성별에 따른 초등학생의 과학 선호도 차이와 과학 선호도에 영향을 주는 요인 분석 (An Analysis of Preferences for Science and the Role Gender Differences Plays in Determining Preferences for It Amongst Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the differences (if any) and the causes of preferences for science between elementary school boys and girls. Another purpose of this study is to find out when such differences in preference begin and what their causes we. Fourth, fifth and sixth grades from elementary school A in Gyeongg-gi Province participated twice in research surveys on preference levels in science with education, career course and personal experience taken into account. A total of 997 survey responses, (excluding no responses or half-hearted ones) were selected for comparative analysis. The analysis methods used were frequency analysis, cross stabs and one-way ANOVA Analysis which depended on survey items. The results of this study show that preference levels in science are 61.7% and the difference of preference levels in science between boys and girls are 31.2% and 30.5% with boys showing higher percentages in science preference levels than girls(p<.01). Moreover, the results also show that the point in which changes in preference level in science emerges is from fifth and sixth grades. Therefore, the gender difference in preference levels in science begins with fifth grade students, with science being slightly more favored by boys. finally, the main causes in gender differences seems to be the experiment participants' levels, scientific education textbook preference level, interests in science class, and plans for the future that are related to field of science. Among these causes, interests level in science class and preference levels in science are closely related.

초등학생의 성격특성과 과학적 태도 분석과 이들의 상관관계 연구 (An Analysis of Elementary School Students과 Personality, Scientific Attitude and Correlation Analysis of between Them)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary school students' personality, scientific attitude and to find the correlation between elementary school students' personality and scientific attitude. To determine this, the distribution of sixth graders' personality and scientific attitude was examined and correlation between the lower categories of each one was analyzed. The test tools and the subject were decided through the two preliminary examination, personality test and scientific attitude test were investigated appling to a total of 354 sixth-grade students at eight elementary schools in this study. The test results were analyzed with averages, standard deviations, correlations, ANOVA using SPSS/PC/sup +/. The major results of analysis are as follows. First, the distribution of scientific attitude proved that the average of boys' curiosity was higher than that of girls' curiosity, but girls' average was higher than boys' average in criticalness property, cooperation property, preparation property, continuation property and patience property. The distribution of upper group and lower group in personality properties revealed that the ratio of upper group was higher than that of lower group in activity property, social property, but the ratio of lower group was higher than that of upper group in responsibility and reflective property. Second, the socio-populational variables affecting 6th graders' personality' and science attitude were a sex, a sibling order. The cognition variables affecting 6th graders' personality and science attitude were preference, extent of usability to practical life and interest of science. Third, analyzing the correlation between lower categories of personality and lower categories of science attitude revealed that activity property of personality rather highly correlated to willingness property, critical property at .399(p<.01), .351(p<.01) respectively. and that consideration property of personality highly correlated to curiosity, critical property at .451 (p<.01), .415(p<.01) respectively.

과학 학습시 중.고등학생들이 선호하는 동기 유형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preferable Motivation Types in Science Learning of the Secondary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the preferable motivation types in science-learning and to find out the relationship between these types and scientific achievement of students in the secondary school. The subjects of the study were the second grade 581 students sampled by random cluster sampling method in three middle schools and three high schools. Three motivation types in science learning were analyzed, and they were named to task-orientation, ego-orientation and work-avoidance. From our results, secondary school students preferred task-orientation and work-avoidance to ego-orientation. In the case of task-orientation, high school students, especially in male group, had much preferable tendency than that of middle school students (p<0.001). It is interpreted that, as the level of scientific content of texts or the cognitive level of students were higher, a preference for the motivation type was focused to the task-orientation, especially in male group. In the case of ego-orientation, the female group showed much preferable tendency than that of male group in middle school (p<0.05). However, the female group in high school students was not different from the other groups in this motivation type. In the case of work-avoidance, there were not only a significant difference between males and females in the middle school (p<0.001), but also difference between middle and high school students in female group (p<0.05). It showed that female group had much preferable tendency than that of male group, and this tendency was decreased to the higher grade students in secondary school. From the analysis of correlation between motivation types and scientific achievement, task-orientation and work-avoidance were correlated to the scientific achievement. Its results were interpreted that the scientific achievement could be accomplished by the external motivation stimulus as well as the scientific content of texts. The task-orientation were comparatively correlated to the intelligence quality. It means that the students having high intelligence quality showed much preferable for the task-orientation.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic information and to help producers develop more realistic, idealistic and better environment-friendly interior finishing material by identifying and reducing the awareness and preference about it between the producers and consumers. The following conclusions are based on the above results of analysis. There is a lack of awareness of the environment-friendly interior finishing material and it is urgent to develop the awareness. For the developing the awareness, the government and the authorities concerned have to educate the consumers in order that they choose objective information, have to build information network accessible to them and have to share the reliable information. And in order to get the confidence of consumers, it is necessary to make institutional devices. The scientific study which can be approved in many methods and many NGOs' participation are also needed. Especially in order to meet the consumers' demand, there should be proof of the influence of the interior finishing material on the body and diversity of the design and color of the material.

  • Since sewer rehabilitation program requires long construction period and enormous capital investment, determination of rehabilitation priorities is important with systematic planning considering appropriate evaluation parameters. In this research, we applied PROMETHEE(Preference Ranking Organization METHod for Evaluations) known as very objective and scientific multi-criteria decision-making analysis, using the weights determined by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) for the selected sewer evaluation items to calculate the rehabilitation priorities for each sewer sub-catchment in basin Gusan 1 of Seoul. Preference functions and preference thresholds were estimated for each criterion of ratio of lack of hydraulic capacity of sewers, defect ratio, ratio of sewers with velocity less than its minimum criteria, and density of sewers in the sub-catchment. As a result, it was found that region d had the first priority among four sub-catchments. For each and every sewer located in region d, we could also rank sewers to be rehabilitated urgently.

  • Modem biotechnology, specifically for the use of recombinant DNA(rDNA), has brought about a revolution in our ability to control and use life forms. Most of the world's leading countries view biotechnology as the key scientific and industrial discipline for the 21st century and are making all - out efforts for scientific and technological advance in the related fields. The impact of biotechnology on the nation's economy has been growing explosively as such diverse industries invested increasingly on the fruits of biotechnological research. However, such an impact could only be realized through concerted endeavours from the government to private sectors for guarantee of the successful technological advances in this scientific area. There are risks associated with every technology; the classical application of biotechnology has not been exempt. For example, the introduction of bio-tech to agriculture might be destroied the ecosystems. Therefore, to increase the research budgets by the government and private sectors, we need to identify the public attitudes and preference on the acceptance of bio-technology and on the potential economic value of it. For the study, we surveied 959 persons including students enrolled in college of agriculture, Chungnam National University. And to measure the economic value of biotechnology, we use the Contingent Valuation Method(CVM) which is considered as the new approaching method in the bio-technology field.

감귤의 소비자 선호도 조사를 통한 객관적 품질등급 기준 설정 (Setting the Korean Mandarine Quality Standards based on Consumer Preference Survey)

  • 본 연구는 감귤의 소비자 선호도 조사를 통하여 객관적인 품질기준을 제시하는데 있다. 지금까지 제주 감귤의 품질 등급은 선과기를 이용한 크기에 따른 상품 구별과, 농 감협과 일부 영농 법인에서 비파괴 선과기를 이용하여 선별되어진 감귤을 자체적인 브랜드에 준하여 등급을 제시하여 왔다. 그 등급 설정은 과학적 객관적이거나, 소비자의 니즈에 의한 것이 아니라 편의에 위한 관행적 등급으로 판단된다. 그 등급 내용을 보면 최고등급 브랜드인 경우 당도 $12^{\circ}Bx$ 이상, 산도 1% 미만을 요구하고, 다음 등급 브랜드인 경우는 당도 $11^{\circ}Bx$, 산도 1% 미만을 요구하는 등 높은 당도와 낮은 산도를 천편일률적으로 적용하여 사용되어지고 있다. 따라서 감귤의 소비자 선호도 조사를 통한 소비자 만족도에 근거하여 당도 4등급, 산도 4등급으로 총 16개 등급으로 구분하였고, 이를 바탕으로 1등급에서 5등급까지의 5개의 등급을 설정하였다.

  • 본 연구는 한라봉의 소비자 선호도 조사를 통하여 객관적인 품질등급 기준을 설정하는데 있다. 지금까지 한라봉의 품질등급은 선과기를 이용한 크기에 따른 상품 구별과, 농 감협과 일부 영농 법인에서 비파괴 선과기를 이용하여 선별되어진 자체적인 브랜드에 준하여 품질등급을 제시하여 왔다. 그 등급 설정은 과학적 객관적이거나, 소비자의 니즈에 의한 것이 아니라 편의에 위한 관행적 등급으로 판단된다. 그 등급 내용을 보면 당도 $13^{\circ}Bx$ 이상, 산1.0% 이하로 일률적으로 적용하여 사용되어지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 한라봉의 소비자 선호도 조사를 통한 소비자 만족도에 근거하여 당도 5등급, 산도 7등급으로 총 35개 등급으로 구분하였다. 이를 바탕으로 1등급에서 5등급까지의 5개의 등급을 설정하고 상품(1~3등급)과 비상품(4~5등급)으로 구분하였다.

  • 그동안 미신이나 운세 관련 연구는 미디어에서 제공되는 정보성과 함께 생활의 활력에 기여한다는 결론을 일관되게 제기하여 왔는데, 본 논문에서는 관련 주제에 대하여 기존의 연구패턴에서 좀 더 한 걸음 나아가 보다 심층적이고 본질적인 의미에 접근할 수 있는 질적 분석방법의 하나가 되는 주관성연구방법을 활용하여 연구하였다. 분석결과, 수용자는 총 3가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 제 1유형은 학문적 소구형(Scientific Appeal Type), 제 2유형은 가치의존형(Value-depended Type), 제 3유형은 긍정적 선호형(Positive Preference Type)으로, 대체로 개인적으로 불안한 사회현실에 대해서 위로를 얻기 위해서, 혹은 흥미위주로 생활의 활력소를 얻고자 하는 차원에서 의견의 일치를 보였으며, 특히 교육수준과는 별개의 사안이며 아직은 운세관련 문화에 대해서 종교적 문제와는 거리를 두고 있었다. 전반적으로, 미디어상에서의 운세라는 콘텐츠는 남녀노소 할 것 없이 대다수의 일반대중들에게 많은 관심을 보여 왔으며, 유형별 차이에서 확인하였듯이 대부분의 응답대상자들은 운세콘텐츠를 긍정적으로 향유하고 즐기는 것으로 파악되었다.

초등 AI 융합교육 프로그램의 교육 효과성 분석 (An Analysis of Educational Effectiveness of Elementary Level AI Convergence Education Program)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 AI 융합교육 프로그램의 교육 효과성을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 선행연구에서 개발한 '머신러닝의 개념을 지도하기 위한 초등 과학 AI 융합교육 프로그램' 총 8차시를 초등학생 4~6학년을 대상으로 교육한 후, 'AI 기술에 대한 태도, 과학선호도, 융합인재소양' 검사 도구를 이용하여 단일집단 사전-사후검사를 진행했다. 각 요인의 정량적 변화는 R 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 피어슨 상관계수를 이용한 상관분석 및 대응표본 t-검정을 통해 교육 효과성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 'AI 기술에 대한 태도, 과학선호도, 융합인재소양' 모든 요소에 깊은 상관관계가 있었으며, 대부분의 요소에서 기술적 평균이 향상되었다. 따라서, AI 융합교육 프로그램은 교육적으로 유의미하며, 초등 정규 교육과정에 AI 교육 및 AI 융합교육이 도입된다면 긍정적인 교육 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
