We conducted our empirical research by administering 308 questionnaires to customers of self-service convenience stores in China. We employed a structural equation model to analyze the relationship between service quality, revisit intention, and word of mouth. The results indicate that perceived service quality significantly influences customer satisfaction, with the service quality of self-service retail and experience value being important factors in consumer acceptance of self-service retail stores. Additionally, we investigated the relationship between customer experience value, satisfaction, and loyalty, and found that self-service retail stores exert a significant impact on perceived self-efficacy. Informed by the research on customer acceptance of self-service technologies in retail, promoting further development of self-service retail technologies can effectively aid companies in generating profit while offering more convenience to customers.

The experimental subgroup (N=28) participated in the programmed educational theater for 9 sessions. The dependent variables were measured by the peer acceptance items of Sociometric Test as well as the Self-Perception Profile based on SPPC (Halter, 1985), and the same tests were administered twice, before and after the experiment. Covariance analyses showed significant differences between experimental and control groups, for the children in the neglected/rejected category, in peer acceptance and social acceptance dimension of self-esteem. Global self-worth among children of popular and average categories, and total self-esteem among children of average category were also improved by the theater program. These results imply that educational theater programs can be used effectively to promote young children's social adjustment.

  • This research aimed to investigate the relations of perfectionism and multicultural attitude upon a premise that sub-factors of the perfectionism : self-oriented perfectionism, other-oriented perfectionism and socially-prescribed perfectionism are related to multicultural attitude and to examine the moderation effect of self-acceptance on the relation between perfectionism and multicultural attitude. The questionnaires designed to measure multidimensional perfectionism, unconditional self-acceptance and multicultural attitude were administered to 258 office workers in Seoul and Gyeoggi-Do. The results from correlation analysis and regression analysis were as followed. First, sub-factors of the perfectionism was partially associated with sub-factors of multicultural attitude. In particular two sub-factors of the perfectionism : 'self-oriented perfectionism', 'other-oriented perfectionism' yielded effect on multicultural attitude, controlling the effects of other subscales. Second, unconditional self-acceptance moderated the relation between 'self oriented perfectionism' and sub-factor of the multicultural attitude : 'recognizing difference'. And unconditional self-acceptance moderated the relation between 'socially prescribed perfectionism' and sub-factors of the multicultural attitude : 'recognizing difference', 'openness and acceptance'. This present findings not only extend understandings about relationship between perfectionism and multicultural attitude by examining self-concept : unconditional self-acceptance but also provide that it isn't helpful that further support and rationale for unconditional self-acceptance as intervention for targets to focus in counseling process for those who suffer from perfectionism.

  • Purpose This study aims to investigate the relationship between digital literacy and the acceptance of care robots, as well as the mediating role of technology self-efficacy in this relationship. The findings of this research aim to provide foundational data for enhancing older adults' acceptance of new technologies, underscore the significance of bolstering older adults' digital literacy in relation to the adoption of care robot technology, and offer evidence to support interventions aimed at improving technology self-efficacy. Design/methodology/approach This study seeks to investigate the mediating effect of technology self-efficacy on the relationship between digital literacy and acceptance of care robot technology among older adults. Kyunghee University's '2022 Korean Senior Technology Acceptance Panel Survey' was used, targeting 509 people aged 60 or older. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0 software. Independent samples t-tests were used to characterize key variables of interest and correlation analysis was used to evaluate their relationships. To verify the mediation effect, mediation regression analysis along with the Sobel test was used. Findings The study found that improving older adults' digital literacy positively impacts their acceptance of care robot technology through enhanced technology self-efficacy. Active education and experience with digital devices are highlighted as crucial for enhancing older adults' sense of accomplishment and, consequently, their technology self-efficacy. The findings underscore the importance of programs and educational initiatives focused on enhancing digital literacy among older adults to boost technology self-efficacy and increase acceptance of care robot technology within this population.

  • This paper aims to empirically examine how personal characteristics and social influence affect user acceptance of mobile web browsing service. To examine the intention to use mobile web browsing service, we applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which has been widely used to explain and predict the IT acceptance to this study. This research also includes personal characteristics such as computer self-efficacy, mobile self-efficacy, and personal innovativeness in IT and social influences such as subjective norms, image, and visibility as the external variables of the TAM. The results indicate that computer self-efficacy do not directly influence ease of use, but indirectly through mobile self-efficacy. And the results indicate that mobile self-efficacy and personal innovativeness in IT have direct effects on ease of use. Empirical results also show that subjective norms and image affect usefulness. Additional theoretical and practical implications of these findings are also discussed in the paper.
