This clinical report describes designing and fabricating a single-retainer resin-bonded fixed dental prosthesis with a chair-side computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing system. The whole procedure, from tooth extraction to final placement of the prosthesis, was completed in one day, and a single clinic visit. No clinical complications were found at the 2-year follow-up after placement of the restoration, and satisfactory functional and esthetic results were achieved.

Angelman syndrome(AS) is a rare genetic neurological disorder. The main clinical characteristics of this syndrome are delayed neuropsychological development, intellectual disability, speech impairment, jerky movements especially hand-lapping, frequent laughter or smiling. AS is a classic example of genetic imprinting in that it is usually caused by deletion or inactivation of genes on the maternally inherited chromosome 15. The syndrome has oral manifestations such as diastemas, tongue thrusting, sucking/swallowing disorder, mandibular prognathism, frequent drooling, and excessive chewing behavior. The purpose of this paper is to describe the interesting aspects of the dental treatment of a childe with AS.

The autogenous tooth transplantation is an alternative treatment replacing a missing tooth when a suitable donor tooth is available. It is also a successful treatment option to save significant amount of time and cost comparing implants or conventional prosthetics. These cases, which required single tooth extraction due to deep caries and severe periodontal disease, could have good results by transplanting non-functional but sound donor tooth to the extraction site.
