  • This paper describes the solution method of Team AIRLAB used to participate in the League of Robot Runners Competition which tackles the problem of Lifelong Multi-agent Pathfinding (MAPF). In lifelong MAPF, multiple agents are tasked to navigate to their respective goal locations where new goals are consecutively revealed once they reach initial goals. The agents need to avoid collisions and deadlock situations while they navigate to perform tasks. Our method consists of (i) Puzzle Heuristics, (ii) MAPF-LNS2, and (iii) RHCR. The Puzzle Heuristics is our own algorithm that generates a compact heuristic table contributing to reduce memory consumption and computation time. MAPF-LNS2 and RHCR are state-of-the-art algorithms for MAPF. By combining these three algorithms, our method can improve the efficiency of paths for all agents significantly.

  • Paper strengthening system of PVAm (polyvinylamine) has been used with strong negative charge polymer for electrostatic neutralization due to strong positive charge of PVAm. Recently, because of the controversy caused by the possibility of remaining PAM monomers in white water, a search for paper strength agent that can substitute for PAM was suggested. Therefore, this study was carried out to evaluate a dry strength polymer of PVAm. Starch and CMC were used as a substitute for PAM. The dual polymer system of PVAm and anionic charge control agent such as anionic starch or CMC (carboxy methyl cellulose) were found to be very effective as strength agent compared to the chemicals based on acrylamide.

  • 본 연구는 웹브라우저의 즐겨찾기를 이용하여 교육정보를 공유하기 위한 에이전트 시스템의 설계와 구현에 관한 내용이다. 즐겨찾기를 효과적으로 공유하고 검색하기 위하여 DAML+OIL의 형태로 설계하였다. 제안된 시스템 구조는 CS기반의 P2P 방식을 이용하였다. 연구에서 제안된 에이전트는 즐겨찾기된 정보를 기초로 문서의 정확성 판단과 우선순위 기법에 의해 사용자에게 검색과정과 결과를 제시한 수 있다. 또한 에이전트가 Semantic Web환경에서 DAML을 통해 보다 지능적으로 교육정보를 공유하고 검색할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • In order to purchase a product cheaper, a lot of customers have been trying to search one or more marketplaces. Ever since the commercial use of the Internet, several types of marketplaces have been operating successfully on the Internet. Some of them are online shopping malls, auction markets, and group-buying markets. They have the price settlement mechanisms of their own. Online shopping malls where many stores are located support a customer to purchase the product that matches his/her requests such as price, function, design, and so forth. In online auction market, a customer can buy the product by making bids sequentially and competitively until a final price is reached. In online group-buying market, a customer can purchase the product by aggregating the orders from several buyers so that cheaper prices can be negotiated. The cheaper customers could purchase the same product item, the more satisfied they would be. However, it is very difficult for the customer to determine the marketplace to purchase, considering different kinds of marketplaces at the same time. Even though the purchasing price is cheapest in one marketplace, it is very difficult for customers to convince it the cheapest for all marketplaces. Therefore, rules and methods have been developed for purchase decision making in multiple marketplaces to reach the optimal purchase decision as a whole. They can maximize customer's utility and resolve the conflicts with other marketplaces through multi-agent negotiation.

  • Due to recent explosion of information available online, question- answering (Q&A) systems are becoming a compelling framework for finding relevant information in a variety of domains. Question-answering system is one of the best ways to introduce a novice customer to a new domain without making him/her to obtain prior knowledge of its overall structure improving search request with specific answer. However, the current web poses serious problem for finding specific answer for many overlapped meanings for the same questions or duplicate questions also retrieved answer for many overlapped meanings fer the same questions or duplicate questions also retrieved answer is slow due to enhanced network traffic, which leads to wastage of resource. In order to avoid wrong answer which occur due to above-mentioned problem we propose the system using ontology by RDF, RDFS and mobile agent based on JAVA. We also choose wireless internet based embedded device as our test bed for the system and apply the system in E-commerce information domain. The mobile agent provides agent routing with reduced network traffic, consequently helps us to minimize the elapsed time for answers and structured ontology based on our proposed algorithms sorts out the similarity between current and past question by comparing properties of classes.

  • Ship design requirements described in the building specification should be reflected in the design process. This paper identifies the configuration of requirements mentioned in the building specification using Ontology Representation Language (OWL). Ontology-based semantic search system specifies the requirement items. Through this extraction, building specifications mentioned for each entry are configured to the tree. Tracking requirements for ship design and a set of procedures to instruct is also used for the V model of systems engineering. The semantic search engine of robot agent and ontology can search the requirements specification document and extract the design information. Thereafter, design requirements for the tracking model that proposes the relationship between the associated BOM(bill of material) and product structure.

  • 웹 서비스의 위치와 컨텐츠에 대한 정보를 제공하는 UDDI 는 현재 IBM, Microsoft 그리고 SAP 에서 공용 UDDI 레지스트리 서비스 형태로 제공되고 있다. 기존의 UDDI 레지스트리 서비스는 웹 서비스 사용자 입장에서 볼 때 이용이 어렵고, 제공업체에 따른 UDDI 의 검색 도구와 방식의 차이로 인한 혼란이 있으며, 검색 효율도 만족스럽지 못한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 보완하기 위해 UDDI 레지스트리 서비스 중 검색을 위한 에이전트 개념 모델을 제안한다 UDDI 검색 에이전트는 사용자와 공용 UDDI 레지스트리 서비스 사이에 위치하며, UDDI 서비스 이용의 편의를 위해 사용자의 정보를 관리하는 UDDI 브라우저, 필요 시 검색 과정의 각 상황에 대한 정보 및 해결책을 제공하는 Help Desk, 사용자의 UDDI 레지스트리 검색 성향을 분석하는 패턴 분석기, 그리고 이전에 검색한 웹 서비스 정보 검색 경로를 기록한 Search Map으로 구성된다. 이 외에 Search Map을 작성하기 위한 Search Map Building Engine 또한 사용된다 이러한 UDDI 검색 에이전트 개념 모델의 구성요소들은 서로 메시지를 주고받으며 유기적으로 협력해, 사용자 입장에서 보다 더 쉽고, 용이하고, 효율적인 UDDI 검색 서비스를 제공한다.

  • 인터넷을 통한 온라인 구매에 소비자들은 현 탐색엔진 및 웹 구조의 한계와 의사결정 도구의 부족으로 많은 어려움을 겪는다. 이 논문은 인터넷 쇼핑의 상황에서 소비자가 결정해야 하는 의사결정 문제를 상정하고 지능형 에이전트 구축을 통하여 그 의사결정 과정을 돕는 의사결정의 틀을 제시한다. 이 에이전트는 의미 웹 환경에서 한정도메인 제약식 프로그래밍을 추론엔진으로 삼아 의사결정을 돕는다. 이를 통해 의미웹과 제약식 프로그래밍의 두 기술의 결합이 인터넷 쇼핑 시 소비자가 겪게 되는 어려움을 어떻게 해결하는지를 제시한다.

Development of a radiological emergency evacuation model using agent-based modeling

  • In order to mitigate the damage caused by accidents in nuclear power plants (NPPs), evacuation strategies are usually managed on the basis of off-site effects such as the diffusion of radioactive materials and evacuee traffic simulations. However, the interactive behavior between evacuees and the accident environment has a significant effect on the consequential gap. Agent-based modeling (ABM) is a method that can control and observe such interactions by establishing agents (i.e., the evacuees) and patches (i.e., the accident environments). In this paper, a radiological emergency evacuation model is constructed to realistically check the effectiveness of an evacuation strategy using NetLogo, an ABM toolbox. Geographic layers such as radiation sources, roads, buildings, and shelters were downloaded from an official geographic information system (GIS) of Korea, and were modified into respective patches. The dispersion model adopted from the puff equation was also modified to fit the patches on the geographic layer. The evacuees were defined as vehicle agents and a traffic model was implemented by combining the shortest path search (determined by an A * algorithm) and a traffic flow model incorporated in the Nagel-Schreckenberg cellular automata model. To evaluate the radiological harm to the evacuees due to the spread of radioactive materials, a simple exposure model was established to calculate the overlap fraction between the agents and the dispersion patches. This paper aims to demonstrate that the potential of ABM can handle disaster evacuation strategies more realistically than previous approaches.

Stackelberg Game between Multi-Leader and Multi-Follower for Detecting Black Hole and Warm Hole Attacks In WSN

  • Objective: • To detect black hole and warm hole attacks in wireless sensor networks. • To give a solution for energy depletion and security breach in wireless sensor networks. • To address the security problem using strategic decision support system. Methods: The proposed stackelberg game is used to make the spirited relations between multi leaders and multi followers. In this game, all cluster heads are acts as leaders, whereas agent nodes are acts as followers. The game is initially modeled as Quadratic Programming and also use backtracking search optimization algorithm for getting threshold value to determine the optimal strategies of both defender and attacker. Findings: To find optimal payoffs of multi leaders and multi followers are based on their utility functions. The attacks are easily detected based on some defined rules and optimum results of the game. Finally, the simulations are executed in matlab and the impacts of detection of black hole and warm hole attacks are also presented in this paper. Novelty: The novelty of this study is to considering the stackelberg game with backtracking search optimization algorithm (BSOA). BSOA is based on iterative process which tries to minimize the objective function. Thus we obtain the better optimization results than the earlier approaches.
