항공기 배출가스가 대기환경에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Emission gas from Air craft to Ambient Air)

  • Air pollution problem by air craft was reviewed from emission gas components from air craft and pollutants amount generated in airport with the compareness of domestic transportation data by airplane and foreign data. It is reported that concentration of emission gas from air craft is lower than that of pollutants from automobile and factory. But transportation frequency is increasing rapidly in Korea. It is recommended that concerns should be taken on long- term of counterplan device about it.

  • Bio-film module system was applied to the treated leachate water that priorly had been treated with biological nitrification process. The experiments were performed in the laboratory and treated leachate water treatment facility. Experimental results obtained from laboratory conditions and nitrogen removal efficiencies were averaged 90% for 1 hr.

  • The actual situation of the rural house already improved since 1970's by standard plan of rural house was surveyed, to find out residential problems and farmers'intention to the improvement, and to make some space composition. The floor space of a living room and sanitary and bath facilities be required of larger dimensions than present. Facilities of sanitary and bath should be stayed indoors. The using-much-room is necessary to washing · and dressing after farm working. The space composition of rural house be variously developed on the basis of farmers'characteristies.

전기분해에 의한 염색폐수의 COD 제거 특성 (Characteristics of COD Removal in the Electrolytic Treatment of Dyeing-Wastewater)

  • The characteristics of color and COD removal for dyeing-wastewater using electrochemical reaction were investigated. >From the result, the removal efficiency of color and COD were increased with increase of temperature, decrease of electrode distance, increase of electrolyte concentration and increase of potential and these were obtained above 99%, above 75% within 30 min, individually. Cause of higher COD removal efficiency, it is more suitable that dyeing-wastewater is treated by electrolytic treatment prior to biological treatment. It is concluded that the electrolytic treatment of dyeing-wastewater can be used as the effective and economical method in practical treatment.

  • Methodology for health risk assessment has been developed by governmental agencies and research institutions in the United States concerning environmental and industrial health such as Environmental Protection Agency, Pood and Drug Administration, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The basic concept, process, and scientific rational of the health risk assessment are discussed in order to introduce this field of research for future application to risk assessment and management in Korea. As environmental criteria for most of the environmental carcinogens and nonfarcinogens are set based on the quantitative risk assessment, this quantitative methodology should be emphasized and studied in Korean situation.

양돈 계수에서 광합성 미생물의 특성 (Characterization of Photosynthetic Bacteria in Swine Wastewater)

  • Photosynthetic bacteria (PSB), strains IP-4 and IP-6-7 were isolated from nature, and were studied for swine wastewater treatment. It was confirmed that these PSB were very effective for the COD treatment. Growth of those PSB were increased to 4.5 fold in organic-acids (acetate, propionate and butyrate) added medium than cultivation in Lascelles basal medium and the amount of bacteriochlorophyll a were increased to 5 folds. The COD removal rate in swine wastewater using PSB, strains IP-4 and IP6-7 were obtained 91% and 85%, respectively.

  • The need and concern about ecosystem are growing rapidly. However, ecosystem management systems are still in the first stage since the data are handled locally and separately. It results in the waste of money and time. In this research, we designed and implemented ecosystem management system of stream region using geographical information system(GIS) that is able to be used to manage the natural resource efficiently. It is expected to be used as a useful tool for Improvement of environment and management of ecosystem as well as recovery of natural environment.

  • We've been investegated to find the optimum operation condition of electrlysis which have an influance on disposal efficiency of heavy metals. When we electrolyzed the testing wastewaters containing each 250mg/L of Cr and Zn ions, we exerimented with using variables like as pH, NaCl, electrode gap, electric current strength, the number of electrodes, after fastening positive electrode plate with Al, Fe, Ti and negative electrode plate with Stainless Steel Plate.

  • Energy recovery technology from municipal solid waste has been increasingly established in many countries. Anaerobic treatment of municipal sewage sludge has low digestion efficiency because of low organic loading rate of sewage sludge. The purpose of this study was to evaluate anaerobic biodegradability of food waste which was based on organic loading rate and seeding rate. From the results of anaerbic biodegration, the optimum condition for seeding rate was turn out over 40%, which did not inhibition of methane production.
