HunMinJeongEum, meaning "the right sound to teach the people," was created in 1443 CE by King Sejong the Great, the fourth king of the Joseon Dynasty. In today's modern language, this letter, called Hangeul, is internationally recognized for its linguistic science. However, it is hard to find a comprehensive study on the fact that King Sejong himself created Hangeul, the Confucian perspective on natural disasters and democracy revealed in the process of writing, the independent efforts emphasized from a certain period, and the achievements of King Sejong, who shared the sorrow of the people and carried out national policies despite the extreme opposition of the nobility. Accordingly, I analyzed the consonants of HunMinJeongEum and looked at the essence of humanity and oriental philosophy (Yin-Yang Five Elements, Sangsu Philosophy, Hado). Surprisingly, different meanings from previous studies and interpretations were found, and King Sejong's "Da Vinci Code," which was left behind in the process of making the consonant, is reinterpreted and revealed. King Sejong's achievements were all connected as one. This is the root of democracy in the Republic of Korea today, and this is why King Sejong was selected as the most beloved and respected historical figure by the Korean people. This study will start with more people's understanding of the fundamental perception and philosophy of the world in Asia, including Korea, to reinterpret and reveal the hardships and great achievements experienced by a leader of a country in the process of creating korean alphabet, and to emphasize democracy, which is an important value for Asians and Westerners' mutual respect and co-prosperity.

Active search for lead-free piezoceramics over the last decade has harvested a considerable amount of achievements both in theory and in practice. Few would deny that those achievements are highly beneficial, but agree that this quest of developing the lead-free piezoceramics in replace for PZTs is successfully completed. Nevertheless, few would clearly state where this quest should be directed in our next move. A source of this uncertainty may originate from the fact that it is still not clear how good is good enough to beat PZTs. In this short review, we analyzed the existing literature data to clearly locate the current state of the art of lead-free piezoceramics in comparison to PZT-based piezoceramics. Four strategies of a potential importance were suggested and discussed to help researchers plan and design their future research on lead-free piezoceramics with a recently reported exemplary work.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the three-year results and impact of a school library revitalization project. The data were collected using school library surveys, questionnaires, and group interviews. The analyses particularly focused on examining the impact of library schedules, programs, collections and uses on the school library's academic achievements. The analyses revealed that the school library uses and the recognition of their importance were improved significantly through school library establishment and remodelling and that school libraries could positively influence students' academic achievements, as shown by studies of the U.S. school libraries. Due to the lack of library collections and professionals, however, it is desired to carry out a further research in this area.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze factors affecting suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school. Methods: The data in this study came from the survey which conducted to 500 students of physical education high school athletes and elite athletes in general school from the beginning of December 2009 to the end of January 2010 in Seoul and Kyunggi. Finally 436 cases was used. The dependant variable is suicidal ideation in this study. And the independent variables are socio-demographic factors, exercise-related factors, school and family environments, stress and depression factor. The analysis method is logistic regression analysis. Finally 436 cases was used. Results: First, the rate of suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school was 28.9%. Second, there were significant differences between stress and sex, grades, athletic career, kind of sport, sport skill level, the average exercise time per day, family circumstances, life satisfaction, future expectations. Third, there were significant differences between depression and sex, academic achievements, the average exercise time per day, family circumstances, life satisfaction, future expectations. Fourth, there were significant differences between suicidal ideation and sport skill level, academic achievements, the average exercise time per day, family circumstances, life satisfaction, future expectations. Fifth, the higher level of stress and degree of depression, the more increased the risk of suicidal ideation. Conclusions: Considering the close relationship between suicidal ideation and suicidal attempt, to reduce the suicidal ideation of athletes in middle and high school it is necessary to adjust exercising time properly and to promote life satisfaction. Also to overcome depression and stress support system should be established and to promote self-efficacy cognition strength program should be introduced in the school. So athletes in middle and high school should have confidence and self-confidence on the future.

Though web-based learning is known to be effective for computer aided practical class, it lacks in cooperative human feedback and self-adjustment. This paper presented the effects of blended learning that was based on web-based learning for learning by level and blended with peer tutoring for reducing the differentials of scholastic achievements between the students. For experimental purpose, high school students were divided into two groups and web-based EXCEL tutoring tool was developed and applied to both groups in advance. After this learning, we applied the web-based learning for comparative group as before and peer tutoring for experimental group respectively, Performance result evaluated by SPSS showed that the Blended Learning has affirmative effect in scholastic achievements. Especially, students under the medium level of experimental group could narrow the gap to the high level students in its group and this eventually improved the overall achievements of experimental group with blended learning.
This study investigates the effect of cloze procedure using either cartoons or texts on academic interests and reading achievements. Three equivalent classes were selected from an 1st grade in elementary school in terms of academic interests and reading achievements. While two experimental conditions used cloze procedure either with cartoons or texts during 15 lessons, the control condition used a traditional reading procedure. The results indicated that cloze procedure with cartoons enhanced academic interests in reading only for low achievement participants. Cloze procedure condition also outperformed the control condition on both immediate and delayed dictation test. In particular, cloze procedure with cartoons were quite effective for low achievement participants. Lastly, both types of cloze procedure facilitated overall comprehension test score, specifically inferential understanding test score but not factual understanding test score. Based on these findings, the types of text and learning strategy to improve academic interests and reading-related achievements were discussed.

This paper sought to find significant learning behavioral indicators and their correlation with the academic achievements of elementary teacher candidates engaged in an online course using MS Teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focused on variables such as the number of visiting days to MS Teams, on-time online assignments, conversation activities, posts, and replies, MS Insights data in the LMS environment were collected in the fall term of the 2020 academic year and analyzed in Pearson correlation and multiple regression. The number of visiting days and on-time online assignments were significantly correlated with their grades, whereas the indicators including average weekly conversation activity, posts, and replies did not have a significant effect on the achievements. Furthermore, the results revealed that the subject's behavioral intention to submit on-time assignments significantly predicted learner achievements.

This study purposes to examine the learning achievements, attitude and reactions of elementary school students in fifth grade in mathematics after inducing to use of learning-notebook on mathematics. To achieve the purpose, this study focuses on the following matters. First, we develop the ways to write thoughts and activities in solving problems on learning-notebook for elementary school student in fifth grade. Second, we analyze the effects of the students' learning achievements after applying the ways to them in every mathematics learning activities at home and in school, etc. Third, this study examine the attitudes and reactions of the students toward mathematics after observing the learning activities and interviewing them. The results are summarized as follows. First, using learning-notebook helps to improve the performance of students. The average point of the final examination went up to 90.67 while the average of the first level test was 70.75. And almost each student's result have improved. Second, the interviews with the students show that they feel sense of accomplishment, their mathematical attitude has changed to be positive, and they've actively participated in class by using the learning-notebook. The students felt confidence and achievement and they were more interested in studying mathematics when they use the learning-notebook. Further, the students used the notes in doing their homework and at home studying. Finally, the learning-notebook had a good influence on the relationships between students and teachers. Moreover, learning-notebook serves as a medium that connects teacher and student's work.

This study aims at helping cerebrally palsied children to overcome and minimize their sufferings, inducing them to perform ordinary activities of daily living for themselves by coducting ADL Tests which are fundamental activities in daily life and presenting treatment plan for their overall rehabilitation and basic data for achieving the training objective. For that purpose, 173 cerebrally palsied children were selected and given ADL performance Tests from Dec. 1987 to Oct. 1988 and the following results were obtained. 1. Correlation coefficients for each ADL category indicated significant statistical value at .01 level. 2. Correlation coefficient between school-year variable and ADL category variable was significant at .01 level. 3. Correlation between age variable and ADL variable category proved significant at .01 level as well. 4. Correlation coefficients between each category in terms of functional state of extremities were significant at .01 level. 5. The difference in ADL achievements between each category by school year were as follows ; 1) In the category of meeting nature's tall, the age span of more than 4 school years showed statistical significance. 2) In the category of putting off and on clothing, the age span of 3 school years indicated statistical significance. 3) In taking meals statistical significance was found in the age span of 4 school years. 4) In finger movements the age span of more the 4 school years indicated statistical significance. 5) In walking activities statistical significance was noticed in the age span of 2 or 3 school years. Besides, in category by school year, and exceptional case was noticed that the 6th graders were lower than the 5th graders in self-reliance rate. 6. the difference in ADL achievements by type of palsy, children of triplegia were the lowest, while those of monoplegia were the highest. 7. The difference in ADL achievements by kind of palsy, patients of athetosis showed lower rate of self-reliance than those of spasticity, and particularly the latter showed a high rate of self-reliance in taking meals$(83.5\%)$. The former were relatively low in self-reliance and lowerst in meeting nature's call $(59.8\%)$.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the relations among the three factors: 1) characteristics of family, 2) nutrient intake status and 3) academic achievements. The subjects in this study were 7,698 boys and girls attending primary, middle and high schools in South Korea. The questionnaire was made and distributed to the student to answer the questions about family background and food intake status. Food intake frequency method was used to examine nutrient intake status. Academic achievement results of last semester were taken from students school records. Followings are the results of the study:1. Most of the mean nutrient intakes were above the Korean recommended dietary allowances. However, calcium, iron, and vitamin A intakes were below the Korean recommended dietary allowances. Therefore, it is recommended to increase the intake of these nutrients in these students to meet the RDA.2. Total amounts of food intake were decreasing in higher grades and food intake of boys was higher than that of girls. 3. Educational period of parents and economic status of family had grades influences on student's academic achievement and nutritional status. The students with parents of higher education and higher economic status had better academic achievement and balanced nutritional status. 4. When students were divided into three groups with respect to the percentage of recommended nutrient intake, the group with nutrient intake of 75-125% of RDA achieved better academic achievement than other groups. In conclusion, educational length and economic status of parents and optimal intake of nutrients (75-125% of RDA)by students significantly affected academic achievements of the students.
