지하연료저장탱크의 부식손상 방지에 관한 연구(1) (바다모래에서 부식 손상) (Study on the Prevention of Corrosion Damage for Underground Fuel Stroage Tank(1) (Corrosion Damage under the Sea Sand))

  • 바다모래에 의해 뒷채움된 지하연료저장탱크용 연강재의 부식전류밀도, 개로전위, 전식거동 및 연간부식률에 관하여 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 습바다모래 중에서 비저항이 감소할수록 개로전위는 비전위화되고, 부식전류밀도는 높게 배류된다. 2) 습바다모래의 비저항이 감소할수록 인가전위 부가에 의한 부식전류밀도는 자연전위에서의 부식전류밀도보다 급격히 증가한다. 3) 습바다모래 중에서 비저항이 감소할수록 연간부식률은 선형적으로 증가함으로 지하연료저장탱크에 바다모래로 뒷채움하는 경우 습기가 유입하면 지하연료저장탱크의 부식성은 민감할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 5000 series aluminium alloys and austenitic stainless steels have excellent corrosion resistance and sufficient strength, which are widely used as materials for marine equipment and their parts in the marine environment. The corrosion characteristics of materials are important factors for selecting the appropriate material due to fluid component changes in the estuarine and coastal areas where seawater and fresh water are mixed. Therefore, for 5083 Al alloy, STS304 and STS316L widely used in the marine environment, anodic polarization experiments were performed to compare the corrosion damage characteristics of each material by three kinds of solutions of 100 % tap water, 50 % tap water+50 % natural seawater and 100 % natural seawater. As a result of the anodic polarization experiments, aluminum alloy (5083) caused locally corrosion on the surface in the tap water, and corrosion damage occurred all over the surface when the seawater was included. Stainless steels (STS304 and STS316L) presented almost no corrosion damage in tap water, but they grew pitting corrosion damage with increasing seawater concentration. STS316L showed better corrosion resistance than STS304.

플라이애시를 혼입한 수중불분리성 콘크리트의 내 황산염에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Sulfate Resistance of Fly Ash Antiwashout Underwater Concrete)

  • This paper describes the effects of fly ash replacement on the sulfate resistance of antiwashout underwater concrete which was replaced cement by fly ash from 0% to 50%. and the experimental works were performed on sulfate acceleration test of 5%$Na_2SO_4$ solution to find out the variance of length and weight of specimens. The experimental result shows that the length of specimens of antiwashout underwater concrete age at 180day was highly increased compare with normal concrete by acceleration test. but the mixture which was replaced 50% of fly ash shows reduction of the expansion, weight various, compare with normal concrete specimen. accordingly by using fly ash as admixture in antiwashout underwater concrete in sea environment, it will makes more durable for the attacks of sulfate by sea water.

  • 해수환경하의 콘크리트 구조물은 동결융해의 반복에 의한 물리적인 침식과 해수중에 용존하는 각종의 이온들의 침투로 인한 화학적 침식에 의해 현저한 성능저하현상을 나타내는 것으로 알려져있다. 본 연구는 포졸란계 혼합재인 플라이 애쉬, 슬래그, 슬리카 흄과 폴리머계 혼합재인 Ethylene Vinyl Acetate(EVA), Styrene-Butadiene Rubber(SBR)를 사용하여 제조한 콘크리트 경화체의 해수환 경하에서 동결융해 저항성에 미치는 혼합재의 종류 및 첨가량의 영향, W/C의 영향을 비교 검토한 실험적 연구이다. 콘크리트의 동결융해 저항성을 위해서는 공기연행이 필수적이며, 공기연행시킨 경우 W/C가 낮을수록 동결융해 저항성이 우수하였다. 해수중에서의 동결융해 저항성은 슬래그분말을 첨가할 때 우수하였으며, 폴리머계 혼합재에서는 EVA가 우수한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • Diffusion of Cl- ion in hardened cement paste with slag and siliceous powder such as silica fume and white carbon was investigated. The addition of admixtures reduces the content of Ca(OH)2, which is the main cause of pore formation by corrosive action of sea-water. The addition of admixtures makes the hardened cement paste dense, thereby restricting the diffusion of Cl- ion and improving the resistance to sea-water. Apparence diffusion coefficient of Cl- ion in hardened ordinary portland cement paste was 3.7${\times}$10-8$\textrm{cm}^2$/sec, while that for the hardened cement paste with the admixture was 1.2∼3.2${\times}$10-8$\textrm{cm}^2$/sec.

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the bond strength properties of antiwashout underwater concrete. The fine aggregate(river sand, blended sand (river sand : sea sand = 1 : 1), condition of cast and cure(sea water, fresh water), and compressive strength of proportion(210kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ ~ 330kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$) were chosen as the experimental parameters. The experimental results show that the underwater segregation resistance was increased, but flowability (slump flow) and air contents were decreased as the compressive strength of proportion increased. Bond strength of antiwashout underwater concrete was similar to plain concrete. From this study, rational analytic formula for the modulus of rupture and bond stress are to be from compressive strength of concrete.

  • The first membrane technology applied in the Japanese industry was a. electro-dialysis(ED) process using ion-exchange meabranes. These membranes were first developed in early 50ties and the Japanese government decided to use this method for concentration of sea water to produce salt, which was then produced by solar evaporation. This development program started from 1960 by the Japan monopoly Coop. (at that time). To apply ED process for sea-water concentrat ion it was necessary to develop ion-exchange membranes having very low electric resistance to avoid energy loss due to Joule heat, and those having selectivity to permeate single valent ions only to avoid scale formation in the ED stacks. These Japanese companies, Asahi Glass, Asahi Chemical and Tokuyama Soda, have succeeded to develop such membranes, and until 1971 all of the seven salt manufacturing companies had adopted ED for production of food salt.

  • Ti-Al-Cr-N thin layer was prepared on Fe-Si thin sheet by arc ion plating to improve corrosion and mechanical properties. The compositions ratios of Fe : Cr : Al : Ti : Si : N of the thin layers at $500^{\circ}C$ was 1.24 : 0.56 : 36.82 : 32.72 : 0.59 : 28.07 [wt.%], respectively. The higher arc ion plating temperature was, the higher corrosion resistance and nano-hardness were observed due to chromium content. Corrosion potential and corrosion rate in artificial sea water of the coating layer were in the range of $-39mV_{SHE}$ and $2mA/cm^2$, respectively. Passivity was not observed in the artificial sea water. Nano-hardnesses of the thin layers was increased by adding Cr from 23.6 to 25.8 [GPa]. The friction coefficients and fatigue limits of the layers were 0.388, 0.031, respectively.

  • ORV which vaporizes LNG to NG is consisted of tube and header whose substrate is aluminum alloy. The corrosion of the tube is very severe because of sea water being used as the heating source. In this research to protect ORV substrate material, the corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys was investigated for the sacrificial role of Al-Zn alloy for ORV tubes. The electrochemical behavior of aluminum alloys in sea water was investigated. The corrosion behavior of thermally-sprayed and cladded samples were compared through salt spray tests. Al-Zn alloy can act as a sacrificial anode and cladded Al-Zn alloy has a better corrosion resistance than that of thermally sprayed one. The galvanic effect of Al-Zn to substrate material was conformed from scratched sample tests.

  • 본 연구는 해수에 존재하는 다량의 칼슘 및 마그네슘 이온을 전기적으로 강판에 전착하는 전착시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 최종적인 목표는 해수를 이용하여 전착한 구조용 철근의 개발이며, 본 연구는 1단계 연구로서 고내구성 철근개발을 위한 전착시스템 개발에 목적을 두었다. 다양한 전극과 온도, 전류밀도, 코팅시간 등을 변수로 하고 실험을 수행하여 철근 코팅을 위한 최적의 조건을 도출하였다. 탄산칼슘($CaCO_3$)과 수산화마그네슘($Mg(OH)_2$)으로 구성된 코팅층은 SEM, EDS, XRD 등을 통하여 성분을 파악하였으며, 자연전위 및 전류밀도를 분석하여 기존의 철보다 부식에 대하여 매우 안전함을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 성과를 이용하여 고내구성 강재의 구조적, 내구적 실험에 대한 토의가 2차 연구에서 추가적으로 수행될 것이다.
