자율형 고등학교의 자기주도적 학습전형 운영 실태와 개선방안 (Improvement of Screening System of Self-initiated Learning in Self-governing High Schools)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore improving ways of screening of self-directed learning in self-governing high schools for expanding self-initiated learning screening system. To achieve the above aim, it was used survey method to 99 admission teachers of 12 self-governing high schools and analyzed responses with SPSS program. The research findings are as follows. To expand self-initiated learning screening system in self-governing high schools, it needs to obtain admission members of entrance committee, pooling of external screening members, quick decision of school admission members, increasing payment, training and understanding of the system and consideration of admission documents and study plan. Some improving ways of the expanding of self-initiated learning screening may be listed as follows: 1) development of screening model for self-governing schools 2) policy consideration for self-governing public high school 3) expanding autonomy of school 4) supporting budget 5) sharing of operation case and reinforcement of public relations.

Supporting Resilience and the Management of Grief and Loss among Nurses: Qualitative Themes from a Continuing Education Program

  • Caring for patients with cancer is highly stimulating and rewarding, attracting health professionals to the field who enjoy the challenge of managing a complex illness. Health professionals often form close bonds with their patients as they confront ongoing disease or treatment impacts, which may be associated with multiple losses involving function and/or eventual loss of life. Ongoing exposure to patient loss, along with a challenging work setting, may pose significant stress and impact health professionals' well-being. The prevalence rates of burnout and compassion fatigue (CF) are significant, yet health professionals have little knowledge on these topics. A 6-week continuing education program consisting of weekly small-group video-conferencing sessions, case-based learning, and an online community of practice was delivered to health care providers providing oncology care. Program content included personal, organization and team-related risk and protective factors associated with CF, grief models, and strategies to mitigate against CF. Content analysis was completed as part of the program evaluation. In total, 189 participants (93% nurses) completed the program, which was associated with significant improvements in confidence and knowledge of CF and strategies to support self and team resilience. Qualitative themes and vignettes from experiences with the program are presented. Key themes included knowledge gaps, a lack of support related to CF and strategies to support resilience, organization-and team-based factors that can inhibit expression about the impacts of clinical work, the health professional as a "person" in caregiving, and the role of personal variables, self-skill practices, and recommendations for education and support for self and teams.

지역주민 참여에 영향을 미치는 건강증진사업 지원요인 -일개 광역시 일 만보 걷기사업을 중심으로- (Supporting Factors Affecting Citizen Engagement in Community Health Promotion Program -Focused on 10,000-Step Walking Program of a Metropolitan City-)

  • 본 연구는 지역사회 건강증진사업에서 주민참여에 영향을 미치는 사업지원요인을 규명하기 위한 서술적 연구이다. B시에서 주최한 3개월간 일만보 걷기사업을 중도에 포기하지 않고 끝까지 참여한 지역주민 418명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료는 자기보고식 설문지를 이용하여 수집하였고, T검정과 분산분석, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 사업 참여자 중 물리적 지원(만보기(p<.001), 걷기기록장(p<.001), 실천저금통(p=.002))을 이용하거나, 정보적 지원(걷기교육, 주민리더교육)에 참여하거나(p<.001), 촉진행사 및 모임(보건소별 걷기모임)에 참여횟수가 많거나(p<.001), 파트너십(걷기 동아리에 소속된 경우)에 따라서(p<.001) 걷기 참여일수는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 걷기 기록장 사용, 동아리 소속이 걷기 참여의 유의한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 따라서 추후 건강증진 사업운영 시 참여자의 건강증진 행위실천을 돕기 위한 물품을 지원하고 파트너십을 구축(모임, 동아리) 하는 등 주민참여 향상을 위한 다양한 정책전략이 필요하다.

The Effect of Driving Simulator Program on Elderly Drivers

  • The purpose of the present study was to present evidence for driving interventions for the elderly by conducting programs that can improve visual perception and cognitive function in a driving simulator for elderly drivers and analyse their effects. Three elderly subjects who were 65 years or older, did not have physical and cognitive impairments, and were able to drive themselves participated in the present study. A total of 12 intervention sessions, of which subjects participated in 10 sessions of nine different visual perception and cognitive function programs available in a driving simulator, were conducted and pre- and post-program assessments were conducted (two assessments in total). The assessments included the evaluation of visual perception, frontal lobe function, concentration, safe driving behaviour, and self-efficacy. The results showed positive effects of the driving simulator program on the visual perception, frontal lobe function, concentration, safe driving behaviour, and self-efficacy of all subjects. Changes in the simulator results showed remarkable improvement in the response evaluation, judgment evaluation, and predictive power evaluation, but showed difficulties in interference tasks and depth perception in common. The results showed positive effects of driving simulator training on the driving ability of the elderly, and consistent provision of such training is expected to improve the quality of life of the elderly by securing the safety of driving and actively supporting social participation.

Conceptual Safety Design Analyses of Korea Advanced Liquid Metal Reactor

  • The national long-term R&D program, updated in 1997, requires Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute(KAERI) to complete by the year 2006 the basic design of Korea Advanced Liquid Metal Reactor(KALIMER), along with supporting R&D work, with the capability of resolving the issue of spent fuel storage as well as with significantly enhanced safety. KALIMER is a 150 MWe pool-type sodium cooled prototype reactor that uses metallic fuel. The conceptual design is currently under way to establish a self-consistent design meeting a set of major safety design requirements for accident prevention. Some of the current emphasis includes those for inherent and passive means of negative reactivity insertion and decay heat removal, high shutdown reliability, prevention of and protection from sodium chemical reaction, and high seismic margin, among others. All of these requirements affect the reactor design significantly and involve extensive supporting R&D programs. This paper summarizes some of the results of conceptual engineering and design analyses performed for the safety of HAMMER in the area of inherent safety, passive decay heat removal, sodium water reaction, and seismic isolation.

한.양방협진 코디네이터의 현황 및 발전방안 (Coordinators' Roles and Activation Plans for East-West Collaborative Medical Practices)

  • Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the current job-related characteristics coordinators in East-West Collaborative Medical Practices(EWCMP) and to develop activation plans for them. Method : The participants were 51 personnel who were supporting EWCMP in the 28 institutions. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed with descriptive statistics. Results : The major role of the participants was educating and consulting patients(74.5%) and followed by supporting collaborating physician(70.6%). They assumed to be helpful to make the patients easy to use EWCMP(98%) and to give patients full information what they asked(96%). However, participants responded lack of adequate educational programs and role ambiguity as chief complaints(91.7%). They showed relatively high level of job importance(78.7points on 100points) and job satisfaction(72.8points on 100points). Coordinators were expected to have bachelor and more than 8 years clinical career, and communication skill. Conclusions : Coordinators have played key roles in giving information for the patients and coordinating EWCMP. However their roles and job description was not clear, and educational programs was insufficient as required. Therefore, it is needed to clarify their roles and job description and establish professional educational programs for supporting coordinators.

초등학교 아동이 지각한 6학년 학업성취에 대한 4학년 학업성취의 예측: 5학년 자아존중감 및 학습행동조절의 순차적 매개효과 (The Prediction of Academic Achievement at 6th Grade from Perceived Academic Achievement at 4th Grade: Serial Multiple Mediation of Self-esteem and Self-control in Learning at 5th Grade)

  • Objective: The current study aimed at examining the mediation effects of children's self-esteem and self-control in learning between perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade and $6^{th}$ grade. This article proposes that perceived academic achievement boosts self-esteem and self-control in learning and both in turn, influence subsequent perceived academic achievement. We especially attempted to empirically prove that a serial multiple mediation of self-esteem and self-control in learning between the perceived academic achievement at two time points exists. Methods: We analyzed the longitudinal data of 1,881 children from the $4^{th}$ to the $6^{th}$ wave data of the '2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS)' by means of a Hayes's PROCESS(2012) program. Results: The results revealed that perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade influenced children's self-esteem and self-control in learning at $5^{th}$ grade. Children' self-esteem and self-control in learning subsequently predicted perceived academic achievement at $6^{th}$ grade. Children's self-esteem significantly predicted self-control in learning supporting the hypothesis of serial multiple mediation. Conclusion/Implications: In conclusion, children's self-esteem and self-control in learning behaviors both mediated the association between perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade and at $6^{th}$ grade. The findings imply the importance of consideration of both psychosocial and behavioral aspects in understanding the academic performance during childhood.

자활직업훈련 사업의 임금 효과 분석 - Propensity Score Matching 방법으로 - (An analysis of the income impact of Self-Sufficiency training Program - by using Propensity Score Matching -)

  • 본 연구는 국민기초생활보장법 하의 조건부 수급자가 자활직업훈련 프로그램의 참여로 인해 임금이 향상되었는지에 관해 실증적으로 분석 하였다. 분석 자료로는 한국노동연구원에서의 자활사업 참여자를 대상으로 한 '자활대상자 직업훈련 실태'조사와 한국보건사회연구원에서 실시하는 2004년 '자활패널'조사 자료를 결합하여 '자활직업훈련 실태'조사의 응답자를 실험그룹으로'자활패널'을 비교그룹으로 구성하여 분석하였으며, 기존 연구의 통계적 취약점을 극복하기 위해 Propensity Score Matching 방법을 이용하여 자활직업훈련의 임금효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 자활직업훈련 참가자들이 그와 비슷한 특성을 가진 비교그룹에 비해서 약 12만원 정도 소득이 낮음을 확인함으로써, 이러한 부정적인 효과가 나타난 원인과 의미에 대해서 논의하였다.

의과대학의 학습경험 중심 전문직업성 프로그램 운영 및 평가 (The Implementation and Evaluation of Learning Experience-Based Professionalism Program in Medical School)

  • 본 연구는 의과대학에서 학습자 주도의 학습경험중심의 전문직업성 프로그램을 개발하여 운영한 후 효과성과 사용성 평가를 통해 대학수준에서 학습경험 중심의 교육과정의 실제적 함의를 밝히고자 한다. 의과대학 1학년 74명의 학생들이 학생경험개발 모형에 기반하여 설계된 PDS1(Patient-Doctor-Society1): 전문직업성, 1주일 블록수업(총 30시간), 1학점 과목에 참여하였다. 학생들은 모두 6가지의 학습주제와 학습자원 및 지원도구를 제공받아 경험의 준비, 조직, 공유, 성찰, 평가로 구성된 학습활동 단계를 수행하였다. 교육의 효과성 평가는 24개 설문항목을 사전-사후 비교하였고, 사용성 평가는 학생대상의 만족도 설문 및 교수자 학생대상의 면담이 시행되었다. 전문직업성에 대한 학습자 자기평가 결과, 리더십과 자기 주도적 학습, 전문성에 대한 태도, 사회적 책무성 모두 학습 이전과 이후의 결과에 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다. 학생을 대상으로 하는 프로그램의 만족도는 항목별 3.58~3.78에 분포하였다. 교수자와 학습자 면담에서는 교육과정설계, 운영, 평가의 전 과정에서 실질적인 사용성을 확인하였다. 연구결과는 학습경험중심의 교육과정설계와 평가의 현장 적용 가능성에 대하여 실증적 타당성을 제시해주었다. 본 연구는 의과대학에서 학습자 주도의 학습경험 방식으로 전문직업성 교육프로그램을 개발하여 운영한 실증적 사례로써 함의가 있다.

중소병원 간호사의 전문직자아개념과 조직몰입 및 직무만족과의 관계 (The Relationship between Professional Self-Concept, Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is descriptive survey to offer basic data of nursing management practice as identify the relationship between Professional Self-Concept, Organizational Commitment and Job satisfaction, whom nurses work general hospitals less than 250 beds. Methods: The subjects in this study were random sampling 320 nurse who worked in 9 general hospital in G city that had less than 250 beds, data was collected from 10 to 30 in Apr, 2007. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson‘s correlation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test. Results: Level of Professional Self-Concept of nurses was average 2.60 point, level of Organizational Commitment of nurses showed 2.83 point, level of Job Satisfaction of nurses showed 2.73 point. There was a statistically significant difference at Professional Self-Concept of nurses as general characteristics showed a marriage state, position, work place, clinical career. There was a statistically significant difference at Organizational Commitment of nurses as general characteristics showed a marriage state, position, clinical career. There was a statistically significant difference at Job Satisfaction of nurse as general characteristics showed a marriage state, position, clinical career. There were highest correlation Organizational Commitment with Job Satisfaction(r=.536, p<.001), also high correlation Organizational Commitment with Professional Self-Concept(r=.478, p<.001). And there were high correlation Job Satisfaction with Professional Self-Concept(r=.422, p<.001). Conclusions: As integrate of the study result showed the Professional Self-Concept had correlation to Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction, specially as relation those valuables with general characteristics of subjects, it strongly need to develop educational program for improving Professional Self-Concept with supporting of variety administration for developing human resource for nurses who are not married, low position in hospital, short career, or worked in inpatient wards.
