A pressure tracking control of hydroforming process is considered in this paper. To account for nonlinearities and uncertainties of the process, an iterative learning control scheme is proposed using Cerebellar Model Arithmatic Computer (CMAC). The experimental result shows that the proposed learning control is superior to any fixed gain controller in the sense that it enables the system to do the same work more effectively as the number of operation increases.

To build a Korean wordnet, we translated semi-automatically the English wordnet PWN into Korean verbs. During this process, we found that some of translation errors are related to the arbitrariness of PWN`s sense distinction in regard to the accusativity/inaccusativity of the same verb form in English. This study presents an empirically based method of remodeling the PWN for Korean wordnet and while revising the PWN`s hierarchical structure, it shows the necessity of classifying the Korean passive verbs as semantically autonomous.

In this paper, a new fast voronoi divider for vector quantization (VQ) is introduced, which results from Theorem that the nearest vectors in the sense of minimum mean square error(MMSE) have almost the same mean values of their elements. An improved splitting method for a VQ codebook design using the fast voronoi divider is also presented. Experimental results show that the new method reduces the complexity of training a VQ codebook several times with a high signal to noise ratio(SNR) using an appropriate extensive parameter of codebook.

This research aims here to develop a certain extended double sampling plan, EDS, which is an extension of ordinary double sampling plan in the sense that the second-stage sampling effort and second-stage critical value are allowed to depend on the point at which the first-stage continuation region is traversed. For purpose of comparison, single sampling plan, optimal ordinary double sampling plan(ODS) and sequential probability ratio test are considered with the same overall error rates, respectively. It is observed that the EDS idea allows less sampling effort than the optimal ODS.

We present a construction of the linear reduction of Hilbert type proof systems for propositional logic to if-then-else equational logic. This construction is an improvement over the same result found in [4] in the sense that the technique used in the construction can be extended to the linear reduction of first-order logic to if-then-else equational logic.

We prove the uniqueness of solutions for the boundary value problem of certain nonlinear elliptic operators in the setting: Given any continuous function f on the p-harmonic boundary of a complete Riemannian manifold, there exists a unique solution of certain nonlinear elliptic operators, which is a limit of a sequence of solutions of the operators with finite energy in the sense of supremum norm, on the manifold taking the same boundary value at each p-harmonic boundary as that of f.

We present an interpolating, univariate subdivision scheme which preserves the discrete curvature and tangent direction at each step of subdivision. Since the polygon have a geometric information of some original(in some sense) curve as a discrete curvature, we can expect that the limit curve has the same curvature at each vertex as the control polygon. We estimate the curvature bound of odd vertices and give an error estimate for restoring a curve from sampled vertices on curves.

In this article, we consider an unbounded minimal graph $M{\subset}R^3$ which is contained in a slab. Assume that ${\partial}M$ consists of two Jordan curves lying in parallel planes, which is symmetric with the reflection under a plane. If the asymptotic behavior of M is also symmetric in some sense, then we prove that the minimal graph is itself symmetric along the same plane.

Synonym means that the conceptual meaning of the word is the same or similar while other meanings or function of language difference may exist. That is two or more identified names correspond with one sense and have the words with minor difference. Words with synonym relation are a set of same meaning but conceptual area or emotional color, language function can be identified. Therefore, the core research of synonym is the difference analysis and in general difference analysis is progress in the three aspects of Meaning, Pragmatic, and Semantic. However, the difference analysis is the most important. In this paper, the set of meaning item of synonym word 'Attack' is 'zheng', 'fa', 'tao', 'qin', 'xi'. We compare the meaning of five verbs and analyze the difference and characteristics.

This study aims at suggesting the applicability of color combination based upon the characteristics of environmental color perception and the nuance concept of Natural Color System(NCS). The results are summarized below: First, NCS is a scientific coloring system in consideration of the relevance between people, light and environment, to be based on a phenomenological point of view. NCS can be called a psychometric model reflecting our natural color sense. Second, the color triangle established by NCS is one of the methods of expression based on the human visual mechanism, which is classified by two attributes of hue and nuance, not by the three color attributes of hue, lightness and saturation. The nuance concept of NCS implies the impression, atmosphere and tone that are perceived in colors, which are related to lightness and saturation. Accordingly, this paper suggests that the coloring arrangement emphasizing nuance and tone is more useful than hue in color planning. Third, aesthetic impression in environmental color perception is inclusive of instantly perceptive nuance, which is connected with affordance. The affordance is revealed by the different relation of similarity. In this regard, a strong relationship is noticed between color combination and the sense of pleasantness. The hypothesis regarding the complementation and similarity of contrasting nature is judged to provide observers with aesthetic order. Finally, this paper also suggests four harmonizing methods in the NCS color triangle based upon equal blackness, equal whiteness, equal chromaticness and same nuance. At the same time, opposition and a different concept of hue, lightness and lightness are combined complementarily with the nuance value to suggest patterns of color combination.
