Study on Pulmonary emphysema based on literature and thesis, etc. Knowing the cause of the oriental medicine and treatment. The results were obtained as follows: 1. In the oriental medicine, we could find that emphysema was similiar to Pye-Chang, Huh-Chun. Sang-Qi, Dan-Qi, So-Qi. 2. The cause was divided to asthenia of the lung and kidney, yang-asthenia of the spleen and kidney with energy-asthenia of the lung as the root, and sputum(痰) had been important in the early period of disease, extravasated blood in the latter period. The proximate cause was clonic pulmonary disease, smoking, air pollution. occupation and symptoms of senility, congenital cause etc. 3.The treatment was divided to Gang-Qi-Wha-Dam, Whal-Hyul-Wha-Eo, Jin-Hae-Pyung-Chun in progress of disease and it was divided to Geon-Bi, Nab-Qi, On-Yang, Yang(養)-Eum, Qi-Eum-Ssang-Bo in relieve period. 4.The medicine used to Bu-Bi-Seng-Maek-San, Jo- Jung-Ik-Qi-Tang, Jung-Won-Eum, Geum-Guae-Sin-Qi-Whan, Jin-Mu-Tang, Yuk-Mi-Whan and So-ja-Gang-Qi-Tang, Pae-Mo-Tang, Ja-Won-Tang, Do-Dam-Tang, Chun-min-Tang, Jeon-Ho-Tang etc. The popular used medicine used to Bo-Pae-Tang, Pyung-Chun-Go-Bon-Tang, In-Sam-Hap-Gae-San-Ga-Gam, In-Sam-Yun-Pae-Won, Jung-Chun-Tang, Bo-Shin-Lee-Pae-Tang etc. Exogenous pathogenic fact and increasing of symptom used to Sam-So-Eum, Sang-Gook-Eum, Wol-Bi-Ga-Ban-Ha-Tang, Sa-Baek-Tang, Ma-Hwang-Tang etc.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to search for more effective methods of treatment for tinnitus. Methods : We inquired about 33 cases of tinnitus patients visited the Ik-san Oriental Medical Hospital of Wonkwang University from March 1, 2008 to May 30, 2009. We examined the 33 cases in the view of sex, age, occupation, duration, number of visits, cause, associating symptoms, quality of tinnitus, frequency of acupuncture and herbal medicine, and recovery rate after treatment. Results and Conclusions : In 21 cases of tinnitus patients among the 33 cases, it was improved. Total recovery rate was 63.6%. This case study presents clinical possibility of acupuncture and herbal medicine and moxa for the treatment of tinnitus.

In this thesis, we design and implement a Flash Cache Core Module (FCCM) which operates on the YAFFS NAND flash memory. The FCCM applies memory replacement policy and prefetching policy based on the page reference pattern of applications. Also, implement the Clean-First memory replacement technique considering the characteristics of flash memory. In this method the decision is made according to page hit to apply prefetched waiting area. The FCCM decrease I/O hit frequency up to 37%, Compared with the linux cache and prefetching policy. Also, it operated using less memory for prefetching(maximum 24% and average 16%) compared with the linux kernel.

In this study, we describe the technique for deriving a digital elevation model (DEM) from a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) stereo image pair and apply it to an image pair over "Kwanak-san" in Seoul, Korea. This paper contains brief discussion of the use of stereo SAR to derive topographic data, description of the overall structure of the stereo SAR processing system, description of the site and SAR data used for the evaluation and the source of validation data, results of the stereo SAR processing, analysis and evaluation of their accuracy against map data, and finally summarizes the main highlights of the method used, comments and recommendations on its future implementation.

The Sa-Ahm monk, who was believed to have existed in the middle of Cho-Seon Dynasty in Korea, have created an original Sa-Ahm's acupuncture method and written down, "Book of Sa-Ahm's 5 Element Acupuncture Method" using not only laws of creation and suppression in 5 element theory but also its main and other connected meridians according to the daignosis of visceras and bowels. Also the written time and background of its theory have not been known, and after obtaining Ji-San's book on Sa-Ahm's acupuncture method, I studied on them. The results are as follows : 1) The treatment chapter of Book of Sa-Ahm's 5 Element Acupuncture Method was written down by Sa-Ahm himself, and the chapter for Medical Experience was found to be written down by Ji-San. 2) It seemed that Sa-Ahm adopted the main ideas of "Eui Hak Jeong Jon(醫學正傳)" for the section of physiology, pathology and classification of disease symptoms the contents of which covered 40 of 43 parts, and the ideas of "Dong Eui Bo Gam(東醫寶鑑)" for YunGi treatise(運氣篇), and SangHan part(傷寒門) in classification of diease symptoms was intensified by the ideas of "Eui Hak Ip Moon(醫學入門)", and the contents of apoplexy, diseases characterized by acute diarrhea and vomiting, beriberi, diseases of oral cavity were intensified by the ideas of "Chim Ku Kyeong Hearn Bang(鍼灸經驗方)". 3) The written date of the Book of Sa-Ahm's 5 Element Acupuncture Method has been established as 1644 AD(22nd year of In Jo king of Cho-Seon Dynasty) after studying preface, contents and acknowledgement of Heo Im's "Chim Ku Kyeong Hearn Bang(鍼灸經驗方)". 4) The philosophic background of "Sa-Am Acupuncture Method(舍巖鍼法)" seems to be derived from the theories of "I Ching(周易)" and Yin Yang 5 Element Theory(陰陽五行學說), and to be influenced by such medical scholars as Tan Ke(丹溪), Woo Bak(虞搏), and Heo Im(許任).

Background and Objective : Acne is very common skin disease encountered by dermatologists. But There is few reports on Acne treated with the Ko-Bang(古方) and the Sa-Am acupuncture. The study was designed to evaluate the effects of Acne patients by the Ko-Bang(古方) and the Sa-Am acupuncture. Methods : We conducted one patient with Acne seen at Won-Kwang University Ik-San Oriental Medical Hospital. We treated Acne by a herbal medicine, acupuncture, etc. Conclusions : We suggest that the oriental medical treatment and management have an effect with Acne which means Jwachang(挫瘡) in Oriental medicine.

This paper presents the result of a comparison study to evaluate the performance of several semi-active control algorithms for use with large-scale MR damper applied to a building structure under seismic excitation using real-time hybrid test method. Recently, a variety of semi-active control algorithm studies are developed and generally evaluated the performance by using numerical analysis. In this paper real-time hybrid test method was applied to performance evaluating of semi-active control algorithms including a clipped optimal algorithm and the modulated homogeneous friction algorithm.

As processor's operational frequency increases and processors execute multiple instructions per cycle, the processor performance becomes more dependent on the load operand referencing latency and the data dependency. To reduce the operand fetch latency and to increase ILP by breaking the data dependency, we propose a value-address hybrid predictor using a reasonable size prediction buffer and analyse the performance improvement by the proposed predictor. Through the extensive simulation of 5 benchmark programs, the proposed hybrid prediction scheme accurately predicts 62.72% of all loads which are 12.64% higher than the value prediction scheme and show its cost-effectiveness compared to the address predition scheme. In addition, we analyse the performance improvement achieved by the stride management and the history of previous predictions.

Background and Objective : Allergic purpura is a generalized vasculitis characterized by cutaneous purpura, art hritis, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding and nephritis. However, the pathophysiology of the Allergic purpura remains obscure. Treatment at present is symptomatic and supportive. There is few reports on Allergic purpura treated with oriental medical treatment. Methods : We conducted two patients with Allergic purpura seen at Won-Kwang University Ik-San Oriental Medical Hospital. We treated Allergic purpura by a herbal medicine, acupunture, etc. Conclusions : We suggest that the oriental medical treatment and management have an effect with Allergic purpura which means Podoyug in Oriental medicine.
