퍼지기반 Segment-Boost 방법을 통한 효과적인 얼굴인식 (Fuzzy-based Segment-Boost Method for Effective Face Recognition)

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost 방법을 소개하고, 이를 이용한 효과적인 얼굴인식 방법을 제안한다. 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost는 기존의 Segment-Boost가 갖고 있던 문제점과 성능의 한계요소들을 제거함으로써, 향상된 학습 성능뿐만 아니라 학습 성능의 안정성과 신뢰성을 보장하여 준다. 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost는 퍼지이론을 이용함으로써 서브벡터 선택개수를 최적화하고, 이를 통해 최상의 학습 성능이 유도될 수 있도록 설계되었다. 또한, 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost 내에서의 퍼지추론을 위해 본 논문에서 설계한 퍼지 제어기는 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost의 학습 성능을 측정하고, 최적화된 서브벡터 선택개수를 추론함으로써 서브벡터 선택개수를 제어한다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 본 논문에서 설계한 퍼지 제어기는 실제 최적의 서브벡터 선택개수에 매우 근접한 값을 추론하였다. 그 결과, 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost는 비교 실험한 boosting 방법보다 높은 얼굴인식률을 보여줌과 동시에 기존 Segment-Boost 만큼의 빠른 특징선택 속도를 유지하였고, 이러한 실험결과를 통해 퍼지기반 Segment-Boost의 학습 성능과 이를 이용한 특징선택 및 얼굴인식 방법에 있어서의 성능향상 및 안정성이 입증되었다.

Survival Rates and Risk Factors for Cephalad and L5-S1 Adjacent Segment Degeneration after L5 Floating Lumbar Fusion : A Minimum 2-Year Follow-Up

  • Objective : Although the L5-S1 has distinct structural features in comparison with other lumbar spine segments, not much is known about adjacent segment degeneration (ASD) at the L5-S1 segment. The aim of study was to compare the incidence and character of ASD of the cephalad and L5-S1 segments after L5 floating lumbar fusion. Methods : From 2005 to 2010, 115 patients who underwent L5 floating lumber fusion were investigated. The mean follow-up period was 46.1 months. The incidence of radiological and clinical ASD of the cephalad and the L5-S1 segments was compared using survival analysis. Risk factors affecting ASD were analyzed using a log rank test and the Cox proportional hazard model. Results : Radiological ASD of the L5-S1 segment had a statistically significant higher survival rate than that of the cephalad segment (p=0.001). However, clinical ASD of the L5-S1 segment was significantly lower survival rates than that of the cephalad segment (p=0.038). Risk factor analysis showed that disc degeneration of the cephalad segment and preoperative spinal stenosis of the L5-S1 segment were risk factors. Conclusion : In L5 floating fusion, radiological ASD was more common in the cephalad segment and clinical ASD was more common in the L5-S1 segment. At the L5-S1 segment, the degree of spinal stenosis appears to be the most influential risk factor in ASD incidences, unlike the cephalad segment.

  • Segmented block copolymer인 polyurethane은 열역학적으로 불친화성을 갖는 두 segment unit (Hard segment unit과 Soft segment unit)에 의해 미세 상분리 현상이 나타나며 그 결과 hard-segment-rich hard domain과 soft-segment-rich soft matrix 구조를 갖는다. 상온보다 높은 유리전이온도를 갖는 hard segment와 낮은 유리전이온도를 갖는 soft segment의 특성으로 인해 polyurethane은 열가소성 탄성체의 성질을 갖으며 두 성분의 조성비에 따라 넓은 범위의 역학적인 성질을 나타낸다.(중략)

복횡근 강화운동이 체간 신전-굴곡 시 척추 분절 운동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Transversus Abdominal Muscle Stabilization Exercise to Spinal Segment Motion on Trunk Flexion-Extension)

  • This research was performed to compare spinal segment motion angle between low back pain (LBP) group and painless group during trunk flexion-extension and to investigate the effect of transversus abdominis strengthening exercise on spinal segment motion angle in LBP group. Nine subjects with LBP and ten subjects without LBP participated. Transversus abdominis strengthening exercise was performed in LBP group for three weeks, and spinal segment motion angles were compared before and after the exercise performance. Spinal segment motion angles were measured both in sitting and standing position. Results were as followed: 1) Subjects' average age was 24.79 years, height was 167.84 cm, and weight was 59.95 kg. 2) Spinal segment motion angle of T10/l1 was significantly higher in LBP group compared with painless group (p<.05) in sitting position during trunk flexion-extension. 3) In sitting position, whereas entire lumbar segment motion angles were lower in LBP group compared with painless group (p<.05), angle of L4/5 was higher in LBP group compared with painless group (p<.05). 4) There was no significant difference in thoracic segment motion angle in standing position. 5) After three weeks of transversus abdominis strengthening exercise, thoracic segment motion angle increased both in sitting and standing position (p<.05). 6) In painless group, there was no significant difference in entire spinal segment motion angles in sitting and standing position (p>.05). When spinal segment motion angles were compared between sitting and standing position, there were slight differences. In sitting position, there was no difference in spinal segment motion angle between LBP group and painless group while hip joint motion angle and sacral inclination angle of LBP group was lower than those of painless group (p<.05). In standing position, lumbar segment motion angle was significantly lower in LBP group than that of painless group. Transversus abdominis strengthening exercise influenced thoracic segment motion angle more significantly than lumbar segment motion angle.

  • 열가소성 폴리우레탄 탄성체는 유리전이온도가 낮은 soft segment와 융점이 높은 hard segment로 이루어진 블록공중합체이다. 이들 두 블록은 서로 상분리가 일어남으로써 각각 의 domain을 형성하며, 그 결과 hard segment는 가교의 역할을 행함으로써 우수한 탄성을 발휘할 수 있다. 이의 물성은 hard segment 및 soft segment의 조성과 화학구조 및 이들의 상분리 정도에 따라 다양하게 되며 또한 이의 전이온도도 다르게 변화시킬 수 있다. (중략)

자라 위장관 내분비세포에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구 (An immunohistochemical study on the gastro-entero-endocrine cells of the pond tortoise (Amyda sinensis))

  • The gastrointestinal endocrine cells of the Pond tortoise, Amyda sinensis were studied immunohistochemically, and somatostatin-, gastrin/cholecystokinin(GAS/CCK)-, glucagon-, 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)-, insulin- and chromogranin-immunoreactive cells were revealed. The characteristic findings of the regional distribution and relative frequency of these immunoreative cells in the gastrointestinal tract of the Pond tortoise were as follows; A few somatostatin-immunoreactive cells were distributed from the segment I to the segment V. GAS/CCK-immunoreactive cells were found from the segment III to the segment VII. These cells were numerous in the segment III and a few in the other segments. A few glucagon-immunoreactive cells were found in the segment I and rare in the segment II. 5-HT-immunoreactive cells were found throughout the gastrointestinal tract. Numerous numbers of them were found in the segment I, while moderate or a few in the other segments. Insulin-immunoreactive cells were distributed from the segment II to the segment IX. Moderate numbers of them were found in the segment VIII and IX, while a few in the other segments. Chromogranin-immunoreactive cells were found from the segment III to the segment VI. Moderate numbers of these cells were found in the segment IV and V, while a few in the other segments. BPP-immunoreactive cells were not observed throughout the gastrointestinal tract of the Pond tortoise, Amyda sinensis.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 들어 본격적인 연구개발이 활성화되고 있는 무선 데이터 통신서비스를 근간으로 한 미세정보 감시 시스템(RMIMS: radio interfaced micro information monitoring system or MICROS: micro information and communication remote object-oriented system)에 대한 QoS(quality of service, ex: packet loss)를 보장하는 새로운 움직이는 다중 기지국(multiple IS-MMBS) 서비스 방법을 제안하였다. MMBS 서비스 지역에서 실시간 트래픽 형태의 RMIMS 터미널 응용서비스가 발생하거나 서비스 지역에 배치되는 RMIMS 터미널 수의 증가 또는 높은 전송대역폭을 요구하는 RMIMS 응용서비스 등으로 인하여 하나의 IS-MMBS 만으로는 기 서비스 중인 RMIMS 터미널 및 신규RMIMS 터미널에 대한 패킷 손실 여부 같은 QoS를 만족하는 서비스가 불가능한 경우가 발생한다. 이러한 경우에 다중 IS-MMBS을 이용하여 RMIMS 터미널의 QoS를 보장하는 MMBS 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 제안한 다중 IS-MMBS 서비스 모드는 RMIMS 클러스터링 방법과 MMBS 세그먼트(segment) 방법에 따라 터미널 분할방법(terminal segment method), 영역 분할방법(region segment method ), 응용서비스별 분할방법(application based segment method), 트래픽 타입별 분할방법(traffic type based method), 중첩 분할방법(overlapping segment method), 복합 분할방법(hybrid segment method)으로 분류 제안하였다.

MR diagnosis of cranial neuritis focusing on facial neuritis: Performance of contrast-enhanced 3D-FLAIR technique

  • Our purpose was to evaluate usefulness of the contrast-enhanced 3 dimensional fluid attenuated inversion recovery (3D-FLAIR) technique of half brain volume to diagnose the patients with facial neuritis based on segment-based analysis. We assessed retrospectively 17 consecutive patients who underwent brain MR imaging at 3 tesla for facial neuritis: 11 patients with idiopathic facial neuritis and 6 with herpes zoster oticus. Contrast enhanced 3D-FLAIR sequences of the half brain volume were analyzed and 3D T1-weighted sequence of the full brain volume were used as the base-line exam. Enhancement of the facial nerve was determined in each segment of 5 facial nerve segments by two radiologists. Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of enhancement of each segment were assessed. The authors experienced a prompt fuzzy CSF enhancement in the fundus of the internal auditory canal in patients with enhancement of the canalicular segment. Interobserver agreement of CE 3D-FLAIR was excellent(${\kappa}$-value 0.885). Sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of each segment are 1.0, 0.823, 0.912 in the canalicular segment; 0.118, 1.0, 0.559 in the labyrinthine segment; 0.823, 0.294, 0.559 in the anterior genu; 0.823, 0.529, 0.676 in the tympanic segment; 0.823, 0.235, 0.529 in the mastoid segment, respectively. In addition, those of prompt fuzzy enhancement were 0.647, 1.0, and 0.824, respectively. Incidence of prompt fuzzy enhancement with enhancement of the canalicular segment was 11 sites(55%): 6 (54.5%) in idiopathic facial neuritis and 5 (83.3%) in herpes zoster. Enhancement of the canalicular segment and prompt fuzzy enhancement on CE 3D-FLAIR was significantly correlated with occurrence of facial neuritis (p<0.001). CE 3D-FLAIR technique of the half brain volume is useful to evaluate the patients with facial neuritis as an adjunct sequence in addition to contrast-enhanced 3D T1-weighted sequence. On segment-based analysis, contrast enhancement of the canalicular segment is the most reliable. Prompt fuzzy enhancement is seen in not only herpes zoster, but in idiopathic facial neuritis.

구간분할 매칭방법과 선형판별분석기법을 융합한 온라인 서명 검증 (On-line Signature Verification using Segment Matching and LDA Method)

  • 기존의 참조서명과 입력서명을 비교하는 방법 중 분절 단위 비교 방법은 전역적 비교와 점 단위 비교 방법과 비교하여 우수한 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 분절 단위 비교 방법은 인식률과 직접적인 관계가 있는 분절의 불안정 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 분절단위 방법 외에 선형판별분석에 의한 매칭방법을 고려한 서명 검증 기법을 제안한다. 최종 검증단계에서 두 개의 독립모델을 효과적으로 융합할 수 있는 확률기반의 베이지안 분류기를 적용하였다 다양한 서명데이타를 이용하여 실험한 결과 제안된 기법은 분절단위 기반 구간분할매칭 기법에 비해 우수한 성능을 나타냈다.

  • PSC box girder bridges are built through the repetitive manufacturing process of concrete segment. However, during the initial segment manufacturing stage, design change may occur frequently due to design errors and interferences between components, resulting in the extension of segment manufacturing period. This paper aims to verify the manufacturing process of PSC box girder segment by 3D simulation technique. All the components of a segment were modelled and assembled by simulation technique and then, some design errors were found and revised appropriately to optimize the manufacturing process of segment. Consequently, 3D simulation technique would be promising to improve the quality of the segment and to reduce its manufacturing time and cost.
