A new morphed steganographic algorithm is proposed in this paper. Image security is a challenging problem these days. Steganography is a method of hiding secret data in cover media. The Least Significant Bit is a standard Steganographic method that has some limitations. The limitations are less capacity to hide data, poor stego image quality, and imperceptibility. The proposed algorithm focuses on these limitations. The morphing concept is being used for image steganography to overcome these limitations. The PSNR and standard deviation are considered as a measure to improve stego image quality and morphed image selection, respectively. The stego keys are generated during the morphed steganographic embedding and extracting process. Stego keys are used to embed and extract the secret image. The experimental results, which are based on hiding capacity and PSNR, are presented in this paper. Our research contributes towards creating an improved steganographic method using image morphing. The experimental result indicates that the proposed algorithm achieves an increase in hiding capacity, stego image quality, and imperceptibility. The experimental results were compared with state of the art steganographic methods.

Lin and Chan proposed a reversible secret image sharing scheme in 2010. The advantages of their scheme are as follows: the low distortion ratio, high embedding capacity of shadow images and usage of the reversible. However, their scheme has some problems. First, the number of participants is limited because of modulus prime number m. Second, the overflow can be occurred by additional operations (quantized value and the result value of polynomial) in the secret sharing procedure. Finally, if the coefficient of (t-1)th degree polynomial become zero, (t-1) participants can access secret data. In this paper, an improved reversible secret image sharing scheme which solves the problems of Lin and Chan's scheme while provides the low distortion ratio and high embedding capacity is proposed. The proposed scheme solves the problems that are a limit of a total number of participants, and occurrence of overflow by new polynomial operation over GF($2^8$). Also, it solve problem that the coefficient of (t-1)th degree polynomial become zero by fixed MSB 4-bit constant. In the experimental results, PSNR of their scheme is decreased with the increase of embedding capacity. However, even if the embedding capacity increase, PSNR value of about 45dB or more is maintained uniformly in the proposed scheme.

Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is rapidly developing as a stable and reliable quantum-resistant form of cryptography, throughout the industry. Similarly to existing cryptography, however, it does not prevent a third-party from using the secret key when third party obtains the secret key by deception, unauthorized sharing, or unauthorized proxying. The most effective alternative to preventing such illegal use is the utilization of biometrics during the generation of the secret key. In this paper, we propose a biometric-based secret key generation scheme for multivariate quadratic signature schemes, such as Rainbow. This prevents the secret key from being used by an unauthorized third party through biometric recognition. It also generates a shorter secret key by applying Principal Component Analysis (PCA)-based Confidence Interval Analysis (CIA) as a feature extraction method. This scheme's optimized implementation performed well at high speeds.

Steganography is a technique that uses hidden messages to prevent anyone apart from knowing the existence of a secret message, except the sender and trusted recipients. This paper applies 24 bit color image as cover medium. And a 24-bit color image has three components corresponding to red, green and blue. This paper proposes an image steganography method that uses Triple-A algorithm to hide the secret (Hangul) message by arbitrarily selecting the number of LSB bits and the color channel to be used. This paper divides the secret character into the chosung, jungsung and jongsung, and applies crossover, encryption and arbitrary insertion positions to enhance robustness and confidentiality. Experimental results of the proposed method show that insertion capacity and correlation are excellent and acceptable image quality level. Also, considering the image quality, it was confirmed that the size of LSB should be less than 2.

The evolution of modern imaging modalities, followed by the rapid development of computer technology has introduced many new features in the communication networks used in medical facilities. Since it is very important to keep patient's record accurately, the ability to exchange medical data securely over the communication network is essential for any medical information. In this paper, therefore, we introduce some problems which occur from digitizing medical images such as MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), CT (Computed Tomography), CR(Computed Radiography), etc., and then we propose a authentication mechanism for medical image verification using secret watermark images.

Traditional image steganography hides secret information by embedding, which inevitably leaves modification traces and is easy to be detected by steganography analysis tools. Since coverless steganography can effectively resist steganalysis, it has become a hotspot in information hiding research recently. Most coverless image steganography (CIS) methods are based on mapping rules, which not only exposes the vulnerability to geometric attacks, but also are less secure due to the revelation of mapping rules. To address the above issues, we introduced camouflage images for steganography instead of directly sending stego-image, which further improves the security performance and information hiding ability of steganography scheme. In particular, based on the different sub-features of stego-image and potential camouflage images, we try to find a larger similarity between them so as to achieve the reversible steganography. Specifically, based on the existing CIS mapping algorithm, we first can establish the correlation between stego-image and secret information and then transmit the camouflage images, which are obtained by reversible sub-feature retrieval algorithm. The received camouflage image can be used to reverse retrieve the stego-image in a public image database. Finally, we can use the same mapping rules to restore secret information. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the better robustness and security of the proposed approach in comparison to state-of-art CIS methods, especially in the robustness of geometric attacks.
Recently, Hou and others introduced a (2, n) block-based progressive visual cryptographic scheme (BPVCS) in which image blocks can be gradually recovered step by step. In Hou and others' (2, n)-BPVCS, a secret image is subdivided into n non-overlapping image blocks. When t ($2{\leq}t{\leq} n$) participants stack their shadow images, all the image blocks associated with these t participants will be recovered. However, Hou and others' scheme is only a simple 2-out-of-n case. In this paper, we discuss a general (k, n)-BPVCS for any k and n. Our main contribution is to give two constructions (Construction 1 and Construction 2) of this general (k, n)-BPVCS. Also, we theoretically prove that both constructions satisfy a threshold property and progressive recovery of the proposed (k, n)-BPVCS. For k = 2, Construction 1 is reduced to Hou and others' (2, n)-BPVCS.

In general, if a secret of company is owned by a person, the secret is the most vulnerable to attack of hacking. Secret sharing is a solution to solve such a problem. To share the secret to many people not one, it is possible to restore secret when the secret is being stolen by someone. That is, secret sharing, a strong method, was proposed to keep secret information from the robbery. Until now, most secret sharing schemes were based on spatial domain. The hidden data based on spatial domain is easily deleted since a transformation of digital formats (i.e., jpeg to bmp or vise versa). In this paper, we proposed our scheme for complement to resist various attack of cover image as distributing secrets based on DCT of JPEG using exclusive-or operation. The result of experiments proved that the proposed scheme restore original secret.
Steganography is a technique for secret data communication, which is not perceived by third person between a receiver and a transmitter. It has been developed for thousands of years for the transmission of military, diplomatic or business information. The development of digital media and communication has led to the development of steganography techniques in modern times. Technic of image steganography include the LSB, which fixes the number of embedded bits into a pixel, and PVD, which exploits the difference value in the neighboring pixel pairs. In the case of PVD image steganography, a large amount of information is embedded fluidly by difference value in neighboring pixel pairs and the designed range table. However, since the secret information in order is embedded, if an error of the number of embedded bits occurs in a certain pixel pair, all subsequent information will be destroyed. In this paper, we proposes the method, which improve the vulnerability of PVD property about external attack or various noise and extract secret information. Experimental process is comparison analysis about stego-image, which embedded various noise. PVD shows that it is not possible to preserve secret information at all about noise, but it was possible to robustly extract secret information for partial noise of stego-image in case of the proposed PVD image steganography with locally-fixed number of embedding bits.
This paper proposes a method which inserts watermark created by secret sharing method and then extracts it from watermarked image for the protection of copyrights of digital images. To do this, after image's DCT transform, once some values created by Key sharing method which used Lagrange interpolation are inserted into a frequency domain, one can recreate original watermark even if only k seeds are extracted among n of inserted seeds ($n{\geq}k$).
