건식과 습식 제분조건에 따른 멥쌀가루의 특성 (The Properties of Rice Flours Prepared by Dry and Wet Milling Method)

  • The purpose of this research was to compare the physicochemical compositions and morphological properties of five varieties of rice flours (RR, RGD, RSGD, RWDG, RWGD). RR was raw milled rice without washing, RGD was raw rice flour without soaking, RSGD was raw milled rice flour with 0 hr of soaking, RWDG was raw rice flour with 8 hr of soaking and grinding after drying, and RWGD was raw rice flour with 8hr of soaking and drying after grinding. The protein and lipid contents of wet milling rice flour (RSGD, RWDG, RWGD) were significantly lower than those of dry milling rice flour (RR, RGD). L and a values were significantly increased in wet milling rice flour, and b value was significantly increased in dry milling rice flour. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that RWDG and RWGD were distributed as separated fine particles in rice flours. The WBC of RWDG and RWGD were higher than those of other rice flours. Solubility was significantly increased according to the temperature, and swelling power of RWDG was higher than that of other rice flours at 50 and $60^{\circ}C$. Using RVA, the initial pasting temperature and setback of RWDG were lower and the peak viscosities of RSGD and RWDG were higher than those of other rice flours. Using a mixograph, peak times were not significantly different among the groups, wheras peak heights were significantly decreased in RSGD, RWDG, and RWGD. The peak width of RWGD was lower than those of other rice flours. Based on these findings, RWDG flour was less damaged, and had a lower setback and pasting temperature, which makes it an appropriate rice flour for commercial mass production.

광학계의 위상 변조 조건에 따른 중심 강도 변화 (The effect of phase modulation on the central peak intensity in an optical system)

  • 최근에 많은 연구들이 디지털 다기능 디스크(DVD) pick up head나 초정밀 주사 현미경과 같은 회절 한계 이상의 초분해능을 갖는 광학계를 개발하기 위해 annular mask나 ppupil filter 등의 다양한 방법을 이용하고 있다. 본 연구진은 초분해능 광학계 개발에 이용되는 annular mask와 phase modulated filter를 동시에 갖는 환형태의 위상 변조 광학계를 개발하기 위한 연구를 수행해 왔다. 이러한 광학계의 결상 특성은 위상 변조 조건, 즉 환형 폭, 환형 위치, 그리고 변조량에 영향을 받게되는데, 본 연구에서는 이러한 위상 변조 조건을 결정할 수 있는 최적화 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램에 의해 결정된 환형 위상 변조 광학계의 위상 변조 조건에 따른 최적 상면에서의 중심 강도 변화를 조사하였다. 이러한 결과로부터 최대 중심 강도를 갖는 최적의 환형 이상 apodizer 조건을 결정할 수 있었고, 특히 광학계가 구면수차를 포함하는 경우 구면수차량이 증가 할수록 수차 보정 능력이 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

TFA-MOD법으로 제조된 다층 YBCO 박막의 미세구조 관찰 (Microstructural Observation of Multi-coated YBCO Films Prepared by TFA-MOD)

  • We fabricated $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$(YBCO) films on (00l) $LaAlO_3$ substrates prepared by metal organic deposition(MOD) method using trifluoroacetate(TFA) solution. The films with various thicknesses were prepared by repeating the dip-coating and calcining processes. The effects of film thickness on phase formation, microstructures, and critical properties were evaluated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The microstructure and resultant critical current($I_C$) and critical current density($J_C$) varied remarkably with film thickness: The ($I_C$) value increased from 39 to 160 A/cm-width as the number of coatings increased from one to four, while the corresponding $J_C$ was measured to be in the range of $0.84-1.21\;MA/cm^2$. Both the $I_C$ and $J_C$ decreased when an additional coating was applied due to microstructural degradation, indicating that the optimum thickness is in the range of $1.1-1.8\;{\mu}m$. The possible cause for the decrease in the $I_C$ and $J_C$ value for film thicker than $1.8\;{\mu}m$ include non-uniform thickness, increased surface roughness, and the poor formability of the YBCO phase and texture arising from the insufficient heat treatment time with respect to the increased thickness.

스테인레스강 Overlay 용접부의 Disbonding 에 관한 연구(2) - 오스테나이트계 스테인레스강 오버레이 용접금속의 PWHT에 관한 야금학적 고찰 - (Study on the Disbonding of Stainless Steel Overlay Welded Metal(Report 2) - A Metallurgical Study on PWHT of Overlaid Austenitic Stainless Steel Weld Metals -)

  • Overlaid weld metals of austenitic stainless steel in a pressure vessel of power reactor are usually post-weld heated for a long period of time after welding. The PWHT is considered as a kind of sensitizing and it is important to check the soundness of the weld metal after PWHT, especially about the precipitation of carbides. The purpose of this report is to obtain information on the relation between the change of microstructure and Post-Weld Heat Treatment in the overlaid weld metals. Metallurgical aspects of the problem on austenitic stainless steel heated at $625^{\circ}C$, $670^{\circ}C$, $720^{\circ}C$ and $760^{\circ}C$ for 3, 10, 30, 100 and 300 hours have been investigated by means of optical-micrography, micro-hardness measurement, scanning electron microscope and electron-probe micro analysis. From the results obtained, the following conclusions are drawn; 1) The PWHT above $625^{\circ}C$ for a long time causes a diffusion of carbon atoms from low alloy steel into stainless steel, and consequently carbon is highly concentrated at the boundary layer of stainless steel. 2) C in ferritic steel migrated to austenitic steel and carbides precipitated in austenitic steel along fusion line. At higher temperatures, the ferrite grains coarsened in the decarburized zone. 3) In the change of microstructure of stainless steel overlaid weld metal, the width of carbides precipitated zone and decarburized zone increased with increase of PWHT temperature and time. 4) At about $625^{\circ}C$ to $760^{\circ}C$, chromium carbides, mainly $M_{23} C_6$, precipitate very closely in the carburized layer with remarkable hardening. 5) Precipitation of delta ferrite from molten weld metal depends on solidification phenomenon. There was a small of ferrite near the bond in which the local solidification time was short, comparing with after parts of weld metal. Shape and amount of ferrite were not changed by Post-Weld Heat Treatment after solidification.

Al-doping Effects on Structural and Optical Properties of Prism-like ZnO Nanorods

  • ZnO seed layer were deposited on quartz substrate by sol-gel method and prism-like Al-doped ZnO nanorods (AZO nanorods) were grown on ZnO seed layer by hydrothermal method with various Al concentration ranging from 0 to 2.0 at.%. Structural and optical properties of the AZO nanorods were investigated by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence (PL). The diameter of the AZO nanorods was smaller than undoped ZnO nanorods and its diameter of the AZO nanorods decreased with increasing Al concentration. In XRD spectrum, it was observed that stress and full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the AZO nanorods decreased and the 'c' lattice constant increased as the Al concentration increased. From undoped ZnO nanorods, it was observed that the green-red emission peak of deep-level emission (DLE) in PL spectra. However, after Al doping, not only a broad green emission peak but also a blue emission peak of DLE were observed.

수열합성법으로 제조된 지르코니아의 나노분말 특성 (Characteristics of Zirconia Nanoparticles with Hydrothermal Synthesis Process)

  • 지르코니아 나노분말을 수열합성법으로 제조하였으며, 반응온도, 반응시간, 침전제의 종류 및 농도, 전구체의 종류를 실험 변수로 하였고, 각각의 제조된 분말을 X-선 회절(XRD)과 주사전자현미경(FE-SEM)을 통해 입자크기 및 결정상을 측정하였다. 침전제의 농도 증가에 따라 지르코니아 입자크기가 증가하였으며, 입자의 결정화도도 높아졌고, KOH 보다 NaOH 침전제를 사용하였을 경우, 입자 성장 속도가 증가하였다. 이는 입자의 크기 컨트롤에 있어 NaOH를 사용하는 경우보다 KOH를 사용하는 것이 더 효과적이었다. 4 h의 수열반응시간에서는 4 h의 수열반응시간에서는 비정질의 지르코니아 입자가 발견되었지만, 8 h 이상 합성 시, 단사정상의 지르코니아 입자가 생성됨을 확인하였고, 반응시간이 길어짐에 따라 지르코니아 입자의 폭이 소폭으로 줄어들고, 길이는 소폭 늘어남을 확인하였다. 동일한 합성 조건에서 전구체로서 zirconium (IV) acetate, zirconium nitrate, zirconium chloride 중에서 zirconium chloride를 사용하여 합성하였을 경우, 입자의 크기가 가장 작게 형성되었다.

치과용복합레진과의 결합에 있어, 상아질 내 교원섬유의 역할에 관한 연구 (TITLE : THE ROLE OF COLLAGEN FIBER IN DENTIN BONDING)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of moistening mechods of dentin on the morphologic states of hybrid layers and on the interfacial bond strength between dentin and composite. Specimens were divided into 6 groups based on the surface moistening methods and materials used. After the dentin surface was conditioned with 10 % phoporic acid and irrigated: 1. The dentin surface was dried. Then bonding agent and composite were applied. 2. The dentin surface was blot-dryed. Then primer, bonding atent and composite were applied. 3. The dentin surface was dryed first. Within 20 seconds, the surface was rewetted, then primer, bonding agent and composite were applied. 4. The dentin surface was dryed. Then primer, bonding agnent and composite were applied. 5. The dentin surface was dryed first. Atter 24hrs, the surface was rewetted, and then primer, bonding agent and composite were applied. 6. The surface was conditioned with NaOCl for 5min. Then primer, bonding agent and composite were applied. To reveal the hybrid layer, scanning electron microscopy was used after the samples were ion beam etched. The shear bond strength of each group was tom pared by ANOVA. In groups 2, 3 and 4, the hybrid layer was clearly visible, but the width was more limited in group 4. In group 1 and 5, the hybrid layer was not found, and a gap was formed between dentin and composite. In group 6, the hybrid layer was not found, but the interface between the dentin and composite was intimate. The shear bond strength of each group was as follows: Group 1 : 4MPa, Group 2 : 14MPa, Group 3 : 12MPa, Group 4 : 14MPa, Group 5 : 5MPa, Group 6 : 9MPa.

황산 제1철을 이용한 방추형 괴타이트 나노 입자의 합성 (Synthesis of Spindle Shape α-FeOOH Nanoparticle from Ferrous(II) Sulfate Salt)

  • A wet-chemical route was utilized to obtain nanosized crystalline goethite ($\alpha$-FeOOH) particle, which was known as an oxidation catalyst in reducing carbon monoxide (CO) and dioxine during incineration. A cost-effective $FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ was used as starting raw material and a successive process of hydrolysis-oxidation was utilized as synthetic method. The effects of the initial $Fe^{2+}$ concentration, hydrolysis time and oxidation period on the crystalline phase and particle characteristics were systematically investigated by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and BET analyses. It was found that the spindle-shaped crystalline $\alpha$-FeOOH particle with the width of 70 nm and the length of 200 nm could be obtained successfully when the initial concentration of 1.5 M, hydrolysis time of 4h, and oxidation period of 10 h, respectively. In addition, it was observed that the spindle-shaped $\alpha$-FeOOH particle consisted of nano-sized primary crystallites of $30\~50\;nm$, which were de-agglomerated into individual particle and successively re­agglomerated into spherical or irregular-shaped agglomerates beyond certain periods in the hydrolysis and oxidation process.

Glochidium larva 의 구조와 숙주어류에서의 피양형태에 관한 미세구조적 연구 (An Ultrastructural Study on the Glochidium and Glochidial Encystment on the Host Fish)

  • A scanning electron microscopic study on the glochidium and glchidial encystment of Anodonta grandis on the guppy was conducted. The shape of the glochidium is apparently triangular and its averge size is 0.45mm X0.4mm when closed, The two glochidial shell valves are of the same size, kept together by a ligament of 120${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in length and 7 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in width. Each of the glochidial shell valves has a 16 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ long hook sitdded with many spines on the superior face. A large area to the apex of the valve surrounding the base of the hook is provided with numerous small spines which become progressively smaller towards the periphery of the area, The external surface of the glochidial shell valve is covered with numerous small processes showing successive change in the shape and the pattern of destribution by part. Besides the processes, there are a number of niches scattered all over the exterior surface. The glochidial shell valve has two layers. One is the outer thin membrane bearing the processes and the niches and the others is the inner layer bearing numerous holes which any accessory structure and 2.65 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in diameter, emerges from a canal located at center of ventral plate of the mamtle, A total of three types of the hair cells are observed. In present artificial infection of the glochidium to the guppy, it took about three to four hours to complete an early cysts, During the period of encystment, The epithelial cells of the host fish actively migrated toward the attached glochidium and covered it.

ZnO Nanorods Grown on CdxZn1-xO Seed Layers with Various Cd Mole Fractions

  • ZnO nanorods were grown on the $Cd_xZn_{1-x}O$ seed layers with various Cd mole fractions by hydrothermal method. The effects of the Cd mole fraction for $Cd_xZn_{1-x}O$ seed layers on the structural and optical properties of the ZnO nanorods were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and photoluminescence. The narrowest full-width at half-maximum and largest grain size of the $Cd_xZn_{1-x}O$ seed layers, indicating improvement in crystal quality, were observed at the Cd mole fraction of 0.5. At the Cd mole fraction of 0.5, the largest enhancement in the density, the crystal quality, and the growth rate of the ZnO nanorods was observed while their appearance was not affected significantly by the incorporation of the Cd in the $Cd_xZn_{1-x}O$ seed layers. Consequently, the luminescent properties of the ZnO nanorods were enhanced. The largest improvement in the structural and optical properties of the ZnO nanorods was observed at the Cd mole fraction of 0.5.
