약용식물 추출물이 첨가된 미네랄이 알코올에 의한 산화적 스트레스 및 숙취해소에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Minerals Added to Medicinal Plant Extracts on Alcohol-Induced Oxidative Stress and Alcohol Metabolism in Rats)

  • 항산화 작용에 효과가 있다고 알려진 복분자, 울금, 산수유 추출물과 알코올분해 효소 작용을 촉진시킬 수 있는 천연미네랄수(HSMW)를 첨가한 복합물(MIX)이 항산화 활성 및 알코올을 투여한 쥐의 혈중 알코올 농도와 체내 알코올 대사에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검토하였다. 약용식물 추출물에서 복분자, 산수유의 총 페놀 및 플라보노이드 함량이 유의적으로 높게 정량되었으며, DPPH radical scavenging과 SOD 활성에서는 MIX가 유의적으로 높아 항산화 효과를 나타내었다. 혈중 알코올 농도를 측정한 결과에서 10% HSMW 투여군이 대조군의 농도보다 유의적인 차이를 나타내었다. MIX와 CP 투여군은 모든 시간 경과 후에 대조군의 농도보다 유의적인 차이를 나타내었으며 두 군 간의 유의적인 차이는 나타나지 않았지만 고농도가 저농도에 비해 5~10% 더 감소하였다. MIX와 CP 투여군의 간 균질액의 ADH 활성은 정상군에 비해 유의적인 차이를 볼 수 없었으며, ALDH 활성은 MIX와 CP 투여군이 유의적으로 높았다. 또한 혈청 중 간 기능 지표 효소인 GOT, GPT 활성은 MIX 투여군이 정상군과 비슷한 활성을 보여 간 손상이 적었음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 MIX에 함유된 미네랄수(HSMW)인 Zn, Ca, Mg, Mn 등이 알코올 분해 효소 활성을 조절함과 동시에 약용식물 추출물이 항산화 작용을 하여 음주로 인해 발생하는 숙취 증상과 산화적 스트레스를 효과적으로 완화시킬 수 있으며, 체내 알코올 대사에 직 간접적으로 작용해 간 기능의 저하를 방지하는 기능성 숙취 음료로 사용될 것이라고 사료되어진다.

토양개량재와 황토가 준설토의 이화학성과 느릅나무의 초기 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Soil Conditioner and Loess on Physio-Chemical Properties of Dredged Soil and Seedling Height Growth of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica)

  • This research was conducted to compare the effect of soil amendment and loess on physial and chemical properties of dredged soil and primary height growth of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica. Three types of research plots: control plot (Dredged soil only), DC treatment plot (Dredged soil + soil amendment) and DCL treatment plot (Dredged soil + soil amendment + Loess) were set at Okgu research site in Saemanguem. 32 trees of U. davidiana var. japonica were planted in each plots after 14 months from the construction. Soil texture, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter (OM), total nitrogen (TN), available P, exchangeable cation ($K^+$, $Na^+$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$) and sodium chloride were measured after 3 years from the construction. Also, survival rate and height of U. davidiana var. japonica were measured 22 months after planting, and the correlation between height of trees and the physico-chemical properties of soil were analyzed. Even though pH in both DC and DCL treatment plots are lower than control plot, they are still alkaline (> pH 8). OM, TN and available P in both DC and DCL treatment were higher than the control. Particularly, the content of available P in both DC and DCL treatment plots are 1.4~5.1 times and 2.0~3.1 times higher than the control respectively. The concentration of exchangeable Mg in DCL treatment plot was 1.1~5.5 times higher than the control (p < .05). The survival rate of the species was the highest in DCL treatment plot (98%) followed by DC treatment plot and the control. The average height of the trees in both DC and DCL treatment plots is 1.1m while the control is 0.8m. OM, TN, available P, K+ were significantly related to the height of U. davidiana var. japonica(p < .01). The results indicate that soil amendment affects on soil physial and chemical properties of dredged soil and height growth of U. davidiana var. japonica.

대구ㆍ경북지역 대장직장암 환자의 식사관련 위험인자의 분석 (I) -대장직장암 환자의 일상생활 패턴 및 식행동 특성- (Analysis of Dietary Risk Factors of the Colorectal Cancer Patients in DaeguㆍKyungpook Area, Korea (I) - A Study on Lifestyle and Eating Behaviors of the Colorectal Cancer Patients -)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the characteristics of lifestyle and dietary habits of the colorectal cancer patients in Daegu and Kyungpook areas and to collect the data useful for nutrition education for the prevention of colorectal cancer in this community. The case subjects of the study were 123 patients diagnosed recently as colorectal cancer at Kyungpook National University Hospital. The control subjects were 182 persons who did not have any gastrointestinal diseases, including the patients from the department of orthopedic surgery and healthy volunteers. The survey covering general characteristics, life style, dietary habits, eating behaviors, and food intake frequency was administered by individual interviews using questionnaires. The results of the study suggest that high BMI, daily life stress, pessimistic personality, lack of physical activities, and familial cancer history might be the possible risk factors for the incidence of colorectal cancer. Dietary factors suspected as risk factors for colorectal cancer in the present study included strong preferences to meats, salty and fatty taste foods, low intake of water, alcohol drinking, smoking, coffee intake and irregular eating habits. A high consumption of seaweeds, green-yellow vegetables, light-colored vegetables, and green tea was suggested as a preventive factor for colorectal cancer. It is recommended to conduct more extensive and systematic surveys in the near future to reconfirm the risk factors of colorectal cancer in consideration of the characteristic food culture in this community. 경북 동해안 지역 식생활 문화에 관한 연구(I) - 일상식과 특별식 - (The Study of Dietary Culture in East Cot Area in Kyungpook Province (I) - for Normal and Particular Folk Meals -)

  • The present study was surveyed for the normal meal and particular folk meal in east cot area in Kyungpook province, Pohang, Youngduk, and Uljin areas. The results are as below: Most subjects for surveying were 30-40 years old and permanent residents in those areas. For the normal meal, the boiled rice was the top main dishes among 18 main dishes. The folloing upper five main dishes were boiled bean rice, boiled barley rice, boiled miscellaneous cereals rice, noodles, and Bbimbab (miced rice with cooked various vegetables and meats). Less frequent main dishes were raw fish Bbimbab and the various fish soups etc. The two upper side dishes, out of 17 surveyed ones, were kimchi and soybean paste soup. Twelve dishes(about 70%) out of 17 side dishes, the loach soup, the marinated and fermented raw fishes (fish Sikhae'), the baked mackerel, the pickled fishes, the friedsardine, the green seaweed, and the quid, etc. were made from the sea products. For the particular folk meal, about 30 kinds of the specific folk food items of this area were surveyed: Gudungchi' Sikhae', which was made with seaweed, out of the 11 kinds of fish Sikhae', raw fish(Whae') in water, Sigumjang', a salty agar, a steamed seaweed which was covered with the flour or bean power the various kinds of fish soups, the various kinds of fish stews were the particular folk side dishes in these areas. The dietary habit in these east coast areas were affected by the various sea food products, the fishes and the seaweeds, which were acquired easily through four season in these area.

감식초 농축액들의 향기성분 분석에 대한 전자코의 적용 (Application of Electronic Nose for Aroma Analysis of Persimmon Vinegar Concentrates)

  • 새로이 개발되어 식품과학 분야에 도입되기 시작한 conducting polymer로 구성된 32개의 센서를 장착한 전자코를 이용하여 감식초의 농축시 향기성분의 변화를 측정하고 그 데이터를 관능검사와 비교 분석하여, 감식초의 향기성분 분석에 전자코의 활용가능성 여부를 알아보았다. 관능검사와 유기산 분석결과는 감식초 농축액들간의 농축정도에 따른 향기성분 및 유기산 함량의 변화와 차이를 분명히 나타내고 있었으나, conducting polymer로 이루어진 32개의 센서 array가 장착된 전자코는 감식초의 농축 정도에 따른 향기 성분의 패턴 변화를 감지하지 못하고 모두 같은 패턴으로 나타내주고 있어서 conducting polymer 센서가 장착된 전자코는 감식초의 향기성분 분석에는 적합하지 않은 것으로 판단된다.

화이트소스를 첨가한 굴(Crassostrea gigas) 통조림의 제조 및 특성 (Preparation and Characterization of Canned Oyster Crassostrea gigas in White Sauce)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the composition of canned oyster Crassotrea gigas in white sauce (CO-WS). The proximate composition of CO-WS was 74.1% water, 10.4% crude protein, 4.9% crude lipid, and 3.1% ash. The energy converted based on these percentages was 112.2 kcal/100 g, while the salinity was 1.1 g/100 g. In a taste-intensity test using an electronic tongue, the CO-WS showed higher umami taste intensity than the control (canned oyster in commercial white sauce), whereas the intensities of the other tastes (salty, sour, bitter, and sweet) were lower. Because the odor intensity was low, CO-WS was considered to have a relatively weak odor and showed no difference in hardness compared to the control. Sensory evaluation of CO-WS by a panel yielded higher scores for appearance, taste, and texture, and a lower score for flavor compared to the control. The total amino acid content of CO-WS was 8.91 g/100 g, and its major amino acids were aspartic acid, glutamic acid, and leucine. With respect to mineral content, CO-WS had higher calcium and lower zinc contents than the control. These results suggest that CO-WS has excellent nutritional value.

염분 관개용수가 토양의 성질과 작물생산량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Salty Irrigation Water on Soil Properties and Crop Yields)

  • 미국 Utah주의 huntington 화력발전소에서 냉각수를 사용하고 버리는 염분농도가 4mmhos/cm 정도로 높아 자연하천으로 그대로 방류 시킬 수 없으며, 미 환경법에 따라 안전처리후 방류할 수 있다. 따라서 이 염분발생 처리방법의 하나로 보리, 밀, 옥수수, 감자 그리고 알팔파등 사료작물의 관개용수로 이용할 수 있는 방법이 장기간 시험연구되고 있다. 현재로서는 이 방법이 경제적인 것으로 평가되고 있으나 장기적으로 이 염분폐수로 인한 토양의 성질변화 작용의 생산량 감소등에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위해서 1977년에 시작하여 8년 연속 연구사업으로 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지난 8년간(1977~1984년)의 관측.조사자료를 이용하여 염분 관개용수가 장기적으로 생산량 추정과 계획예측을 위한 자발성과 토양수분변화를 추정할 수 있는 모형에 의하여 연구한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. EC 4mmhos/cm의 염분 관개용수로 8년간 장기간 추출한 결과, 추출용수의 양에 관계내 염분축적은 예상보다 서서히 진행되었으며, 이 염분축적이 작물의 생산량 감소의 주원인은 아니었다. 2. 지난 2년간의 관측 결과, 염분 관개용수에 함유된 10ppm정도의 요소가 작물 특히 보리, 옥수수, 감자등의 생산량 감소의 주원인 것으로 판단된다. 염분용수 진개구에는 하천수 보다 20배가 많은 요소가 축적돼 있었으며, 이는 요소가 토양내에 잘 침투되며, 토양으로 부터 요소를 용달시키려는 염분을 용달시킬 때 보다 후러씬 더 많은 용달용수를 필요로함을 뜻한 작물들의 면요소성을 구명하기위한 모형개발이 요구된다. 3. 염분관개용수로 관개할 때 보리, 옥수수, 감자등의 작물 생산량과 풍작물 생산량은 현저하게 감소하였다. 보리, 옥수수의 염분용수에 의한 생산량과 하천수에 의한 생산량과의 비는 풍건물의 경우 0.6, 매물의 경우 0.5였으며 감자의 경우는 0.2이하였다. 4. 염분용수 관개구와 하천수 관개구의 모든작물에서 풍건물 생산량과 축배량 사이에는 강한 직선적인 관계를 보였다. 보리, 감자의 작물 생산량과 축배량사이에도 선형의 관계가 성립되었으나, 밀과 옥수수의 매물 생산량과 축배량사이에는 곡선적인 관계를 나타내었다.

간척지 인근 농경지에서의 비산 및 부유먼지 확산 모니터링(I) : 군산 모니터링 (Monitoring of the Fugitive and Suspended Dust Dispersion at the Reclaimed Land and Neighboring Farms : Monitoring in Gunsan)

  • A study on fugitive dust dispersion was conducted at Saemanguem reclaimed area located at the west coastal area of Jeon-buk Province Total reclaimed area is 40,100ha developed by building a 33km long sea dike through Gunsan, Gimje, and Buan. (Land: 28,300ha, Fresh Water Lake: 11,800ha) After this area was completely reclaimed in 2006, there has been high possibility of dust generation and dispersion to the neighboring area. The dust generated at the reclaimed land was composed mainly of minerals with high salinity, and it could make harmful effect on crop production as well on to human's health such as eye irritation and respiratory disease. Especially, when those aerosol particles are reached on the leaves of farm crops, the photosynthesis and respiration of the plants can be under restraint resulting in the decrease of agricultural productivity of the nearby farm areas. Furthermore, highly concentrated salty particles can directly damage the leaf cells. In this study, field experiment has been conducted to regularly measure the locally suspended dust particles and analyze how they were dispersed to the neighboring areas. The collected dust particles were analyzed to examine theirs sizes, concentrations, and components. The SPSS statistical program was also used to separate the dust concentration generated by the reclaimed land from the total dust concentration measured at the measuring locations.

누에 동충하초(Paecilomyces japonica)를 첨가하여 제조한 고추장의 품질특성 변화에 관한 연구

  • Change in Quality properties of the Kochujang Prepared with the powder of Paecilomyces japonica and extract of p. japonica by different solvents were investigated during 90 days of fermentation at 20$^{\circ}C$. The moisture content was not significantly different, pH of Kochuiang made with p. japonica was lower than control group and decreased continuously according to the fermentation time. Amino nitrogen continuously increased till 60 days and decreased slightly on 90 days. Amino nitrogen of Kochujang made with P. japonica was higher than control group and was highest on 30 days and 60 days by 179.2mg% and 282.2mg% respectively. Value of L, a, b in Color decreased with proportion to fermentation period and L, a, b value of Kochujang made with P. japonica was lower and in particular that of Kochujang made with P. japonica powder was lowest. from the result of sensory evaluation test, the color of control group was similar to“clear red”but that of Kochojang made with powder of P. japonica was close to“dark reddish brown”and that of Kochujang made with extract of P. japonica was darker than that of control group and the preference of dark color was low. Texture was“glossy and smooth”in all and preference was high. In salty taste, the Kochujang by P. japonica addition was stronger and Kochujang made with extract was stronger than that made with powder. In hot taste, the Kochujang made with P. japonica was weaker than control group and the Kochujang made with P. japonica was scored higher in flavor than control group and Kochujang made with powder of P. japonica was the highest in score. In overall preference, the Kochujang made with P. japonica was better than control group like the result of flavor but expecially Kochujang made with water extract of P. japonica among the extract was best one unlike the result of flavor.

  • 콘크리트는 내구성이 우수하고 경제적이기 때문에 강재와 더불어 건설재료로서 가장 많이 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 최근 들어 여러 연구결과와 현장점검 결과에 의하면 노출환경과 사용재료에 따라 내구성이 저하되어 실제 구조물에 심각한 문제를 일으키는 것으로 조사되고 있다. 우리나라는 삼면이 바다로 이루어져 있어 염해 피해 가능지역이 많을 뿐만 아니라 도시집중화에 따른 배기가스에 의한 중성화 현상이 심하게 발생하고 있다. 즉 염해와 중성화에 의한 철근부식이 발생할 가능성이 어느 나라 못지 않게 높다고 말할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 철근부식을 억제 또는 방지 가능한 물질에 대해 철근부식시험을 실시하여 방청효과를 검토하여, 그 결과를 바탕으로 콘크리트로의 침투성능 및 방청성능을 고려하여 도포형 철근부식억제제를 개발하였다.
