아로마 흡입이 고3수험생의 고3증후와 피로에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Aroma Therapy on Exam Syndromes and Fatigue in Grade 12 Students Preparing for College Entrance Exams)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of aroma therapy on exam syndromes and temporary fatigue of senior high school students who are preparing to take college entrance exams. Method: This study was a pre-experimental research using a one-group pre-post test design and was conducted between April and July 2003 with 35 high school students. A pre-post test was used to measure long-term exam syndromes and temporary fatigue during the first period of school. Paired t-test was used. Aromas were given using an aroma electrical lamp, aroma necklet with basic oils of rosemary and lemon. According to the condition of the students, one or two oils were added: peppermint, pine, eucalyptus and Clary-Sage. Results: After two months (May, June), the result of administering aroma therapy to senior high school students showed in June there was a decrease in principal exam syndromes such as eye fatigue, headache, shoulder pain, neck stiffness, back pain, and common cold, and there was an increase Un study concentration during the two months. However, in May, there were no significant effects. The reason may have been a strong extraneous factor from midterm exams that would affect their college entrance. Conclusion: According to these results, if we use aroma oil carefully, with evidence-based applications, aroma therapy can have a positive effect on senior high school students who are preparing for the college entrance exams.

중고등학생 자녀에 대한 사교육비 지출 및 어머니의 사교육 스트레스와 역할갈등에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Expenditure on the Private Education of Junior and Senior High School Students, the Stress from Private Education, and the Role Conflicts of Their Mothers)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the expenditure on private education and stress from private education, and the role conflicts of the mothers of junior and senior high school students. The subjects were 300 mothers of students who are enrolled in junior and senior high school and receiving private education in Seoul and its suburbs. The results were as follows: First, the level of stress from private education was found to be higher than the scale range of the median, whereas the degree of role conflicts was slightly lower than the scale range of the median. Second, a hierarchical regression analysis was performed by using the expenditure on private education and stress from private education as independent variables and the socio-demographic variables of mothers as the control variables in order to identify their effect on the role conflicts of the mothers of the junior and senior high school students. The results show that the age of the mother, the household monthly income, the monthly expenditure on private education, and stress from private education were significantly related to the role conflicts of the mothers. That is, the older the age of the mother, the lower the level of monthly income, the lower the level of the monthly expenditure on private education, and the higher the level of stress from private education, the greater the degree of the role conflicts of the mother.

자기-지각의 발달적 변화 (Developmental Change of the Self-Perception)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the developmental changes about self-perception from childhood to adult period. The subjects were 365 of 5th graders in elementary school, the 2nd graders in junior and senior high school, sophomore in college, and adults. The instruments used for this study were Harter's Self-Perception Profile for the children, adolescences, college students, and adults. The results were as follows. 1. From elementary school to junior high school, the score of scholastic, athletic, physical appearance, behavioral conduct, and global self-worth were decreased. At the developmental perspective, the junior high school students were highly anxious for self-perception. 2. Physical appearance were the best predictor of the global self-worth for all developmental stages. 3. Physical appearance, behavioral conduct predicted more about the global self-worth than any other factors for elementary and junior high school students. And for junior high school students, social acceptance and friendship also predicted about the global self-worth. Scholastic competence showed higher correlation with global self-worth for the senior high school and college students than elementary and junior high school students. 4. For college students, males had higer scores than females on ability-oriented but also relationship-oriented subscales. But the adults showed no differences in nurturance, household management, job competence depending on sex.

고등학생들의 에이즈(후천성 면역 결핍증)에 대한 지식과 태도에 관한 연구 - K시 일부 고등학생 대상 - (A Study of the Knowledge, Attitude and Needs of AIDS Education of Senior High School Students)

  • This descriptive study was done to investigate the degree of knowledge and attitudes, the need of health education, and the relationship between knowledge and attitudes concerning AIDS in senior high school students. The data was collected from 386 senior high school students(200 boys, 180 girls) in K city. The data was gathered by a self reporting questionnaire, from Nov. 22nd to the 30th, 1995. Data was analyzed using the descriptive statistics methods: t-test, F-test, Pearson-Correlation Coefficient, GLM with the statistical computer package, SAS. The Result of this study were as follows : 1. The mean score of knowledge about AIDS was 42.70 from a total score of 58, showing significant differences between boys and girls (p<0.0001). 2. The mean score of attitudes about AIDS was 29.95 from a total score of 40, showing no significant differences between boys and girls. 3. The selected contents that the students want to learn were prevention, etiology, transmission, symptoms, and treatment of AIDS in that order. 4. The relationship between knowledge and attitude about AIDS show a positive correlation and is statistically significant(r=0.27, p<0.0001). The information obtained from this study will provi a useful data to develop a practical health education program about AIDS for senior high school students.

한국 고등학생의 인구학적 특성 및 일탈행동 요인과 스트레스와의 관계에 관한 고찰 (Association of Demographic Characteristics and Delinquent Behaviors and Level of Stress among Korean Senior High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 청소년건강행태 온라인조사 자료를 토대로 고등학생의 인구사회학적 특성 및 일탈행동요인에 따른 스트레스 수준의 차이를 t-검증과 F-검증을 통해 비교하였다. 연구결과, 인구학적 특성 요인에 있어서는 여학생이 남학생보다, 양 부모와 동거하지 않는 경우에, 가계의 경제수준이 낮은 경우에, 전문계 고등학생의 경우에, 고학년인 경우에, 학업성적이 낮은 경우에, 일탈행동요인에 있어서는 인터넷 중독인 경우에, 문제음주를 한 경우에, 흡연을 한 경우의 고등학생이 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해 통계학적으로 유의하게 높은 스트레스 수준을 보였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 토대로 고등학생의 스트레스 완화 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

서울시내(市內) 여학생(女學生)의 도시락 실태조사(實態調査) (Survey Study on lunch box of Senior High School Girls in Seoul City)

  • To evaluate the results of nutrition education in high school, the contents of the lunch box of senior high school girls were surveyed. Among 540 students in Attached Senior High School, College of Education, Seoul National University, 403 girls who had carried a lunch box were selected as a subject. All the nutrients except vitamin D given in Recommended Daily Dietary Allowances were calculated for the foods in lunch box and compared with the Recommended Allowances for Korean people, and foods in lunch box were also considered as a food groups. To see how many students had an interest about their own nutrition, people who packed lunch box were also checked. Results are as follows 1) all the nutrients except iron and niacin of lunch box were low when compared with Recommended Daily Dietary Allowances for Korean people 2) Over 50% of calorie, protein, vitamin $B_1$, and niacin were provided by main food-rice, although other nutrients were principally from side dish. 3) Side dishes were few in kinds and chiefly salty foods such as preserved and processed foods were in the lunch box. There was no consideration in cooking method. 4) There may be a fault in nutrition education in high school because, there were only few students who had an interest in their own nutrition.

한국 고등학생의 자살 생각에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : 인구사회학적 특성 요인과 일탈행동 요인을 중심으로 (Factors that Affect the Suicidal Thoughts of High School Students in Korea: Focusing on the Socio-demographic Characteristics and Delinquent Behaviors)

  • 본 연구는 제 5차 청소년건강행태 온라인조사 자료를 통해 고등학생의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인을 인구사회학적 특성 요인과 일탈행동 요인을 중심으로 탐색하였다. 연구결과를 로지스틱 회귀분석에 의해 제시하면, 인구사회학적 특성 요인 중에서는 여학생의 경우에, 양부모와 동거하지 않는 경우에, 가계의 경제수준이 낮을수록, 전문계 학생인 경우에, 저학년일수록, 학업성적이 좋지 않을수록, 일탈행동 요인 중에서는 인터넷 중독인 경우에, 문제음주 성향을 지닌 경우에, 흡연하는 경우에, 약물을 사용한 경험이 있는 경우에 통계학적으로 유의한 수준에서 자살 생각을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 청소년의 자살예방에 대한 논의를 진행하였다.

고등학생 청각선별 결과 (Results of Hearing Screening in Senior High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 경산지역 남녀 고등학생을 대상으로 하고, 재검대상자 비율을 통해 청각 선별의 필요성을 고찰하고자 한다. 연구 대상은 여자 고등학생 359명, 남자 고등학생 205명 등 모두 564명으로 하였다. 청각선별은 고막운동성계측(tympanometry)과 자동화 이음향방사(automated otoacoustic emission; AOAE)를 이용하였다. 재검대상자 중 위양성 소견을 보인 여학생 8명(2.228%) 11귀와 남학생 9명(4.39%) 10귀를 제외하면 최종 재검대상자는 여학생이 9명(2.5%), 남학생이 19명(9.268%)으로 각각 관찰되었다. 고막운동도와 AOAE는 남녀 사이 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 청소년 청각선별은 이관 성장 발달에도 불구하고 순음청 각선별로 확인하기 어려운 난청을 선별하기 위하여 고막운동성계측을 시행할 필요가 있고, 위양성 결과를 낮추기 위한 노력이 필요하다.

일부 중.고등학교 및 대학교 여학생의 출산에 대한 태도와 관련 요인 (The Related Factors of Attitude toward Childbirth among Female Students in Junior, Senior High School, and University)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to obtain basal information to establish a proper birth-encouraging policy in the future through the survey of the attitude towards childbirth and its related factors among female students in junior, senior high school, and university. Methods: A survey was performed for 2 weeks in June, 2006, for a total of 688 female students which included 185 ones in a girls' junior high school and 242 ones in a girls' senior high school in Sacheon, and 261 ones in two universities in Jinju. The selfadministered questionnaires developed by the authors included the socio-demographic characteristics, the attitude towards childbirth, the preference of a son for their future child, the belief on relative importance of family or work after marriage, the seriousness perception of low birth rate in Korea, frequencies of education in school about low birth rate. The attitude was measured by an answer to the question of 'To what degree do you think you are going to have a child(or children)?' Results: The proportion of positive attitude towards their future childbirth was 76.2% in junior high school, 63.9% in high school, and 82.8% in university students (p<0.01). In the logistic regression analysis, the significant factors related with positive attitude towards future childbirth were school grade, preference of a son for their future children, and belief on relative importance of family or work after marriage. Conclusions: It suggests that the related factors with positive attitude towards future childbirth need to be considered to make a proper birth policy.
