The purpose of this study intends that the contemporary university students would understand the importance and relationship of the Self-Expression as its appropriateness, the Self-Understanding and the Self-Accommodation as it is, and that it would conducive to enhance their Communication Capability and Accommodation to other's perspective on the base of these understandings. In accordance with the analyses of questioners and statistics as a methodology of this study, the tendency of the factors effective to the enhancement for the Communication Capability and the Accommodation to other's perspective will be found out and the meaning of the Self-Expression, the Self-Accommodation and the Self-Understanding will be analyzed by the standpoint of the enhancement of the Self-Competency. The result of this study reveals that a high distributed group for the Definitization of the Self-Conception is to have more the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation. As an enlightenment from this study, the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation shall have a mutual reliance and be influenced to the Accommodation of Other Person's Perspective. In case of the high distribution of the Self-Accommodation, where there is the both of the low distribution of the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation, the Accommodation of Other Person's Perspective is high. However, if there is the higher of the Self-Expression and the Self-Accommodation, there influences the better enhancement of the Communication-Capability, and there no effect to their mutual reliance. This study enlightens when it becomes at the stage of the Self-Accommodation, a respectable listening from others makes to accommodate other as it is and when it is wanted to raise the Communication Capability, it is required to improve the capability through the Self-Expression together with the Self-Accommodation.

Purpose. : The present study is an attempt to find out the impact of self-citations on Impact Factor (IF) across disciplines. The study examines the number of research articles published across 27 major subject fields covered by SCImago, encompassing as many as 310 sub-disciplines. The study evaluates aspects like percentage of self-citations across each discipline, leading self-citing countries and continents, and the impact of self-citation on their IF. Scope. : The study is global in nature, as it evaluates the trend of self-citation and its impact on IF of all the major subject disciplines of the world, along with countries and continents. IF has been calculated for the year 2012 by analyzing the articles published during the years 2010 and 2011. Methodology/Approach. : The study is empirical in nature; as such, statistical and mathematical tools and techniques have been employed to work out the distribution across disciplines. The evaluation has been purely under-taken on the secondary data, retrieved from SCImago Journal and Country Ranking. Findings. : Self-citations play a very significant part in inflating IF. All the subject fields under study are influenced by the practice of self-citation, ranging from 33.14% to 52.38%. Compared to the social sciences and the humanities, subject fields falling under the purview of pure and applied sciences have a higher number of self-citations, but a far lesser percentage than the social sciences and humanities. Upon excluding self-citations, a substantial amount of change was observed in the IF of subject fields under study, as 18 (66.66%) out of 27 subjects fields faced shuffle in their rankings. Variation in rankings based on IF with and without self-citation was observed at subject level, country level, and continental level.
The main purpose of this study is to examine the effects of preschoolers' levels of playfulness, self-esteem and self-regulation on their self-determination. Furthermore, the mediational effects of the children's self-esteem in the relationship between their playfulness and self-determination. To meet the purposes of this study, 126 preschoolers aged 6-7 years old who attended early childhood education and care settings were sampled. Data on the preschoolers' self-esteem, self-regulation, and self-determination were assessed by their teachers, and their playfulness was observed by one of the researchers in this study. The main results of this study were as follows. The most influential variable on the young children's self-determination was found to be their levels of self-esteem. Also, the preschoolers' self-esteem mediated the effects of the playfulness on their self-determination. Implications for research and practice were discussed along with the results of this study.
This study is focused on analyzing effects of Self-regulated learning on Academic self-regulation, Science achievement and Science Related Affective Domains. The subjects of this study were sampled from fifth grades of a elementary school in Seoul, 61 students. One class (31 students) out of selected two classes was applied to Self regulated learning Teaching Model, the other (30 students) took conventional methods of teaching. The experiment proceeded for 21 weeks, 51 times of classes. According to the results of this study, Self-regulated learning improved the children's Academic self regulation ability. Self-regulated learning improved the children's science achievement. Self-regulated learning improved the children's Science Related Affective Domains. Furthermore, six distinct dimensions of Academic self-regulation have correlation with scientific attitudes, interests of Science Related Affective Domains.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of perceptual self-concept and evaluative self-concept (self-esteem) on the clothing behavior of college students. The subjects of this study were college students who were attended in Semyung University. For statistical analysis, factor analysis, 1-test, Pearson's correlation and two-way ANOVA were used. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Male students showed higher evaluative self.concept than female students. 2. Shopping motivation was varied according to self-concept especially in male students. And in fashion pursuit factor, sex and self-concept had the main effect and concurrently there was interaction. 3. Clothing interest was varied according to self-concept. About fashion interest, sex had the main effect and sex and self-concept showed the interaction. 4. Clothing satisfaction was changed according to self-concept. Self-concept showed the main effect in fashionable factor and practical factor, and sex and self-concept had interaction in fashionable factor.
To investigate the interplay between individual and collective self-regulations, the authors propose a dialectic process that describes the changes in the locus of self-regulations between individual self and collective self. The results from three studies display a strong support for the two sets of hypotheses drawn from the proposed process. Our findings demonstrate that consumers can move the locus of self-regulation from individual-self to collective-self when a social identity is activated (preliminary study and study1). Further examination of regulatory swing between individual and collective regulatory orientations revealed group identification as a key variable in determining the locus of self-regulation (study2). While a consumer with a high level of group identification changes her locus of self-regulation from an individual to a collective (a regulatory shift) and evaluated messages and products framed consistent with their group orientation, a consumer with low level of group identification maintains her locus of self-regulation in her personal level of self (a regulatory preservation) and evaluated messages and products framed consistent with their personal regulatory focus.

The "genderless fashion" style adopted by 20 to 30-year-olds in Korea cannot be ignored in the consumer fashion code. This study investigated self-images of Korean genderless fashion consumers through in-depth interviews. Interview analyses confirmed that Korean genderless fashion consumers express their self-image through clothing. As the theoretical framework, this study used Lacan's concept of desire to classify the types of self-image consumers want to express. The results are classified into three subject types: those who pursue self-fulfillment, those who pursue fulfillment from others, and those who pursue endless fulfillment through a self-image. This reflects various factors and the subjects' desires. Further, a subject's desire to present a specific self-image was an important factor in understanding the genderless fashion style. The study results revealed that modern fashion is an "unconscious" field of self-expression that crucially reflects individual desires. The study also contributes to the understanding of the concept of self-image at large.
Purpose: This study was designed to analyze the correlation on body image, self-esteem and self-efficacy of Female Students in College. Method: The research population included convenience sample of 696 subjects composed of Female Students in College. Data collection was done from July, 2002 to October, 2002 using a written inquiry. The data were analyzed by using t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient. Result: The results of this study were as follows: 1. The relationship among body image, self-esteem and self-efficacy were found to have statistically significant positive correlations. 2. The difference of body image, self-esteem and self-efficacy according to the characteristics in subjects were found to have statistically significancy of grade, age, personality and degree of adaptation. The difference of body image according to the monthly income of the family was found to be statistically significant. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between grade, age, personality, and monthly income.
