염석법을 이용한 비공유 기능기화된 그래핀 나노플레이트렛의 분리 공정 연구 (Separation of Non-covalently Functionalized Graphene Nanoplatelets via Salting-out Process)

  • 그래핀 나노플레이트렛(GNP)은 현시점에서 가장 산업화 적용에 가까운 그래핀으로 알려져 있다. 하지만 현재 GNP는 그 우수한 생산량에도 불구하고 응집현상과 물리화학적 불균질성으로 인해 복합재에서의 강화재로 사용되기에는 제한이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 GNP의 문제 해결을 위해 산업화 레벨의 대량생산 공정으로 확장 가능한 비공유 기능기화공정을 이용하여 GNP를 기능기화하였다. 본 기능기화 공정은 저렴한 물질로 알려진 멜라민을 사용하여 GNP의 응집현상을 방지하는 동시에 극성 용매내에서의 분산성을 향상시켰다. 뿐만 아니라 기능기화된 GNP의 분산성의 차이를 이용한 염석법 공정을 적용, GNP를 크기 별로 정제하였다. 이처럼 본 연구는 언급한 기능기화와 분리 공정을 기반으로 하여 GNP의 복합소재/부품 산업 응용을 위한 전략을 제시하였다.

친수성 고분자의 코팅을 통한 Poly(acrylonitrile) 나노복합중공사막의 제조 및 성능 연구 (Studies on Preparation and Performance of Poly(acrylonitrile) Nano-composite Hollow Fiber Membrane through the Coating of Hydrophilic Polymers)

  • 본 연구에서는 다공성 Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) 중공사막을 지지체막으로 하여 Poly styrene sulfonic acid (PSSA)와 polyethyleneimine (PEI)을 이용하여 layer-by-layer법으로 선택층을 형성시켰다. 코팅용액에 Mg염을 첨가하여 염석법(salting out method)을 이용하였다. 코팅용액의 이온세기, 고분자 농도, 코팅시간 등을 달리하여 나노여과막을 제조하였으며 NaCl, $MgCl_2$, $CaSO_4$ 100 mg/L를 공급액으로 하여 2 atm의 구동 압력에서 투과도와 염 배제율을 평가하였다. PSSA 20,000 ppm, 코팅시간 3분, 이온세기 1.0, PEI 30,000 ppm, 코팅시간 1분, 이온세기 0.1의 조건으로 코팅한 막이 가장 우수한 성능을 보여 주었다. 100 ppm의 NaCl, $MgCl_2$, $CaSO_4$ 공급액에서 각각 20.4, 19.4, 18.7 LMH의 투과도와 67, 90, 66.6%의 염 배제율을 나타내었다.

부타놀 추출법을 이용한 2-thiothiazolidine-4-carboxilic acid와 thiocarbamide의 동시정량에 관한 연구 (Simultaneous analysis for 2-thiothiazolidine-4-carboxilic acid and thiocarbamide using butanol extraction method)

  • This study was conducted to supplement limit of previous study, The objectives of this study were to select optimal conditions of high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) operation for detecting urinary 2-thiothiazolicline-4-carboxylic acid(TTCA) and thiocarbamide simultaneously, and to evaluate recovery rates for various liquid-liquid extration method of these metabolites, The results are as follows : 1. The urinary TTCA and thiocarbamide were separate sharply when flow rate is $0.7m{\ell}/min$, using a series $C_8$ and $C_{18}$ column, 50 mM $KH_2PO_4$ : acetonitrile (93.5 : 6.5) and pH 3.5 as a mobile phase. The retention time was TTCA, $12.07{\pm}0.11$(mean${\pm}$SD, n=06), thiocarbamide, $7.85{\pm}0.01$ (mean${\pm}$SD, n=6), respectively. The calibration curve for TTCA and thiocarbamide was linear within the range 0.05 to $30{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. 2. By the liquid-liquid extration, butanol extration with $(NH_4)_2$ as a salting-out reagent was used as a simultaneous extration method for these metabolites in acid state, and recovery rates of this method are urinary TTCA, $49.6{\pm}17.7$ (mean${\pm}$SD, n=16), thiocarbamide, $43,9{\pm}5.50$ (mean${\pm}$SD, n=16), respectively 3. The precision(pooled coefficients of variation for 4 concentration) of the urinary thiocarbamide analysis was 0.03754 by butanol liquid-liquid extraction with $(NH_4)_2$ as a salting-out reagent, and TTCA was 0.04082 by ethyl acetate liquid-liquid extration with $(NH_4)_2$ as a salting out reagent The above results show that the butanol liquid-liquid extraction with $(NH_4)_2$ as a salting-out reagent in acid state, and using a series $C_8$ and $C_{18}$ column, 50 mM $KH_2PO_4$ : acetonitrile (93.5 : 6.5) and pH 3.5 as a mobile phase are suitable for the analysis of urinary TTCA and thiocarbamide simultaneously. The detection limit of TTCA and thiocarbamide was about $0.17{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, $0.07{\mu}g/m{\ell}$.

해양 심층수염을 이용한 무 절임시 품질특성 변화 (Changes of Quality Characteristics of Radishes Salted with Deep Seawater Salt)

  • 해양 심층수염과 천일염을 이용하여 무를 절임할 경우 수축율, 염도, 물성의 특성 변화를 관찰하였다. 해양 심층수염을 가지고 무를 절임할 경우 품질 변화를 살펴본 결과 수축률은 절임 8시간 이후에 해양심층수염으로 절임한 경우가 천일염으로 절임한 경우보다 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 해양심층수염이 천일염보다 더 높은 염도를 나타내며 절임 되었다. 젤리강도는 절임시간이 증가함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타내었으며, 절임 염도가 높을수록 젤리강도는 낮아지는 경향을 나타내었다. 염장시간 초기때는 해양 심층수염이 천일염보다 젤리강도를 더 낮게 낮추는 것으로 나타났으며 염장시간 16시간 이후부터는 해양 심층수염이 천일염보다 더높은 젤리 강도를 나타내는 경향을 나타내었다. 무의 연도는 심층수염이 천일염보다 높은 값을 나타냄으로서 해양 심층수염에 절일 때 더 부드러운 물성을 나타냄을 볼 수 있었다. 견고성은 해양 심층수염에 절임하는 것이 천일염에 절임하는 것보다 더 높은 값을 나타났다. 해양 심층수염이 천일염보다 빨리 무 조직에 손상을 줌으로 절임을 단축시키지만 절임시간이 연장되면 오히려 무 조직의 손상을 완화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 차이는 김치맛과 발효에도 영향을 미치는 품질 요인이 될 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 해양 심층수염을 이용하여 김치 발효시 특성 변화에 대한 더 구체적인 연구가 필요하리라 사료된다.

  • 질산암모늄(AN)과 potassium dinitramide(KDN)의 수용액으로부터 염석법에 의해 상안정화 질산암모늄(PSAN)을 제조하는 방법을 나타내었다. 침전제로 사용된 유기 용매는 아세토니트릴이었다. 침전된 결정들의 DSC 분석결과 이들 결정들이 PSAN임을 확인하였고, 침전된 결정중의 KDN 함량이 약 6 무게 % 이상일 때 $0^{\cire}C$에서 $80^{\cire}C$의 온도 범위내에서 AN이 안정화되었다. 제조된 결정들은 고체 로켓 추진제 및 폭약 둥의 제조에서 산화제로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

Dehydration and pore swelling effects on the transfer of PEG through NF membranes

  • In order to investigate the significance of "salting-out" and "pore swelling" effects on the nanofiltration of neutral solutes, rejection properties of two NF ceramic and polymeric membranes were studied with single polyethyleneglycol (PEG) solution and mixed PEG/inorganic electrolyte solutions. For both membranes, the rejection rate of PEG was found to decrease significantly in the presence of ions. In the case of the ceramic membrane (rigid pores), this phenomenon was imputed to the sole partial dehydration of PEG molecules induced by the surrounding ions. This assumption was confirmed by the lowering of the PEG rejection rates which followed the Hofmeister series. Experimental data were used to compute the resulting decrease in the Stokes radius of PEG molecules in the presence of the various salts. Concerning the polymeric membrane, the decrease in the rejection rate was found to be systematically higher than for the ceramic membrane. The additional decrease was then ascribed to the swelling of the pores. The experimental data of rejection rates were then used to compute the variation in the mean pore radius in the presence of the various salts. The pore swelling phenomenon due to accumulation of counterions inside pores was supported by electrokinetic charge density measurements.

김치 모재료 채소의 질산염 함량 분포와 배추 염장처리 및 김치 조리방법에 따른 질산염 함량 변화 (Distribution of Nitrate Content in Vegetables for Kimchi Raw Material and Changes of Nitrate Content by Salting of Chinese Cabbage and by Cooking Process of Kimchi)

  • This study aims to find out the devices to minimize the amount of nitrate ingested from kimchi, the main way of vegetable intake for Koreans, and the basic data to deliver to calculate the total daily intake for Korean, investigating the year-round changes of nitrate content in vegetables for Kimche raw material, and changes of nitrate content by salting of chinese cabbage, and stewed kimchi through the use of different cooking methods. The results obtained were summarized as follow: over between 205-6655mg/kg f.w. in chinese cabbage, 480-3970mg/kg f.w. in chinese radish, 157-5820mg/kg f.w. in lettuce and 29-520mg/kg f.w. in cucumber respectively. Therefore it was strongly adviced to introduce the nitrate limit value of vegetables in Korea if the nitrate content in Kimchi should be reduced to meet the nitrate ADI(Acceptable Daily Intake, 219mg60kg b.w) of FAO.WHO, because the nitrate content in Kimchi reflects the nitrate content in vegetables. In order to keep the low nitrate content in Kimchi. it was adviced to remove the outer leaf which contains 2-3 times higher nitrate content compare to the inner leaf at the time of preparation, i.e. chinese cabbage, before the soaking treatment in salt solution for Kimchi making process. The dehydration by soaking treatment in salt solution occurred at 0.9%~4.7% in leaf midrib and more than 13%~24% in leaf blade. The nitrate content after soaking in salt solution was increased 107%~123% compared with before soaking, increasing rates of nitrate content in the outer and inner leaf midrib were higher than those in leaf blade. The increase of nitrate content in salt solution after soaking due to the dehydration of chinese cabbage by soaking treatment. The Kimchi stew(Kimchi JJige) was processed with and without animal oil, but the amount of nitrate in kimchi stew did not decrease both treatments, but it increased after the processing since the water in Kimchi stew has got low by boiling.

폴리올 농도를 변화시킨 계면활성제 혼합물의 유변학적 거동 (Rheological Behaviour of Surfactant Mixtures by Varying the Concentration of Polyols)

  • We have investigated the effects of polyols and NaCl on the rheological behaviours of surfactant mixtures. Sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES), cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB), disodium cocoamphodiacetate (DSCA), cocamide DEA (CDEA) and lauroyl/myristoyl DEA (LMDE) were used as surfactants. The polyols added into the surfactant mixture were 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerin, sorbitol, dipropylene glycol, PEG 1500 and PEG 400. The addition of amphoteric surfactant to SLES aqueous solution lead to increase the height of foam and the viscosity of the system. The addition of nonionic surfactant, LMDE or CDEA to the SLES aqueous solution increased the viscosity and the effect of LMDE was better than that of CDEA. The effect of adding polyols and NaCl into the surfactant mixture aqueous solution lead to increase or decrease the viscosity of the systems depending on the concentration of NaCl and the kinds of polyols. These results can be explained through the salting in or salting out of surfactant of the systems.

Development of spherical crystallization technique and its application to pharmaceutical systems

  • A novel agglomeration technique, termed "Spherical Crystallization Process", which can transform directly the fine crystals produced in the crystallization or the reaction process into a spherical shape was developed. By this technique, needle like crystals such as salicylic acid were transformed into free flowing and directly compressible agglomerates. Sphericaly agglomerated aminophyline crystals were obtained directly from the reaction system, which could reduce the preparation processes, e. g. synthesis, crystallization and agglomeration, into only one step. Sodium theophyline monohydrate agglomerates were prepared by salting out, the rate process of which was described by a first order kinetics. Agglomerated crystals of ndw complex of indo-methacin-mepirizole were prepare with this technique; an improved therapeutic effect of the resultant crystals was expected. expected.

  • This thesis related to a reactive black dyes containing acetoxyethyl sulfone moiety which is characterized by lessening the loss of dyes in filtering process owing to the low solubility by introducing the aminophenyl- $\beta$ -acetoxyethyl sulfone moiety, saving the cost for waste water treatment by using a small amount of salt in salting-out process and furthermore obtaining bright color with high dyeing yield and substantivity.
