  • Since quality assurance and enhancement (QAE) raises the fundamental issue of the survival of higher education institutions and national competitiveness, guides on quality assurance (QA) are popular both domestically and worldwide. Despite the focus in many countries on trying to establish and implement QA systems, no clear investigation has been conducted on what actually happens in the institutions. Therefore, the present study examines the quality control system of the UK at an institutional level by focusing on the case of Scotland QAE. As Scottish QAE especially emphasizes student engagement and quality culture, this study investigates the present QAE situation in the institution and current ideas for better future practices by analyzing the perceptions of internal stakeholders' from the University of Edinburgh, School of Education, based on the stakeholder theory and implications for other contexts. The stakeholder analysis results demonstrate the successful application of QAE with a high level of understanding and stakeholder interest. However, the current strategy is missing certain opportunities for staff and students. Therefore, further information disclosure, formative evaluation, better communication and administrational supports are required for improved practice.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the evaluation scale according to the major selection attribute of culinary major students. For the scale development, 69 items were extracted through theoretical review. After that, a survey was conducted on 73 students who are currently studying culinary majors, and two culinary majors and three culinary major professors conducted in-depth analysis and refining. The questionnaire was conducted from March 18 to March 27, 2019, and the second expert group survey was conducted from August 19 to August 31, 2019 based on Kendall's W-validated mean and standard deviation. The results of this study are as follows. First, 46 properties were derived from the first expert group survey. Second, six factors and 32 attributes were derived through consultation with the second and third expert groups. Thirdly, through the verification of Kendall's W attributes of 32 six factors, verification of consensus on the importance of experts was made, and the final four factors (individual factors, occupational factors, major characteristics factors, and university-related factors) were derived. It was. The results of this study suggest that the final composition of the culinary major selection attribute is expected to contribute enough to increase student satisfaction, school loyalty, and enrollment rate of students through the measurement scale to grasp the competitiveness of the culinary major.

  • Oriental Diagnosis System(ODS) is an artificial intelligence program that utilize entered diagnosis knowledge, determine patient's disease and decide right medicine. The purpose of this study is to find a correlation between pattern Identification in Korean medicine and each sasang types(So-Yang, So-Eum and Tae-Eum) by analyzing ODS diagnosis result. Eventually our study secure availability of using ODS program at clinical training or developing diagnosis program. Subject of this study is 32 students participating in Sasang medical practice(12 subjects were So-Yang, 7 subjects were So-Eum, and 13 subjects were Tae-Eum). We analyze subject's clinical practice result reports by using ODS program and obtained result about pattern Identification. We used SPSS statistics 23 in analyzing the differences of the scores of Eight Principle Pattern Identification, Qi-Blood Pattern Identification, Bing-xie Pattern Identification, and Visceral Pattern Identification in each Sasang types (So-Yang, So-Eum, Tae-Eum). In the case of Heat-moisture, Tae-Eum showed higher score than So-Eum, but So-Yang showed no difference from the other two Sasang types(p<0.05). And in the case of Food-accumulation, Tae-Eum and So-Yang showed significantly higher score than So-Eum(p<0.05). It is hard to generalize the result because subject of this study was not enough. However, we explained correlation between pattern Identification in korean medicine and each sasang types based on quantifiable and objective evidence system. Therefore use of ODS program in student clinical practice training help to understand the relationship and correlation between different pattern Identification and will help standardization of clinical practice education.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences of Science Core schools on students' positive experiences about science (PES) through in-depth interviews with teachers in charge of science core schools. In-depth interviews with teachers were conducted to explore the factors that led to the effectiveness of science core schools in improving the student's PES in light of operational characteristics of science core schools as leading schools, characteristic factors of science core schools on students PES, and improvement plans and requirements of science core schools as leading schools, as well as implications for general high schools. In the case of science core schools, the teacher's enthusiasm for science teaching encouraged students' participation in science classes, promoted students' interest in science other than science-core classes, improved students' inquiry and research skills, increased students' competencies such as communications and collaboration by improving science instructions, and affected career search and exploration based on interests in science experiences. Based on the results, ways to spread the characteristics of science core schools to general schools' curriculum implementation are suggested including providing opportunities to experience the value of science study, to experience science and engineering careers through senior students, to participate in team projects and self-regulated science inquires, and so on.

  • This study is a study that developed class materials that can be applied directly to classes by field teachers in consideration of ' research on the development is valuable as a field support study.', 'In material development, organizing data centering on the knowledge composition and inquiry activities of characters related to the mathematics concept can help develop class materials', and 'The fact that the development of subject data for has been insufficient'. To this end, this study went through the procedure of 'establishing a data development plan, data development, verifying field teachers on development data, verifying subject experts on development data, and developing final data reflecting verification opinions.' Therefore, based on the 1st 50 minutes reflecting the task exploration model, it was possible to develop class materials for the 3rd time. In this study, development data were presented with a 17-week curriculum plan, a class guidance plan that presents teacher-student interaction, and a task development form that students fill out and submit in class. This study was developed with the developed data in mind to be applied to actual classes. Therefore, a follow-up study is needed to apply the developed data to actual classes and analyze the results.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of knowledge and risk perception of coronavirus disease-2019 on preventive health behavior among nursing students. The survey participants were 291 students in A city. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires between August 1 and 20, 2020. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression in SPSS ver. 18.0. Knowledge of COVID-19 was significantly dependent on age and school records. Risk perceptions were significantly dependent on educational grades. Age, health status, knowledge, and risk perception had significant effects on preventive health behavior, which was found to be positively correlated with knowledge and risk perception. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that age significantly predicted preventive health behavior (β=.188, p<.01), health status (β=-.245, p<.001), knowledge (β=.254, p<.001), and risk perception (β=.191, p<.001) that it accounted for 18.9% (F=17.904, p<.001) of the variance. An educational program is required to enhance the preventive health behavior of nursing students in a background of COVID-2019 that considers student age, health level, knowledge, and perception of risk.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to understand what various factors influence school life adaption of nursing students by measuring life stress, anger and optimism. Methods: The subjects were 186 students in B city and the data were collected for the period of 17-28 April 2017. The collected data were analyzed with an independent t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's method, Cronbach's alpha and Pearson's correlation coefficients. The results are as follows respectively: life stress 1.34/4, state anger 1.24/4, trait anger 1.57/4 at average, and among optimism was 3.45/5 at average. Multiple regression analysis showed perceived physical health status(${\beta}=.20$ t=2.72, p=.007), satisfaction on college(${\beta}=.19$, t=2.53 p=.012) and life stress (${\beta}=-.14$ t=-2.28, p=.027) were related to factors. They accounted 18.2% of the optimism of the subjects. However, there was no significant correlation between optimism and anger of nursing students. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a program to improve the optimism of nursing college students and to develop a program that can enhance the coping ability of stress to cope with life stress experienced by nursing students.
