The determination of uranium and its isotopes in spent nuclear fuels by isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) has been studied. The spent fuel samples were dissolved in 8 M $HNO_3$ or its mixture with 14 M $HNO_3-0.05M$ HF. The dissolved solutions were filterred on membrane filter with $1.2{\mu}m$ pore size. The uraniums in the spiked and unspiked sample solutions were quantitatively adsorbed by anion exchange resin, AG 1X8 and eluted with 0.1 M HCl. The contents of uranium and its isotopes ($^{234}U$, $^{235}U$, $^{236}U$ 및 $^{238}U$) in the spent fuel samples were determined by isotope dilution mass spectrometric method using $^{233}U$ as spike. The spike reference solution was standarized by reverse isotope dilution mass spectrometry (R-IDMS) using natural and depleted uranium. The results from IDMS were in average relative difference of 0.34% when compared with those by the potentiometric titration method.

There should not be ion exchange resin particles in S/G sludge. The suspicious spherical resin particles observed in S/G sludge sample were characterized for particle size distribution under optical microscope using the micro-technique, for element analysis by the electron probe micro analysis (EPMA), and for molecular identification by the IR spectroscopy The particle sizes are distributed from 1 to 200 ${\mu}m$ for the sludge, while 40 to 500 ${\mu}m$ for the spherical resin particles. The results of the elemental analysis showed different major impurities: Si, Al, Mn, Cr, Ni, Zn and Ti for the sludge particles, while Si, Cu, Zn for the spherical resin particles. However, both particles contain Fe as a matrix of hematite ($Fe_{3}O_4$). IR spectrum of the spherical particles was quite different from that of ion exchange resins used in S/G system. These results indicate that the spherical particles are not related to ion exchange resin particles and formed by the process of the sludge formation.

The spent cationic exchange resins and anionic exchange resins were separated from mixed spent exchange resins by a fluidized bed gravimetric separator. The separated resins were identified by an elemental analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. The each test sample was prepared by diluting the slurry made by wet ball milling the cationic exchange resins and the anionic exchange resins separated as a spherical granular form for 24 hours. The resulting test samples showed a slurry form of less than $75{\mu}m$ of particle size and 25,000ppm of $COD_{cr}$. The decomposition conditions of each test samples from a thermal power plant were obtained with a lab-scale(reactor volume : 220mL) supercritical water oxidation(SCWO) facility. Then pilot plant(reactor volume : 24 L) tests were performed with the test samples from a thermal power plant and a nuclear power plant successively. Based on the optimal decomposition conditions and the operation experiences by lab-scale facility and the pilot plant, a commercial plant(capacity : 150kg/h) can be installed in a nuclear power plant was designed.
In this work, we have prepared tungsten doped vanadium oxide ($W-VO_2$) particles with a low phase transition temperature. $W-VO_2$ particles were synthesized via thermolysis method using vanadyl (IV) sulfate and ammonium bicarbonate as precursors. The structure and thermochromic property of synthesized $W-VO_2$ particles were investigated by FE-SEM, EDS, XRD, XPS, and DSC analysis. The prepared $W-VO_2$ showed a nearly platy morphology, which indicates that the tungsten was successfully doped in the crystal lattices of $VO_2$. $W-VO_2$ nanoparticles with the size of 60 nm exhibited a monoclinic crystal structure and its chemical composition and surface state were also likely to be close to that of $VO_2$. In addition, the phase transition temperature of $W-VO_2$ was $38.5^{\circ}C$, which was approximately $29.2^{\circ}C$ lower than that of pure $VO_2$ ($67.7^{\circ}C$), indicating that the prepared sample had a good reversible thermochromic stability.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the attitudes of students, who are used to study at the Library of Duksung Women's University, concerning about the loss and mutilation of books, articles and other research materials m a university library, and to take measures for preventing the library materials from being lost and mutilated. This study made the surveys of student's recognition about the immoral behaviors like larcenous and mutilating acts, the causes of such destructive works and effective preventive measures to keep library materials in good condition, including student's opinion about library services. The investigations were conducted in two times with the same questionnaire on randomly selected 480 students and 540 students of 1989 and 1994 respectively. The sample size is estimated to reach each $10\%$ of the total number of students of 1989 and 1994 in Duksung Women's University. And then, the students were divided into two groups. The one is a group that has had experiences stealing and mutilating the materials from the Library of the University. The other is another group which has done none of them. Thereafter the responses of the two groups are analyzed to compare the differences of the students' behaviors between 1989 and 1994, and thereby finding out important factors inviting the loss and mutilation and accordingly improving effective checks to deter the students from stealing and mutilating the library materials. Some of the research findings suggested in this paper are pointed out as follows: 1) The students who has experienced neither stealing nor mutilating the library materials visited the library more frequently and are more serious about such destructive behavior as stealing and mutilating. 2) The attitudes of the students about services and equipments supplied by the library are slightly different among the students who experienced such immoral activities or not. For example, the experienced students had more preference about an application of self-help duplicating machine being able to use card. 3) To prevent the students from stealing and mutilating the library materials, the non-experienced students demanded an education for them to duly recognize the public interest of the library and also suggested to keep more duplicate materials ready in the library, meanwhile, the experienced students indicated strongly such proposals as strict regulations against stealing and mutilating behaviors, having a correct understanding of costing a lot of time and money to restore the damaged materials to their original state and keeping many duplicates ready in the library. 4) It appears to be that there were different between the experienced and non- experienced students concerning causes invited stealing and mutilated behaviors. 5) Over all, the number of the non-experienced students is more increased in 1994 than that of 1989.

This study examines whether there is agency cost in a public R&D subsidy program by applying agency theory. If there is agency cost, the composition ratio of the government subsidy and the firm's own R&D fund would have a significant (-) effect on technological performance. Companies that received a public R&D subsidy in Korea from 2000 to 2009 were selected as a sample. Frequency analysis and multiple regression analysis were used. The independent variables was the ratio of public R&D subsidy cost to the Firm's own R&D cost, and the dependent variables were the number of patent applications and the number of patents registered. The control variables were firm size and R&D cost. The results show that there are agency problems in the government-sponsored R&D system. A future study is needed to examine how much agency problems deteriorate the efficiency of the system.

Conventional marine radar systems utilize pulse radar which is capable of high-power transmissions and is effective for remote detection purposes. A pulse radar is most commonly used on medium or large vessels due to its expensive installation and maintenance costs. I propose the use of a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar system operated at low-power and high-resolution instead of the conventional pulse-radar based system. The transmitted and received signals of the FMCW radar system were theoretically analyzed and radar signal processing design and simulation experiments were performed to detect the range and speed. Intermediate Frequency (IF) signal mixed with virtual transmit and receive signals were generated to perform FMCW radar signal processing simulations where the IF signal underwent noise reduction through a lowpass filter. The maximum frequency was derived through the sample interval of the FFT size instead of using A/D converter. This maximum frequency was used to get the frequency range and frequency speed which were in turn used to calculate the range and speed. The virtual beat frequency generated using MATLAB is utilized to analyze the beat frequency used in the actual FMCW radar system signal processing. The differences in the range and speed of the beat frequency signals are processed and analyzed.
Major deficiencies of current automation scheme including various robots for bioproduction include the lack of task adaptability and real time processing, low job performance for diverse tasks, and the lack of robustness of take results, high system cost, failure of the credit from the operator, and so on. This paper proposed a scheme that could solve the current limitation of task abilities of conventional computer controlled automatic system. The proposed scheme is the man-machine hybrid automation via tele-operation which can handle various bioproduction processes. And it was classified into two categories. One category was the efficient task sharing between operator and CCM(computer controlled machine). The other was the efficient interface between operator and CCM. To realize the proposed concept, task of the object identification and extraction of 3D coordinate of an object was selected. 3D coordinate information was obtained from camera calibration using camera as a measurement device. Two stereo images were obtained by moving a camera certain distance in horizontal direction normal to focal axis and by acquiring two images at different locations. Transformation matrix for camera calibration was obtained via least square error approach using specified 6 known pairs of data points in 2D image and 3D world space. 3D world coordinate was obtained from two sets of image pixel coordinates of both camera images with calibrated transformation matrix. As an interface system between operator and CCM, a touch pad screen mounted on the monitor and remotely captured imaging system were used. Object indication was done by the operator’s finger touch to the captured image using the touch pad screen. A certain size of local image processing area was specified after the touch was made. And image processing was performed with the specified local area to extract desired features of the object. An MS Windows based interface software was developed using Visual C++6.0. The software was developed with four modules such as remote image acquisiton module, task command module, local image processing module and 3D coordinate extraction module. Proposed scheme shoed the feasibility of real time processing, robust and precise object identification, and adaptability of various job and environments though selected sample tasks.
Purpose: This study (a) investigated the effect of microwave power intensity and sample thickness on microwave drying characteristics of radish strips, and (b) determined the best-fit drying model for describing experimental drying data, effective moisture diffusivity ($D_{eff}$), and activation energy ($E_a$) for all drying conditions. Methods: A domestic microwave oven was modified for microwave drying and equipped with a small fan installed on the left upper side for removing water vapor during the drying process. Radishes were cut into two fixed-size strip shapes (6 and 9 mm in thickness). For drying experiments, the applied microwave power intensities ranged from 180 to 630 W at intervals of 90 W. Six drying models were evaluated to delineate the experimental drying curves of both radish strip samples. The effective moisture diffusivity ($D_{eff}$) was determined from Fick's diffusion method, and the Arrhenius equation was applied to calculate the activation energy ($E_a$). Results: The drying time was profoundly decreased as the microwave power intensity was increased regardless of the thickness of the radish strips; however, the drying rate of thicker strips was faster than that of the thinner strips up to a certain moisture content of the strip samples. The majority of the applied drying models were suitable to describe the drying characteristics of the radish strips for all drying conditions. Among the drying models, based on the model indices, the best model was the Page model. The range of estimated $D_{eff}$ for both strip samples was from $2.907{\times}10^{-9}$ to $1.215{\times}10^{-8}m^2/s$. $E_a$ for the 6- and 9-mm strips was 3.537 and 3.179 W/g, respectively. Conclusions: The microwave drying characteristics varied depending on the microwave power intensity and the thickness of the strips. In order to produce high-quality dried radish strips, the microwave power intensity should be lower than 180 W.
Health care service's added value and sustainability has been formed, through the product developing about sports equipment and special equipment for disabled in order to improve the life quality, with the increasing population of elderly and the attention about health care. This research's design and 3 testing sections has been done according to design process for design development of functional bike. 1st test is done through researching from 4 aspects: structure, aesthetic, function and using. In the 2nd testing, 10 universal design items were used to evaluate 10 modeling samples, and sample F which has high evaluation overall was chosen. In 3rd test, evaluation was done from the user service scene about the mock-up with 1/4 scale size. PPP (product performance program) which is constructed with 60 evaluation items about functional bike's service was tested, and these items were fixed through discussing with experts. Through the result we knew the aesthetic elements had relationship with proportion, unity and typicality. In 10 items (55 survey items), the scores of items with physical exposure's minimization, simple and intuitively usage showed high, on the contrary, the other items' scores was very low, such as information delivery's consideration and thought, failure preventing. The evaluation will be done once more by health care experts, designers and elderly together if the physical model could be made for getting accurate measurement about above test result in the future.
