  • With the Internet winning a huge popularity, there rise urgent problems which are related to Network Security Managements such as Protecting Network and Communication from un-authorized user. Accordingly, Using Security equipments have been common lately such as Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls and VPNs. Those systems. however, operate in individual system which are independent to me another. Their usage are so limited according to their vendors that they can not provide a corporate Security Solution. In this paper, we present a Hierarchical Security Management Model which can be applicable to a Network Security Policies consistently. We also propose a Policy Negotiation Mechanism and a Prototype which help us to manage Security Policies and Negotiations easier. The results of this research also can be one of the useful guides to developing a Security Policy Server or Security Techniques which can be useful in different environments. This study also shows that it is also possible to improve a Security Characteristics as a whole network and also to support Policy Associations among hosts using our mechanisms.

  • Recently, as security risks such as technology leaks continue to occur, the importance of research security is increasing. In particular, there is a lack of on-site focused guidelines for conducting practical security management activities for national research and development. Therefore, this study assigned grades to national research and development projects according to importance and designed research security management guidelines for each grade so that personnel related to the projects could perform research security activities efficiently and conveniently. First, the grading system of national research and development projects was divided into three stages according to importance and a candidate group of research security management guidelines was derived by simplifying them through an analysis of prior research on research security management items. Next, the validity of the grading system and management guideline candidates was verified through a focus group interview and research security management guidelines for each grade were prepared. This study is expected to contribute academically to future research security policies and to help establish an on-site research security management system.

  • IT environments such as IoT, SNS, BigData, Cloud computing are changing rapidly. These technologies add new technologies to some of existing technologies and increase the complexity of Information System. Accordingly, they require enhancing the security function for new IT services. Information Security Pre-inspection aims to assure stability and reliability for user and supplier of new IT services by proposing development stage which considers security from design phase. Existing 'Information Security Pre-inspection' (22 domains, 74 control items, 129 detail items) consist of 6 stage (Requirements Definition, Design, Training, Implementation, Test, Sustain). Pilot tests were executed for one of IT development companies to verify its effectiveness. Consequently, for some inspection items, some improvement requirements and reconstitution needs appeared. This paper conducts a study on activation of 'Information Security Pre-inspection' which aims to construct prevention system for new information system. As a result, an improved 'Information Security Pre-inspection' is suggested. This has 16 domains, 54 inspection items, 76 detail items which include some improvement requirements and reconstitution needs.

  • This study is composed of a convergence research design plan as the necessity of information security field dealing with human factors are raised. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the aspect of information security on the cognitive process related to security policy. The research method consisted of the cross-design of the availability dimension and the culture dimension, and the information security process was measured with information security awareness, response efficacy, compliance behavioral intention, and information security behavior. As a result of the study, the dimension of availability had a significant effect on response efficacy, and it was found that the influence of the case-based condition was greater than that of the statistics-based condition. The cultural dimension had a significant effect on information security awareness, response efficacy, compliance behavioral intention, and information security behavior, and the influence of the homogeneity condition was found to be greater than that of the diversity condition. The proposed research model was verified as a multiple mediation model reconstructed with measurement variables. In addition, the discussion describes the necessity of an information security strategy in consideration of individual factors and organizational characteristics.

  • The management and deposit of paper document costs are increased gradually. Specially, it is too expensive to safekeeping paper document in the warehouse. Also paper based document system is exposed in several security problems. Therefore, demands of transformation process from paper document into electronic ones are quietly needed. Electronic document repository system is one of the best solutions for solving paper based document system issues. Electronic document repository system can reduce overall costs and provides some advantages in comparison with paper based document system. But, electronic document repository system has no formal methodology for guarantee safeties. Therefore, we suggest a security mechanism for establish electronic document repository system. Suggested security methodology can help for design of more secure electronic document repository system.

  • An enlarging a scale of logical domain organizing Internet, security policy association among entities become complicated. Establishment and control of security policies for each system is a hard problem to solve because of the environment and composite factors with variable properties. In this paper, to solve this actual problems, we orgainze a hierarchical structure of network and than we design the structure of database to apply security policies for secure communication. This enables efficient management of security data and association of security policy by using designed data structure between different domain in hierarchical structure with make secure communication possible.

  • This study is to design a security game to proceed in the future based on the results of analyzing 105 research trends on gamification from 2018 to 2021 according to research period, research purpose, research subject, research topic, research method, game method, and emphasis factors. was trying to find an answer to Gamification showed a trend of increasing research related to 2021 due to the increase in the importance of non-face-to-face education in 2020, and there were not many studies targeting middle and high school students, colleges, and adults. Security-related research was a relatively incomplete and limited field, as only a small number of studies on raising awareness were conducted due to access restrictions. In the future, by referring to various research cases and statistics analyzed in this study, we will try to actually implement security education cases through gamification.

  • The IPSec is a basic security mechanism of the IPv6 protocol, which can guarantee an integrity and confidentiality of data that transmit between two corresponding hosts. Also, both data and communication subjects can be authenticated using the IPSec mechanism. However, it is difficult that the IPSec mechanism protects major important network from attacks which transmit mass abnormal IPSec traffic in session-configuration or communication phases. In this paper, we present a design of the security system that can effectively detect and defeat abnormal IPSec traffic, which is encrypted by the ESP extension header, using the IPSec Session and Configuration table without any decryption. This security system is closely based on a multi-tier attack mitigation mechanism which is based on network bandwidth management and aims to counteract DDoS attacks and DoS effects of worm activity.

  • This paper describes an efficient hardware design of WiBro security processor (WBSec) supporting for the security sub-layer of WiBro wireless internet system. The WBSec processor, which is based on AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) block cipher algorithm, performs data oncryption/decryption, authentication/integrity, and key encryption/decryption for packet data protection of wireless network. It carries out the modes of ECB, CTR, CBC, CCM and key wrap/unwrap with two AES cores working in parallel. In order to achieve an area-efficient implementation, two design techniques are considered; First, round transformation block within AES core is designed using a shared structure for encryption/decryption. Secondly, SubByte/InvSubByte blocks that require the largest hardware in AES core are implemented using field transformation technique. It results that the gate count of WBSec is reduced by about 25% compared with conventional LUT (Look-Up Table)-based design. The WBSec processor designed in Verilog-HDL has about 22,350 gates, and the estimated throughput is about 16-Mbps at key wrap mode and maximum 213-Mbps at CCM mode, thus it can be used for hardware design of WiBro security system.

  • Security Management System is a system which operates in the security control center for security control. All living things across the Internet in recent years, with the rapid increase in the subscriber base has increased the need for network security dramatically depending on yirueojim through web services, thus cyber security sheriff, I have a big issue to build a security management system, each agency and perform control tasks. But the security functional requirements for security management system would not specified exactly, in developing a security management system to build and design a situation that PP's needs require a lot of trouble. In this paper, we develop a Managed Security System Protection Profile for the security functional requirements specification of the security management system.
