Copy-move forgery (CMF) in digital images is a detrimental tampering of artefacts that requires precise detection and analysis. CMF is performed by copying and pasting a part of an image into other portions of it. Despite several efforts to detect CMF, accurate identification of noise, blur and rotated region-mediated forged image areas is still difficult. A novel algorithm is developed on the basis of quaternion polar complex exponential transform (QPCET) to detect CMF and is conducted involving a few steps. Firstly, the suspicious image is divided into overlapping blocks. Secondly, invariant features for each block are extracted using QPCET. Thirdly, the duplicated image blocks are determined using k-dimensional tree (kd-tree) block matching. Lastly, a new technique is introduced to reduce the flat region-mediated false matches. Experiments are performed on numerous images selected from the CoMoFoD database. MATLAB 2017b is used to employ the proposed method. Metrics such as correct and false detection ratios are utilised to evaluate the performance of the proposed CMF detection method. Experimental results demonstrate the precise and efficient CMF detection capacity of the proposed approach even under image distortion including rotation, scaling, additive noise, blurring, brightness, colour reduction and JPEG compression. Furthermore, our method can solve the false match problem and outperform existing ones in terms of precision and false positive rate. The proposed approach may serve as a basis for accurate digital image forensic investigations.
When evaluating energy balance and temperature in reduced-scale fire experiments, which are conducted as an alternative to full-scale fire experiments, it is important to consider the similarity in the scale among these experiments. In this paper, a method considering the similarity of energy balance is proposed for setting the conditions for reduced-scale experiments of mechanically ventilated compartment fires. A small-scale fire experiment consisting of various cases with different compartment geometries (aspect ratios between 0.2 and 4.7) and heights of vents and fire sources was conducted under mechanical ventilation, and the energy balance in the quasi-steady state was evaluated. The results indicate the following: (1) although the compartment geometry varies the energy balance in a mechanically ventilated compartment, the variation in the energy balance can be evaluated irrespective of the compartment size and geometry by considering scaling factor F (∝heffAwRT, where heff is the effective heat transfer coefficient, Aw is the total wall area, and RT is the ratio of the spatial mean gas temperature to the exhaust temperature); (2) the value of RT, which is a part of F, reflects the effects of the compartment geometry and corresponds to the distributions of the gas temperature and wall heat loss.
This study was to investigate the synergistic taste effect between monosodium glutamate(MSG) and 5'-ribonucleotides consisted of disodium 5'-inosinate (IMP) and 5'-guanylate (GMP) as 1:1 ratio. Solvent was distilled water. Sensory evaluation with 10 panelists was performed by using ratio scaling method (magnitude estimation). The results were as follows: 1) Taste intensities were increased, as nucleotides content to MSG increased. 2) Multiple regression analyses were carried out with the taste intensity data as a function of nucleotides content at three concentrations of seasonings, 0.025%, 0.05% and 0.1%. 3) Predicted taste intensities ($Y_P$) were calculated from the regression equation. Also taste intensity ratios ($Y_{TR}$)-$Y_{TR}$=$Y_P$/taste intensity of MSG only-were calculated. 4) The taste intensity ratios ($Y_{TR}$) at three concentrations of seasonings in the same nucleotides contents showed about the same. Therefore, instead of above regression equations, only one multiple regression equation expressing $Y_P$ of nucleotides seasonings could be determined, as functions of nucleotides content and seasoning concentration.

The ice resistance series charts for icebreaking ships were developed through a series of systematic model tests in the ice tank of the Korean Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering (KRISO). Spencer's (1992) component-based scaling system for ship-ice model tests was applied to extend the model ship correlations. Beam to draft ratio (B/T), length to beam ratio (L/B), block coefficient ($C_B$) and stem angle (${\alpha}$) were selected as geometric parameters for hull form development. The basic hull form (S1) of twin pod type with B/T of 3.0, L/B of 6.0, $C_B$ of 0.75 and stem angle of $25^{\circ}$ was generated with a modern hull design concept. A total of 13 hulls were designed varying the geometric parameters; B/T of 2.5 and 3.5, L/B of 5.0 and 7.0, $C_B$ from 0.65 to 0.85 in intervals of 0.05, and 5 stem angles from $15^{\circ}$ to $35^{\circ}$. Ice resistance tests were first carried out with the basic hull form in level ice with suitable speed. Four more tests for $C_B$ variations from 0.65 to 0.85 were conducted and two more for beam to draft and length to beam ratios were also performed to study the effect of the geometric parameters on ice resistance. Ice resistance tests were summarized using the volumetric coefficient, $C_V$ ($={\nabla}/L^3$), instead of L/B and $C_B$ variations. Additional model tests were also carried out to account for the effect of the stem angle, ice thickness and ice strength on ice resistance. In order to develop the ice resistance series charts with a minimum number of experiments, the trends of the ice resistance obtained from the experiments were assumed to be similar for other model ship with different geometric parameters. A total of 18 sheets composed of combinations of three different beam to draft ratios and six block coefficients were developed as a parameter of $C_V$ in the low speed regions. Three correction charts were also developed for stem angles, ice thickness and ice strength respectively. The charts were applied to estimate ice resistance for existing icebreaking ships including ARAON, and the results were satisfactory with reasonable accuracy.
In previous study, to investigate the impression of the compound lighting based on the AC-Model at the full-size room, the impressions of various compound lighting were completed as compared with that of the uniform lightings through the comparison method (a paired comparison) by Semantic Differential scaling. Also, we examined the effect of the supplementary lighting type increasing the lights at the side of the window and the blind-control lighting type, and they were compared with the existing compound lighting type. In results, pared comparison of the compound lighting and the uniform lighting, indicates that the impression of the compound lighting is generally similar to that of the uniform lighting when there are same ratios of the light from the window. Based on these results, we suggest that the AC-Model might be applied to various conditions. And we also introduce the method for daylighting that it is possible to reduce discomfort glare and to improve visual impressions as the supplementary type and blind-control type on the compound lighting. And it was found that electric power consumption of the compound lighting room was lower than that of the uniform lighting room when as same lighting ratio of the compound lighting and the uniform lighting from the window was provided or there was the lighting distribution simulated to same light ratio from the window. Since the method of the ACModel was described in the experimental condition, additional studies should be performed to determine if this model could be applied to different window configurations, lighting layout and types of a room.

An agricultural waste, pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) peel is known to be rich in total phenolics, which are flavonoids having strong antioxidant effects. In this study, pomegranate peel sponge cakes were prepared with varying ratios of freeze dried pomegranate peel powder (0, 1, 3, 5, 7% (w/w)) to examine their effect on quality characteristics, retrogradation and antioxidant activities. The specific gravity and moisture contents of 3, 5, and 7% pomegranate peel powder showed higher values than the control and 1% group. Addition of pomegranate peel powder increased the batter yield, while there was a significant decrease in baking loss. Increasing pomegranate peel powder content significantly decreased the lightness (L) (from 75.03 to 57.04) and pH values, whereas redness (a), yellowness (b) and ${\Delta}E$ were increased. Increasing concentration of the peel powder also increased the hardness and chewiness, while the springiness and cohesiveness decreased. Considering the Avrami equation, Avrami exponene (n) decreased from 1.8055 (control) to 0.9199 (7% pomegranate peel powder). Time constant (1/k) was lowest in control (at 17.64) and highest in the 7% group (39.84). Total polyphenol, flavonoid content, DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities significantly increased with increments in the content of pomegranate peel powder. A sensory evaluation by the 7-point scaling method showed that the sponge cake containing 7% pomegranate peel powder had the highest scores in color, flavor, sweetness, chewiness and overall acceptability. Hence, it is considered that sponge cake supplemented with 7% pomegranate peel powder is the most appropriate for quality characteristics, retrogradation and antioxidant activities.

This paper presents the results of sloshing experiments having different fluids in model tanks with various density ratios. The experimental model consisting water and air at ambient, which has been commonly used, is not consistent in density ratio with that of an actual LNG cargo tank. Therefore, an advanced experimental scheme is developed to consider the same density ratio of LNG and NG by using a mixed gas of sulfur hexafluoride ($SF_6$) and nitrogen ($N_2$). For experimental observation, a two-dimensional model tank of 1/40 scale and a three-dimensional model tank of 1/50 scale have been manufactured and tested at various conditions. Two different fillings with various excitation frequencies under regular motions have been considered for the two-dimensional model tank, and three different filling levels under irregular motions have been imposed for the three-dimensional model tank. The density ratio between gas and liquid varies from the ratio of the ambient air and water to that of the actual LNG cargo container, and the different composition of gas is used for this variation. Based on the present experimental results, it is found that the decrease of sloshing pressure is predicted when the density ratio increases.
Several experimental tests to simulate a reflood phase of a cold-leg LBLOCA of the APR1400 have been performed using the ATLAS facility. This paper describes the related experimental results with respect to the thermal-hydraulic behavior in the core and the system-core interactions during the reflood phase of the cold-leg LBLOCA conditions. The present descriptions will be focused on the LB-CL-09, LB-CL-11, LB-CL-14, and LB-CL-15 tests performed using the ATLAS. The LB-CL-09 is an integral effect test with conservative boundary condition; the LB-CL-11 and -14 are integral effect tests with realistic boundary conditions, and the LB-CL-15 is a separated effect test. The objectives of these tests are to investigate the thermal-hydraulic behavior during an entire reflood phase and to provide reliable experimental data for validating the LBLOCA analysis methodology for the APR1400. The initial and boundary conditions were obtained by applying scaling ratios to the MARS simulation results for the LBLOCA scenario of the APR1400. The ECC water flow rate from the safety injection tanks and the decay heat were simulated from the start of the reflood phase. The simulated core power was controlled to be 1.2 times that of the ANS-73 decay heat curve for LB-CL-09 and 1.02 times that of the ANS-79 decay curve for LB-CL-11, -14, and -15. The simulated ECC water flow rate from the high pressure safety injection pump was 0.32 kg/s. The present experimental data showed that the cladding temperature behavior is closely related to the collapsed water level in the core and the downcomer.

Several process parameters were studied to ascertain the effect on degradation of sugar cane bagasse in relation to the production of cellulase enzyme and reducing sugars by Solid Substrate Fermentation (SSF) and Submerged Culture Fermentation (SCF) of Aspergillus terreus SUK-1. The effect of air-flow rate (0-1.3 v/v/m), of different ratios of substrate weight to liquid volume (1:6, 1:10, 1:20, and 1:30 w/v, g/ml), scale-up effect (10, 20, and 100 times of 1:10 ration, w/v) and the effect of temperature (30, 40, 50, and $60^{\circ}C$) in SSF were studied. Air-flow rate of 1.0 v/v/m gave the highest enzyme activity (FPase 0.25 IU/ml, CMCase 1.24 IU/ml) and reducing sugars concentration (0.72 mg/ml). Experiment using 1:10 ratio (w/v) was found to support maximum cellulase activity (FPase 0.58 IU/ml, CMCase 1.97 IU/ml) and reducing sugar concentration (1.23 mg/ml). Scaling-up the ratio of 1:10(w/v) by a factor of 20 gave the highest cellulase activity (FPase 0.71 IU/ml, CMCase 2.25 IU/ml) and reducing sugar concentration (3.67 mg/ml). The optimum temperature for cellulase activity and reducing sugar production was $50^{\circ}C$(FPase 0.792 IU/ml, CMCase 2.25 IU/ml and 3.85 mg/ml for reducing sugar concentration). For SCF, the activity of cellulase enzyme and reducing sugar concentration was found to be lower than that obtained for SSF. The highest cellulase activity obtained in SCF was 50% lower than the highest cellulase activity in SSF, while for reducing sugar concentration, the highest concentration obtained in SCF was 90% lower than that obtained in SSF.

Because antique Korean Peninsula maps have many historical signification, we can estimate historical evidences by analyzing them. However, it is very difficult to compare antique maps with modern maps because the antique maps were made by arranging local regions. To resolve this difficulty, we transform antique maps by rotating, scaling and translating to compare with a reference map. Each antique map is rotated in the difference of principal axis angles of the target and the reference maps, and its width and height are scaled asymmetrically using width and height ratios of bounding boxes. Finally, the two regions are overlaid by adjusting their centroids, and then the antique map is evaluated by two similarity equations. Experimental results show that the similarities of region ratio and different angle are properly computed according to era. Therefore, the proposed method can be widely used to analyze the antique Korean Peninsula maps.
