemented into hardware, we verified that it operated exactly.

Ground station in lunar mission is responsible to receive telemetry signal including sensor data from lunar orbiter and/or lander. At preliminary stage of developing this ground station, receiving performance such as antenna size and noise temperature should be designed on the basis of link budget analysis. When the antenna of ground station is pointing to the moon to communicate with lunar orbiter and/or lander, noise level is supposed to be increasing due to the lunar flux density. It means that the moon is working as a noise source to degrade receiving performance when antenna is pointing to the moon. Antenna noise temperature contributed by the moon was firstly calculated and secondary validated by using test configuration in this paper. Consequently, it was shown that antenna noise temperature caused by the moon was quietly matched with measured one and G/T degradation of receiving system in lunar mission can be calculated depending on antenna size and frequency.
As sustainable design technologies, advanced daylighting systems with lightshelves have been developed and are currently under monitoring the daylighting performance. This study aims to evaluate the comparative daylighting performance of sloped lightshelf and conventional glazing window with mock-up model, reconstructed as a prototype of Korean office building, sized $12.0m{\times}7.3m{\times}3.7m$ ($w{\times}d{\times}h$) and $1.8m{\times}4.8m$($w{\times}h$) for the south facing side-window was installed on the rooftop of engineering building, Kyung Hee University in Korea. It has an identical configuration of reference room and the test room. For the test room, the sloped type lightshelf system was designed as 10mm transparency sheet glass, tilt angle degree $29^{\circ}$, and total sized 1.28m (interior length 0.88m, exterior length 0.49m). It consisted of daylighting collector, entrance glazing and reflector. To assess daylighting performance, the totally 37 measuring points for illuminance and 2 view points of luminance were monitored in every 30 minutes from 12:00 to 15:00. For the detailed analysis, photometric sensors of each room were installed at work-plane (8 points), wall (7 points), ceiling (3points), and exterior horizontal illuminance (1 point). Luminance of window, rare of the room was measured under clear sky. It is to be monitored by Agilent data logger, photometric sensor Li-cor and the Radiant Imaging ProMetric 1400. Comparisons with a light factor, increase-decrease ratio, uniformity, and luminance are discussed.
