Defining value as a measure of how well the project value objectives are met, Value Management Process (VMP) is considered to be any management effort or process that can proactively pursue one or more project objectives (i.e., security/safety, cost effectiveness, schedule optimization, and risk containment). The collection of 44 VMPs has been established based on a rigorous effort conducted by Construction Industry Institute (CII). Because varying circumstances on each project determine the level of suitability, it is crucial to identify which VMP should be implemented on a particular project. The current VMP selection process is primarily based on human intuition. The main objective of this paper is to provide a systematic method to facilitate the usage of VMPs on a particular project. This paper identified and quantified the selection principles (i.e., targeted value objectives, timing of initiation, project characteristics, and relative impact). The data collected from industry practitioners and VMP experts characterized each VMP in terms of the magnitude of benefit. An automated selection tool by Visual Basic Application (VBA) on MS Excel TM, was developed and proved its validity. As a pioneering study, this paper provides a comprehensive and structured knowledge on the subject of VMPs. From the industry's perspective, the automated selection tool, the premier of this study, contributes the facilitation of the VMP implementations in the construction industry thereby maximizing the potential benefits to a particular project.

The demand for super tall building construction is increasing worldwide. There has been a constant request for achieving early payback on investment by shortening the construction time. This pertains especially for the case of huge investment projects such as super tall building construction. It is very important to shorten the construction time for the building framework, which requires substantial construction time and cost, and this is directly related to the establishment of an optimum lift plan for construction. When there is a problem in the selection of the lift equipment, it is almost impossible to revise the selection, resulting in a possible failure of the project. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze the function and logic for the development of the process for the selection of lift equipment for super tall building projects and further development of making the analyzed process into a system. In line with this research objective, the process of selecting the optimum lift equipment by domestic construction company was investigated and analyzed as well as collecting the actual field data. The actual data were obtained by sensors installed on tower cranes at three construction sites with the help from the construction company.

연구는 수학 교과서 선정에 관한 교사의 인식을 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 합리적인 교과서 선정 과정 및 기준안 구성에 시사점을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 실제 교과서 선정 과정 및 선정을 위한 내적, 외적기준에 관한 조사를 실시한 결과 '교육과학기술부(교육청)에서 배부한 표준 선정 기준'을 가장 많이 활용하였으며 이 중 '학습내용조직'과 '학습평가'를 가장 중요한 요소로 여기는 것으로 나타났다. 선정 방식은 '기준에 맞추어 개인별로 점수 매긴 후 총점 합산하여 선정'한다는 응답이 가장 높게 나타났다. 실제 선정 시 가장 많이 고려한 내적 기준으로는 '학습 분량과 난이도의 적절성', 외적 기준으로는 '인지도'로 나타났으며 선정 과정에서의 애로사항은 '검토할 시간의 부족'이라 하였다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 교과서 선정 과정과 선정 기준안에서 개선되어야 할 시사점을 도출하였다.

In this study, we analyzed the process of the housing reflecting the self, based on the qualitative data that people describe their thoughts about their housing in social media 'online-housewarming'. Especially, based on the precedent study that modern self is established on continuous selection behavior, we focused on the selection behavior of the self and the role of the housing that affected it through the narrative. Each narrative component corresponds to the self-establishment process of modern people, identified through precedent study. We can confirm the existing internal criteria changing into new internal criteria through accumulation, interaction and nonverbal communication of selection by housing. Housing has been involved in the selection behavior of self throughout the narrative. From this, it can be seen that the thought of the self and housing are identified in three ways. In 'Online-Housewarming', (1) Housing equates with the self, in the sense that housing is a physical entity in which one's own choices are accumulated (2) People perceive the change of choice caused by the realistic constraints of housing as their interaction with housing. (3) People relate the opinions of others about housing with the opinions about their own self. In contemporary society, house reforming process is a process of mediating the self and the external world based on the selection behavior and affects the establishment of self.

The objectives of this paper are to provide software developer selection criteria and to develop evaluation framework using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The selection criteria are extracted from Software Development Life Cycle, Quality Assurance, and Productivitiy of Organization. In this paper, the selection model is proposed and its examples are illustrated. Though some further research is required, the proposed model can be regarded as a basis of a DSS for the selection of the software developer.

이 논문은 다중참조 및 가변블록 움직임 추정의 연산량을 효율적으로 줄이기 위해 세 가지 참조영상 선택 방법들을 소개한다. 제안된 RSP (Reference Selection Pass) 방법은 참조영상 선택의 부가적인 연산을 최소화 할 수 있고 MFS (Modified Frame Selection) 방법은 참조영상 선택 과정 중 영상의 움직임을 고려하여 참조영상 선택 시 연산 횟수를 기존 방식에 비해 17% 감소시킨다. 또한 TPRFS (Two Pass Reference frame Selection) 방법은 H.264/AVC에서 요구하는 가변블록 움직임 추정을 지원하기 위한 부가적인 연산을 블록 크기에 따라 선택되는 참조영상의 특성을 이용하여 최소화 한다. 실험 결과 제안한 방식은 기존의 방식에 비해 화질의 열화 없이 50% 이상의 움직임 추정의 연산량을 감소시킬 수 있다. 또한 제안한 참조영상 선택 방법은 움직임 추정의 주된 연산인 블록정합 단계와 별개로 수행이 되기 때문에 기존의 어떠한 단일참조 고속 움직임 탐색 방법과도 같이 사용되어 효율적으로 다중참조 및 가변블록 움직임 추정 연산을 지원 할 수 있다.

서비스 지향 컴퓨팅(Service-Oriented Computing, SOC)은 배포된 서비스를 선택하고 조합하여 서비스 클라이언트가 원하는 기능을 제공하는 개발 방식이다. SOC는 향상된 비즈니스 기민성, 단축된 개발 시간과 같은 여러 장점을 제공한다. 이러한 장점을 극대화하기 위해서는 서비스의 선택과 조합이 동적으로 이루어져야 한다. 하지만 현재의 프로그래밍 언어, SOC 플랫폼, 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링 언어 (Business Process Modeling Language, BPML) 및 도구는 수동적 서비스 선택 또는 서비스의 정적 바인딩만을 지원하는 수준에 머물러 있다 각 클라이언트의 요구사항을 만족하는 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 해당 비즈니스 프로세스는 재구성 (reconfiguration)되고 재배포 (redeploy)되어야 하는 문제점이 있다. 따라서, 서비스 클라이언트의 다양한 요구에 맞게 서비스를 신속하고 유연하게 조합시키기 위하여 동적 선택기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 엔터프라이즈 서비스 버스(Enterprise Service Bus, ESB) 기반의 동적 선택 핸들러 (Dynamic Selection Handler, DSH) 설계 기법을 제안한다. DSH의 네 가지 컴포넌트인 수행 리스너, 서비스 선택자, 서비스 바인더, 인터페이스 변환자에 대한 설계를 제시한다. DSH 설계 시에 적합한 디자인 패턴을 적용하여 컴포넌트의 재사용성이 높도록 설계한다. 마지막으로 제안한 DSH 설계의 실용성을 보이기 위해 ESB를 이용하여 DSH를 구현한다.

컴퓨터 네트워크 장비의 객관적 선정을 위해서는 통신 서비스 품질(Quality of Service : QoS) 개념의 이해와 적용이 요구된다. ITU-T E.800 권고안은 공급자와 고객관점의 서비스 품질 및 만족도 평가 기준을 제시하고 있기 때문에 네트워크 제품 평가 및 선정에 이용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 QoS를 고려한 LAN 스위치 평가모형과 선정을 위한 소프트웨어 도구를 개발하였다. 이를 위한 구체적 평가방법으로 효과적인 집단 의사결정을 위한 다기준 평가 모형에서 유용하게 이용되는 Saaty의 계층적 분석방법(Analytic Hierarchy Process : AHP)을 적용하였다. 선정 평가를 위한 자료는 네트워크 전문가들에 대한 설문조사와 현장 조사 방법으로 수집하였다. 그리고 제안된 LAN 스위치 평가 모형에 따라 선정 도구를 구현하고 적용 결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 LAN 스위치 선정을 위한 의사결정시 유용한 도구로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 아울러 컴퓨터 네트워크와 관련된 QoS 기반의 평가 및 선정을 위한 의사결정에 적용될 수 있을 것이다.

The manufacturing environment on which this research is focused is an FMS in which AGVs are used for material handling and each part type has one or more process plans. The research aims at developing a methodology whereby, given a part and volume mix for production during any production session, the best set of process plans including one plan per part type is selected and the best unidirectional AGV guidepath can be dynamically reconfigured in response to changes in parts and lot sizes combination. For the integrated PPS/FGD problem in which two functions of process plan selection (PPS) and flexible AGV guidepath design (FGD) are integrated, a zero-one integer programming model is developed. The integrated problem is decomposed into two subproblems, process plan selection given a directed AGV layout and AGV guidepath design with a fixed process plan per part type. A heuristic algorithm that alternately and iteratively solves these two subproblems is developed. The effectiveness of the heuristic algorithm is tested by solving various randomly generated sample problems and comparing the heuristic solutions with those obtained by an exact procedure. From the test results, the following conclusions are drawn: 1) For a reasonable size problem, the heuristic is very effective. 2) By integrating the two functions of PPS and FGD, a remarkable benefit in total production time for a given part and volume mix is gained.

FormFactors is one of the most critical design factors in early development of mobile phone, and proper selection of FormFactors is necessary for smoothness of product development and customer satisfaction. Especially, emergence of mobile convergence added so various functions besides its original call function that importance of selecting FormFactors has increased because multiform FormFactors are needed. However there is problem such as frequent change of decision making in existing process because established process picks out FormFactors sensibly and arbitrarily through idea pull and so forth. We proposed FormFactors selection process by Axiomatic Design, set approach method and block approach method for reasonable and systematical FormFactors selection. First of all, we set the purpose of mobile phone development, and it is examined by Axiomatic Design. FormFactors design matrix is deduced through this process, the numbers of axes and rails are proposed using set approach method, and then patterns of FormFactors are embodied by block approach method. Particularly process application was tried through case study of mobile phone development, and we ensured that new FormFactors can be presented to a designer by systematical verification if change of customer requirements occurs through our process.
