The paper proposed CBIRS/EFI with contents based search technique using edge feature information of the object from image information of the object which is uncertain. In order to search specially efficiently case of partial image information of the object, we used the search technique which extracts outline information and color information in feature information of object. In order to experiment this, we extracted side edge feature information of the vehicle for feature information of the object after capture the car image of the underground garage. This is the system which applies a contents base search by the result which analyzes the image which extracts a feature, an original image to search and a last similar measurement result. This system compared in FE-CBIRS systems which are an existing feature extraction contents base image retrieval system and the function which improves the accuracy and an effectiveness of search rate was complemented. The performance appraisal of CBIRS/EFI systems applied edge extraction feature information and color information of the cars. And we compared a color feature search time, a shape characteristic search time and a search rate from the process which searches area feature information. We extracted the case 91.84% of car edge feature extraction rate. And a average search time of CBIRS/EFI is showing a difference of average 0.4-0.9 seconds than FE-CBIRS from vehicle. color search time, shape characteristic search time and similar search time. So, it was proven with the fact that is excellent.
In this paper, we propose a two step Binary Exponential search algorithm for rapid acquisition time of UWB(Ultra Wide Band) signal on UWB communication systems. Previous proposed timing acquisition algorithm is searching whole frame that consist of the number of n Bins to terminate search, however this paper proposed two step Binary Exponential search algorithm can achieve remarkable reduction of UWB signal acquisition time as limiting search group. Proposed search algorithm is consisting of search group establishment step and Bit Reversing of search group establishment step.

Web crawlers are fundamental programs which iteratively download web pages by following links of web pages starting from a small set of initial URLs. Previously several web crawling orderings have been proposed to crawl popular web pages in preference to other pages, but some graph search techniques whose characteristics and efficient implementations had been studied in graph theory community have not been applied yet for web crawling orderings. In this paper we consider various graph search techniques including lexicographic breadth-first search, lexicographic depth-first search and maximum cardinality search as well as well-known breadth-first search and depth-first search, and then choose effective web crawling orderings which have linear time complexity and crawl popular pages early. Especially, for maximum cardinality search and lexicographic breadth-first search whose implementations are non-trivial, we propose linear-time web crawling orderings by applying the partition refinement method. Experimental results show that maximum cardinality search has desirable properties in both time complexity and the quality of crawled pages.
This paper proposes a reduction scheme for codebook search time in the adaptive codebook using wavelet transformed coefficients. In a CELP coder, pitch estimation with a combined open loop and closed loop search in adaptive codebook needs a lengthy search. More precisely, the pitch search using autocorrelation function over all possible ranges has been shown inefficient compared to the consuming time. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive codebook search algorithm which ensures the same position for the pitch with maximum wavelet coefficient over various scaling factors in Dyadic wavelet transform. A new adaptive codebook search algorithm reduces 25% conventional search time with almost the same quality of speech.

Three-dimensional video coding is one of the main challenges restricting the widespread applications of 3D video and free viewpoint video. In this paper, a novel fractal coding algorithm with motion-vector-field-based motion estimation for depth map sequence is proposed. We firstly add pre-search restriction to rule the improper domain blocks out of the matching search process so that the number of blocks involved in the search process can be restricted to a smaller size. Some improvements for motion estimation including initial search point prediction, threshold transition condition and early termination condition are made based on the feature of fractal coding. The motion-vector-field-based adaptive hexagon search algorithm on the basis of center-biased distribution characteristics of depth motion vector is proposed to accelerate the search. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reach optimum levels of quality and save the coding time. The PSNR of synthesized view is increased by 0.56 dB with 36.97% bit rate decrease on average compared with H.264 Full Search. And the depth encoding time is saved by up to 66.47%. Moreover, the proposed fractal depth map sequence codec outperforms the recent alternative codecs by improving the H.264/AVC, especially in much bitrate saving and encoding time reduction.

With the advent of personalized search engines, a myriad of approaches came into practice. With social media emergence the personalization was extended to different level. The main reason for this preference of personalized engine over traditional search was need of accurate and precise results. Due to paucity of time and patience users didn't want to surf several pages to find the result that suits them most. Personalized search engines could solve this problem effectively by understanding user through profiles and histories and thus diminishing uncertainty and ambiguity. But since several layers of personalization were added to basic search, the response time and resource requirement (for profile storage) increased manifold. So it's time to focus on optimizing the layered architectures of personalization. The paper presents a layout of the multi agent based personalized search engine that works on histories and profiles. Further to store the huge amount of data, distributed database is used at its core, so high availability, scaling, and geographic distribution are built in and easy to use. Initially results are retrieved using traditional search engine, after applying layer of personalization the results are provided to user. MongoDB is used to store profiles in flexible form thus improving the performance of the engine. Further Weighted Sum model is used to rank the pages in personalization layer.
Most of previous work on indexing and searching time series focused on the similarity matching and retrieval of one-attribute time series. However, multimedia databases such as music, video need to handle the similarity search in multi-attribute time series. The limitation of the current similarity models for multi-attribute sequences is that there is no consideration for attributes' sequences. The multi-attribute sequences are composed of several attributes' sequences. Since the users may want to find the similar patterns considering attributes's sequences, it is more appropriate to consider the similarity between two multi-attribute sequences in the viewpoint of attributes' sequences. In this paper, we propose the similarity search method based on attributes's sequences in multi-attribute time series databases. The proposed method can efficiently reduce the search space and guarantees no false dismissals. In addition, we give preliminary experimental results to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
This study is about the visual appreciation by sex with the analysis of time range of observing data which was got through observation experiment with the space of lobby in hospitals. The observation data of the subjects who observed the space include the frequency and time, through which the process of visual appreciation could be evaluated with the definition of the frequency and the time of observation. First, the fact that men had higher frequency of observation than women means the former had more movement than the latter, and another fact of their fewer times can be understood as the time of their staying was shorter. That is, even though the men had more movements of sight, they showed the feature of staying shorter. Second, the rate high and low of observation frequency and times made it possible for observation characteristics to be defined as 'intensive search' 'active search' 'fixed concentration' and 'search wandering.' The definition of understanding this process of visual appreciation can be available for a frame of effective analysis of observation characteristics according to the passage of time. Third, the intense search is the case of 'high frequency' having the feature of high visual appreciation owing to the active visual actions for acquiring information. Men were found to have more intense search which decreased gradually as time passed, while women showed the feature of many times of intense search. Fourth, it was found that with many observation data in a certain range of time the subjects had fixed concentration, where women were found to have repetitive fixed concentration along with the change of observation time while men were seen to have more observation tendency for fixed concentration. Fifth, at the cross tabulation of frequency and times, men had the feature of dispersed visual appreciation while women had more distinction between fixation and movement, which revealed that there is surely the difference between men and women in the process of visual appreciation.

In this paper, a decimation-in-time search direction algorithm for displacement prediction of moving object is proposed. The initialization of the proposed algorithm for moving direction prediction is performed by detecting moving objects at sequential frames and by obtaining a moving angle and a moving distance. A moving direction of the moving object at current frame is obtained by applying the decimation-in-time search direction mask. The decimation-in-tine search direction mask is that the moving object is detected by thinning out frames among the sequential frames, and the moving direction of the moving object is predicted by the search mask which is decided by obtaining the moving angle of the moving object in the 8 directions. to examine the propriety of the proposed algorithm, velocities of a driving car are measured and tracked, and to evaluate the efficiency, the proposed algorithm is compared to the full search algorithm. The evaluated results show that the number of displacement search times is reduced up to 91.8$\%$ on the average in the proposed algorithm, and the processing time of the tracking is 32.1ms on the average.
In this paper, we propose an optimal path search algorithm between each node and midpoint that applies the time weighting. Services for using a location of mid point usually provide a mid point location-based on the location of users. There is a problem that is not efficient in terms of time because a location-based search method is only considered for location. To solve the problem of the existing location-based search method, the proposed algorithm sets the weights between each node and midpoint by reflecting user's location information and required time. Then, by utilizing that, it is possible to search for an optimum path. In addition, to increase the efficiency of the search, it ensures high accuracy by setting weights adaptively to the information given. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is able to find the optimal path to the midpoint compared with the existing method.
