난독화와 변화량 분석을 통한 IoT 센싱 데이터의 경량 유효성 검증 기법 (Lightweight Validation Mechanism for IoT Sensing Data Based on Obfuscation and Variance Analysis)

  • 최근 가정, 교통, 의료, 전력망 등 우리 생활과 밀접한 연관을 가진 여러 분야에서 IoT(Internet of Things) 센서 장치를 활용해 데이터를 수집하는 센서 네트워크를 구축하고 활용하고 있다. 이러한 센서 네트워크에서 센싱 데이터 조작은 재산 상, 안전 상의 심각한 위협이 될 수 있다. 따라서 외부 공격자가 센싱 데이터를 조작하지 못하도록 하는 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 외부 공격자에 의해 조작된 센싱 데이터를 효과적으로 제거하기 위해 데이터 난독화와 변화량 분석을 활용한 IoT 센싱 데이터 유효성 검증 기법을 제안한다. IoT 센서 장치는 난독화 함수에 따라 센싱 데이터를 변조하여 사용자에게 전송하고, 사용자는 전송받은 값을 원래의 값으로 되돌려 사용한다. 적절한 난독화를 거치지 않은 거짓 데이터는 유효 데이터와 다른 변화 양상을 보이고, 변화량 분석을 통해 거짓 데이터를 탐지할 수 있다. 성능 분석을 위해 데이터 유효성 검증 성능 및 검증 소요시간을 측정하였다. 그 결과, 기존 기법에 비해 최대 1.45배 거짓 데이터 차단율을 향상시키고, 0.1~002.0% 수준의 오검출률을 보였다. 또한 저전력, 저성능 IoT 센서 장치에서 검증 소요시간을 측정 결과, 데이터량 증가에 따라 2.5969초까지 증가되는 RSA 암호화 기법에 비해 제안 기법은 0.0003초로 높은 검증 효율을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents a force/displacement sensing system to measure penetration depths and machining forces during pattering operation. This sensing system consists of a leaf spring mechanism and a capacitive sensor, which is mounted on a PZT driven in-feed motion stage with 1nm resolution. The sample is moved by a xy scanning motion stage with 5nm resolution. The constructed system was applied to nano indentation experiments, and the load-displacement curves of silicon(111) and aluminum were obtained. Then, the indentation samples were measured by AFM. Experimental results demonstrated that the developed system has the ability of preforming force/depth sensing indentations

  • Red tide(harmful algae) in the Korean Coastal Waters has a given a great damage to the fishery every year. However, the aim of our study understands the influence of meteorological factors (air and water temperature, precipitation, sunshine, solar radiation, winds) relating to the mechanism of red tide occurrence and monitors red tide by satellite remote sensing, and analyzes the potential area for red tide occurrence by GIS. The meteorological factors have directly influenced on red tide formation. Thus, We want to predict and apply to red tide formation from statistical analyses on the relationships between red tide formation and meteorological factors. In future, it should be realized the near real time monitoring for red tide by the development of remote sensing technique and the construction of integrated model by the red tide information management system (the data base of red tide - meteorological informations). Finally our purpose is support to the prediction information for the possible red tide occurrence by coastal meteorological information and contribute to reduce the red tide disaster by the prediction technique for red tide.

  • The sensing characteristics of new oxide sensing materials, NiO, NiO-YSZ and CuO, were evaluated at the temperature of $700^{\circ}C$ in 10 % $O_2$containing atmosphere. Through simultaneous response to $NO_2$ and NO, the sensing mechanism of oxide electrode was studied and the relation of EMF and NO/$NO_2$ concentrations was elucidated. Moreover, for highly sensitive NOx sensor, modified mixed potential sensor which has at least two oxide electrodes was proposed.

  • Participatory sensing applications rely on recruiting appropriate participants to share their surrounding conditions with others, and have been widely used in many areas like environmental monitoring, health care, and traffic congestion monitoring, etc. In such applications, how to ensure the privacy of a participant is important, since incentive mechanisms are used to maintain their enthusiasm for sustainable participation by offering certain amount of reward. In this paper, we propose a pseudonym-based privacy protection scheme, that takes both privacy protection and user incentives into consideration. The proposed scheme uses the pseudonym mechanism and one-way hash function to achieve user incentives, while protecting their identity. We also show extensive analysis of the proposed scheme to demonstrate that it can meet the security and performance the requirement of a participatory sensing application.

Vertically Aligned WO3-CuO Core-Shell Nanorod Arrays for Ultrasensitive NH3 Detection

  • Vertically aligned $WO_3$-CuO core-shell nanorod arrays for $NH_3$ sensing are prepared. The sensor is fabricated by preparing $WO_3$-CuO nanorod arrays directly on silicon wafer with interdigital Pt electrodes. The $WO_3$-CuO nanorod arrays are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The sensor based on the vertically aligned $WO_3$-CuO nanorod arrays exhibits ultrasensitive $NH_3$ detection, indicating p-type behavior. The optimum sensing temperature is found to be about $150^{\circ}C$. Both response and recovery time to $NH_3$ ranging from 50 ppm to 500 ppm are around 10-15 s. A possible $NH_3$ sensing mechanism of the vertically aligned hybrid nanorod arrays is proposed.

  • P/N(CuO/ZnO) Heterojunction gas sensors were made by 2-step sintering methods and its gas sensing property was measured by varying the injected gases and the operating temperatures. As the applied voltage was increased in air ambients, the current-voltage characteristics shown the ohmic properties. However, when the CO gas ambients, 500 ppm at $200^{\circ}C$, the current-voltage characteristics behaves like a rectifying diode s after 3 mins later and its conduction mechanism is discussed qualitatively for the first times.

  • In this paper, a novel dual-type positioning mechanism using a voice coil motor(VCM) and a piezoelectric actuator is proposed for optical disk drive or near-field recording type drive. The VCM is used for a coarse motion actuator and the piezoelectric actuator, "S" configuration deflection motion when voltage applied, is used for a fine motion actuator with self-sensing technique, which allows it to sense and actuate simultaneously in a closed loop frame work. When the VCM rotates and stops, a position feedback control algorithm is adopted to further control residu vibration. The performance of the control scheme is confirmed through simulations and experiments.

  • This paper presents an experimental measurement system for 3-6 GHz microwave tomography (MT) of the breast. The measurement system is constructed as a minimal test bed to verify key components such as the sensing antennas, radio frequency (RF) transceiver, sensing mechanism, and image reconstruction method for our advanced MT system detecting breast cancer at an early stage. The test bed has eight RF channels operating at 3 to 6 GHz for high spatial resolution and a two-axis scanning mechanism for three-dimensional measurement. The measurement results from the test bed are shown and discussed.

A Novel Spectrum Allocation Strategy with Channel Bonding and Channel Reservation

  • In order to meet various requirements for transmission quality of both primary users (PUs) and secondary users (SUs) in cognitive radio networks, we introduce a channel bonding mechanism for PUs and a channel reservation mechanism for SUs, then we propose a novel spectrum allocation strategy. Taking into account the mistake detection and false alarm due to imperfect channel sensing, we establish a three-dimensional Markov chain to model the stochastic process of the proposed strategy. Using the method of matrix geometric solution, we derive the performance measures in terms of interference rate of PU packets, average delay and throughput of SU packets. Moreover, we investigate the influence of the number of the reserved (resp. licensed) channels on the system performance with numerical experiments. Finally, to optimize the proposed strategy socially, we provide a charging policy for SU packets.
