On the Data Features for Neighbor Path Selection in Computer Network with Regional Failure

  • This paper aims to investigate data features for neighbor path selection (NPS) in computer network with regional failures. It is necessary to find an available alternate communication path in advance when regional failures due to earthquakes or forest fires occur simultaneously. We describe previous general heuristics and simulation heuristic to solve the NPS problem in the regional fault network. The data features of general heuristics using proximity and sharing factor and the data features of simulation heuristic using machine learning are explained through examples. Simulation heuristic may be better than general heuristics in terms of communication success. However, additional data features are necessary in order to apply the simulation heuristic to the real environment. We propose novel data features for NPS in computer network with regional failures and Keras modeling for computing the communication success probability of candidate neighbor path.

  • In this paper, we consider a Bayesian model selection for the intraclass correlation coefficient in familiar data. In particular, we compare two nested models such as the independence and intraclass models using the reference prior. A criterion for testing is the Bayesian Reference Criterion by Bernardo (1999) and the Intrinsic Bayes Factor by Berger and Pericchi (1996). We provide numerical examples using simulation data sets for illustration.

  • To effectively predict the lipophilicity, the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) affinity, and TEF (Toxic equivalency factor) of dioxins by geometrical descriptors, the multiple linear regression methods with the forward selection and backward elimination were employed with statistical validity. The lipophilicity, the Ah receptor binding affinity, and the toxic equivalency factor of dioxins could be predicted using some geometrical descriptors.

  • In this paper, we suggest a new quasi-sliding mode condition with a wighting factor which guarantees all the states to reach switching planes and improves the convergence of the state trajectories. The result of computer simulation shows that by the suitable selection of a weighting factor, all the state trajectories reach switching planes and enter the sliding mode having the property of the insensitivity to parameter variation and disturbances.

A New Selection System for Pepper Regeneration by Mannose

  • We report the development of a new selection system for the transformation of pepper plants by mannose. In order to achieve this, we first tested several factors related to regeneration conditions. Among the 30 inbred lines examined, line P9l5 was able to generate shoots at the highest rate from both cotyledons and hyporotyls in MS media. A dosage curve for optimizing the selection conditions was established by mixing mannose (range 0-50 g/L) and sucrose (range 0-30 g/L). The least selection pressure on shoot formation was created by a mixture of sucrose and mannose at 20 g/L and 15 g/L, respectively, and the threshold for ultimate tissue death was 50 g/L of mannose irrespective of the sucrose concentration. However, we found that mannose itself was not the sole inhibitor of pepper shoot development. High concentrations of sucrose (30 g/L) contributed additively to the inhibition of shoot formation at higher mannose concentrations. Genotype preference is a major factor that enhances regeneration ability in mannose media, as was observed in MS media. P9l5 and P410 line had high regeneration rates under mannose selection conditions in the presence of Agrobacterium infection. Different virulence levels of Agrobacterium strains did change the regeneration rates, probably due to interaction with the specificities of the inbred lines. Taken together, P9l5 offers the best pepper inbred line for transformation and we recommend a selection condition of 20 g/L of sucrose and 15 g/L or more of mannose up to 50 g/L in media.

의료기관의 식자재 공급자 선정기준에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Analysis of Factors Influencing on Food Supplier Selection Criteria in the Health-care Foodservice Operations)

  • The purposes of this study were to find factor which influence on the selection criteria of food supplier. Questionnaire were distributed to 52 general hospitals with more than 400 beds located in Seoul and Kyongin province, and responded questionnaires were collected from 44 dietetic departments (84.6%) and 18 purchasing departments (34.6%). The main results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) supplier selection criteria include quality, service, cost and supplier competency. (2) With having been met with tight competition and market opening, hospitals plan a strategy to improve quality, service and they tend to have more interest in various supplier selection criteria. (3) Purchasing departments estimate more highly the rate of reflection in considering supplier selection criteria than the rate of importance about cost criteria, which reveals that purchasing departments sensitively respond to cost cutdown. (4) When selecting suppliers, a significant(p<.01) influence of stability of supplier industry environment on the selecting criteria such as the importances of quality, service, and supplier quality are recognized only after recognizing the stability of food delivery industry. Food supplier industry secures stability more quickly through major companies' participation in food distribution industry and this will reveal the importance of supplier selection criteria. (5) Suppliers which are selected by the quality criteria, service criteria, supplier quality criteria make efforts to communicate with foodservice departments, to give more proper information about substitute food, new product, and to make commitments, while suppliers which are decided by cost criteria do not establish supportive relationships with foodservice departments.

  • The main purpose of the study was to explore effects of selection criteria of collaborating fashion companies on the partnership growth of collaborating artists with those companies. Secondly was to find differences in the selection criteria of collaborating fashion companies and the partnership growth of collaborating artists according to the characteristics of artists including gender, age, frequency and time period of collaboration. The questionnaire was developed by the researchers and was collected from 50 artists with experience in collaboration with fashion companies. The questionnaire was composed of three parts including the selection criteria of fashion companies, partnership growth measured by a Likert-type scale, and characteristics of artists measured by a nominal scale. Data were analyzed by a frequency test, factor analysis, reliability test, regression analysis, and independent sample t-test using SPSS Win 18.0. The results of the study showed that significant effects of the selection criteria of collaborating fashion companies on the partnership growth of collaborating artists with the companies. Also, there were differences in the selection criteria of collaborating fashion companies and the partnership growth of collaborating artists between artist groups according to the characteristics of the artists including gender, age, frequency and time period of collaboration.

건강 라이프스타일이 와인 선택속성에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Healthy Lifestyle toward Wine Selection Attributes)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 건강 라이프스타일와 와인 선택속성의 영향관계와 건강라이프스타일과 와인선택속성이 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구를 위한 자료는 2013년 8월 29일 - 9월 29일까지(30일) 수집되어 285부가 분석에 이용되었다. 견강 라이프스타일와 와인 선택속성의 영향관계를 알아보기 위하여 정준상관분석과 회귀분석을 하였다. 요인분석결과, 건강 라이프스타일은 '건강자신감', '건강민감형', '건강에 대한 의지라는 3개의 요인으로 이루어졌으며 와인 선택속성 또한 와인라벨 특성, 경험적 특성 그리고 추천요인인 3개의 요인으로 구성되었다. 분석결과 건강에 대한 의지와 경험적 특성은 유의한 영향관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 건강 라이프스타일 중 건강에 대한 의지형이 구매 후 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 와인선택속성은 와인라벨특성과 경험적 특성이 구매 후 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

고등학생의 독서동기 및 도서선택에 미치는 요인 탐구 (Factors for Reading Motivation and Book Selection of High School Students: An Exploratory Study)

  • 독서동기 유발요인과 도서선택 요인은 서로 밀접하게 연관되어 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이러한 요인들을 포괄적으로 식별한 연구는 거의 없는 편이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고등학생들의 독서동기 및 도서선택에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인을 통합적으로 식별하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 인문계 고등학교에 재학 중인 고등학생 15명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 실시하였고, 이를 바탕으로 독서동기 및 도서선택에 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 고등학생들의 독서 행태에 영향을 주는 요인의 유형은 정보원의 특성, 개인적 요인, 가정환경 요인, 학교 및 학습환경 요인, 사회환경 요인으로 나타났다. 특히 이러한 요인들은 복합적으로 작용하여 독서동기나 도서선택에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 더 나아가 독서동기는 도서선택의 선행조건임을 알 수 있었고, 독서동기의 유발이 도서선택을 보장하는 것은 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 식별된 각 요인들은 고등학생들의 독서행태를 보다 깊이 이해하여 독서지도에 활용하고 새로운 프로그램을 개발하는데 도움이 될 것이다.
