Objectives The purpose of this study is to figure out the recent trend of the treatment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by comparing Korean and Chinese clinical studies. Methods National Digital Science Library (NDSL), Oriental medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS) and Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal (KTKP) were used to search Korean studies which were published from January, 2011 to May, 2017. Also Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang data were used to search Chinese studies which were published from the same period. Key words of 'Autism' and 'Autism spectrum disorder' were used. Results 3 Korean studies and 21 Chinese studies were selected and analyzed to find out the most commonly used diagnostic criteria, treatments, including herbal medicine and acupuncture, and treatment assessment procedures. Conclusions As a result of comparing Korean and Chinese clinical studies for the treatment of ASD, both Korean and Chinese medicine treatments showed their effectiveness. However, there were some differences between two countries' clinical trends. In order for this study to be helpful, more highly evidenced clinical studies should be followed.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the treatment and treatment's effect for seizures disease in children by reviewing Korean clinical studies. Methods 13 articles which were published from August, 2002 to August, 2016 were obtained from the National discovery for science leader (NDSL), Research information sharing service (RISS), Google Scholar, and Oriental medicine advanced searching integrated system (OASIS) by using keyword 'Seizure', 'Convulsion', and 'Epilepsy'. Results Most of the study cases were with epilepsy children. The most frequently used herbal medicine was Gwakhyangjeonggi-san gami, and the most commonly used acupoints were LI4 and LR3. Treatment periods range from 13 days to 14 months, and all of the seizures were completely cured or relieved after the treatments. Conclusions This study shows that there are common symptoms and treatments for seizures in children. The reported different treatments can be used in primary medical care. Developing guideline standards of the seizure treatments can be possible with further studies.

Objectives The goal for this study is to find out the recent trends of the Korean medicine treatment on children and adolescents' somatic symptom and related disorder by reviewing case studies. Methods We found case study reports relevant to 'Korean medicine treatment on somatic symptom and related disorder' through Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS), National Discovery for Science Leader (NDSL) and Research Information Sharing Service (RISS). The age of the patients was limited to under 20. Results All reported articles showed that the treatments were selected based on both emotional problems and physical symptoms. Herbal medicine was the most commonly used method, and the other methods including acupuncture and psychotherapy were also used. Conclusions This study shows that the common Korean medicine treatment can be widely used for children and adolescents' somatic symptom and related disorder. Further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatments, and to develop guidelines for the treatment.

Cloud computing has become a new paradigm by enabling on-demand provisioning of applications, platforms or computing resources for clients. Workflow scheduling has always been treated as one of the most challenging problems in clouds. Commercial clouds have been widely used in scientific research, such as biology, astronomy and weather forecasting. Certainly, it is very important for a cloud service provider to pursue the profits for the commercial essence of clouds. This is also significantly important for the case of providing services to workflow tasks. In this paper, we address the issues of workflow scheduling in commercial clouds. This work takes the communication into account, which has always been ignored. And then, a topology-based workflow-scheduling algorithm named Resource Auction Algorithm (REAL) is proposed in the objective of getting more profits. The algorithm gives a good performance on searching for the optimum schedule for a sample workflow. Also, we find that there exists a certain resource amount, which gets the most profits to help us get more enthusiasm for further developing the research. Experimental results demonstrate that the analysis of the strategies for most profits is reasonable, and REAL gives a good performance on efficiently getting an optimized scheme with low computing complexity.

The Internet today is teemed with not only text data but also other media such as sound, still and moving images in a variety of formats. Unlike text, however, that can be retrieved easily with the help of numerous search engines, there has been few way to access data of other media unless the exact location or the URL is known. Multimedia data in the WWW are contained in or linked via anchors in the hyper-documents. They can most reliably be retrieved by analyzing the binary data content, which is far from being practical yet by the current state of the art. Instead we present another technique of searching based on textual descriptions which are found at or around the multimedia objects. The textual description used in this research includes file name (URL), anchor text and its context, alternative descriptions found in ALT HTML tage. These are actually the clues assumedly relevant to the contents. Although not without a possibility of missing or misinterpreting images and sounds, the description-based search is highly practical in terms of computation. The prototype search engine will soon be deployed to the public service through the prestige search engine, InfoDetective, in Korea.

As the medical environment field has been facilitated by the rapid development of the information technologies and ubiquitous healthcare service based on network, the exchange of medical information between hospitals become more and more important. However, although most electrocardiograph vendors have provided digital modalities and their ECG data management systems, these were proprietary and not compatible with each other due to multiplicity of vendor specific formats and lack of open ECG data standards. Therefore, we aim to design and develop the ECG management system for archiving, saving, searching, viewing and transferring ECG data and the diagnostic reports. And the system is based on Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) developed by HL7 and DICOM Waveform Standard for the exchange of the structured diagnostic reports and the transfer of ECG data.

The Recommender systems help users to find and evaluate items of interest. Such systems have become powerful tools in the domains from electronic commerce to digital libraries and knowledge management. Sellers can recommend products to customers with the prediction of future buying behavior on the basis of the consumer's population statistics and past selling behavior. In this paper, we are describing the design and the development of personalization recommender system which increases satisfaction level of customers by searching products to reflect the pattern and propensity of customers properly. The suggested system supplies the real-time analysis service to predict the customers purchase situation by applying the association rule of the data mining.

The progression of broadcasting technology changed the previous analogue broadcasting system into digital, which in result allowed several broadcasting programs to be transmitted as one stream by multiplexing. This multi channel environment interferes with audience to choose the program they want. EPG acts as supporter in this multi channel environment. The existing EPG system is limited in providing searching function with title, genre, date and Wish-list in multi-media environment. Thus, this thesis proposes new type EPG using PSIP information modification to respond with the change of broadcasting market. This type of EPG can be applied to several kinds of broadcasting systems.

Digital convergence, defined as the creative fusion of once-independent technologies and service, is getting more attention recently. Interruptions among internal functions happen frequently in digital convergence products because many functions that were in separate products are merged into a single product. Multi-tasking and multi-modality are two distinctive features of interruption in digital convergence products, but their impacts to the user have not been investigated yet. This study conducted a controlled experiment to investigate the impacts of multi-tasking and multi-modality on the subjective satisfaction and objective performance of digital convergent products. The study results indicate that multi-tasking and multi-modality have substantial effects individually as well as together. The paper ends with practical and theoretical implications of study results as well as research limits and future research.
