A study on the secondary side eddy current distribution analysis of a short primary-short secondary single-sided LIM by the finite element method (유한요소법에 의한 단1차 단2차 편측식 선형 유도전동기의 2차측 와전류 분포 해석에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a short primary-short secondary single-sided LIM which is used as a driving source for automatic conveyor system, is selected as a analysis model. And with a method for analyzing eddy current distribution and thrust force which are produced according to the relative position of primary and secondary, FEM in which current vector potential is introduced is adopted. Also, analysis results are compared with experimental results, so propriety of this at study is proved.

  • This paper describes the effect of secondary surges entering low voltage side on the primary winding of pole transformers. After having connected the secondary winding by 4 different methods, surge voltages were applied to the low voltage side, and voltage waveforms were measured at a surge applied point and a high voltage bushing terminal. The measured voltages were compared by the waveform, magnitude and damping characteristics with each connection. As a result, the voltage waveforms induced by the secondary surges were different one another with each connection, especially, the conventional connecting method for 2 voltage sources was far different from the present method supplying only 1 voltage source in shape of the voltage waveform.

  • This paper investigates a novel speed sensorless control method of I.M considering the secondary resistance identification based on the transientless torque control technique. Especially, this paper aimed at the identification of the secondary resistance simultaneously with speed estimation superposing of sinusoidal flux wave to a constant flux value. Furthermore, the secondary flux with some frequency is controlled independently on torque control. The proposed speed estimation method is derived from a motor circuit equation theoretically and also it can be conducted easily by detecting primary motor currents and primary voltage commands at every sampling time. Some numerical simulations with the assumption of using a pulse width modulation(PWM) voltage source inverter are performed to verify the proposed method.

  • Speed control without speed sensor is expected strongly to progress reliability, simplicity and cost performance of I.M and to expand its application part. An Assessment of the Secondary Neutron Dose in the Passive Scattering Proton Beam Facility of the National Cancer Center

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the additional neutron effective dose during passive scattering proton therapy. Monte Carlo code (Monte Carlo N-Particle 6) simulation was conducted based on a precise modeling of the National Cancer Center's proton therapy facility. A three-dimensional neutron effective dose profile of the interior of the treatment room was acquired via a computer simulation of the 217.8-MeV proton beam. Measurements were taken with a $^3He$ neutron detector to support the simulation results, which were lower than the simulation results by 16% on average. The secondary photon dose was about 0.8% of the neutron dose. The dominant neutron source was deduced based on flux calculation. The secondary neutron effective dose per proton absorbed dose ranged from $4.942{\pm}0.031mSv/Gy$ at the end of the field to $0.324{\pm}0.006mSv/Gy$ at 150 cm in axial distance.

  • In this paper, a short primary-short secondary single-sided linear induction motor which is used as the driving source for an automatic conveyor system, is selected as an analysis model. The finite element method in which the current vector potential is introduced is adopted to analyze the eddy current distribution and thrust force which are produced according to the relative position of the primary and the secondary. Also, the analysis results are compared with experimental ones, to show the propriety of this model.

  • A new method for synthesizing the tetrazole derivatives from secondary amines through cyanation/tetrazolation has been developed. Trichloroacetonitrile is used as the cyano source to synthesize N-nitrile instead of highly toxic and expensive cyanogen bromide. In this protocol, the reaction of secondary amines with various substituents proceed smoothly, and the desired tetrazole derivatives are obtained directly in fair to high yields without isolation of intermediate cyanamides.

  • The electronic products such as laptop PC, cellular phone, robots and etc. need the DC power source. Recently, the secondary battery is frequently used as the portable DC power source and it needs forming process. In this paper, we proposed the bidirectional converter that the battery can be charged with high power factor and the discharged energy is regenerated into AC power source. In the charging mode, the converter acts as the boost rectifier. And the AC input current is controlled in phase with the AC input voltage. As a result, the power factor is improved nearly to unity. In the discharging mode, the DC power of battery wasted in resistor is regenerated to the AC bus line. Finally, the validity of the proposed bidirectional converter is verified by computer simulations and experimentation.

  • Today, many studies are progressed about source of vibration oscillator in reinforcement concrete structures. Source of vibration oscillator is load when it is happen from walking inhabitant. It is transmitted to another inhabitant through reinforcement concrete plate, and it is type of elastic wave. Those descriptions are ram wave and primary wave, secondary wave, and the are through the surface and inside plate. Analysis studies of those waves are used to piezoelectric materials. But, they are difficult to 3 axial type of transmitting elastic wave in concrete element. In this study, a fundamental study for source estimations of vibration oscillator using micro accelerometer are discussed.
