  • For the collection of indigenous prokaryotic species in Korea, 77 strains within the phylum Actinobacteria were isolated from various environmental samples, fermented foods, animals and clinical specimens in 2019. Each strain showed high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity (>98.8%) and formed a robust phylogenetic clade with actinobacterial species that were already defined and validated with nomenclature. There is no official description of these 77 bacterial species in Korea. The isolates were assigned to 77 species, 31 genera, 18 families, 14 orders and 2 classes of the phylum Actinobacteria. All the strains except one Coriobacteriia strain were affiliated within the class Actinomycetia. Among them, the orders Streptomycetales and Microbacteriales were predominant. A number of strains were isolated from forest soils, riverside soils, and ginseng cultivated soils. Twenty-nine strains were isolated from 'Protected Ecosystem and Scenery Areas'. Morphological properties, basic biochemical characteristics, isolation source and strain IDs are described in the species descriptions.

  • Purpose: Former research has argued that organizations in distribution channels face several issues to make a better team-based system. The purpose of the present research is to measure between employee's job performance and three major issues which disturb a solid team system. Research design, data and methodology: Scant past studies are available to guide for team practitioners which elements should be eliminated to improve team performance. To achieve this goal, the present authors obtained 267 US workers in distribution channels and conducted ANOVA test to measure the relationship between three team issues (Free-rider, Trust, and Communication) and job performance. Results: Our statistical findings clearly suggests that there was a statistically recognizable difference at the significance level of probability between the mean value of employees' job performance and three major issues, showing the high degree of job performance can be occurred by eliminating three major team issues. Conclusions: Therefore, the present research concludes that it is necessary that team-based management in the supply chain should focus on removing free-rider issues and also adopt open communication lines to overcome team-building challenges due to communication. Above all else, the ability to increase trust can be enhanced via task delegation and more team members' engagement.

  • This study analyzed how Kruchenikh's opera, "Victory over the Sun", performed in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 1913, contributed to the birth of Malevich's Suprematism in 1915, and how the forms and features of the costumes were expressed in the opera's content. The results of the study are as follows: First, the theoretical background of the opera, "Victory over the Sun" was limited to Suprematism and non-objective art, which was divided into analytical cubism, cubo-futurism, and Uspensky's four-dimensional concept of space. Second, to reveal that Suprematism, appeared in the form of non-objective abstract art, was possible with the set and costume design of "Victory over the Sun," the set design was analyzed. Third, to reveal that Malevich's Suprematism was influenced by "Victory over the Sun," the study considered the characteristics of Suprematism in "Victory over the Sun". Finally, Malevich's Suprematism art costumes expressed in "Victory over the Sun" were divided into geometric spatial structures, images of black & white, mechanical human images, and images of warriors and the characteristics of each costume were considered. Malevich's "Victory over the Sun" showed a significant impact not only on the birth of Suprematism but also on the development of the non-objective art & costumes.

  • This paper is concerned with the buckling behavior of functionally graded graphene reinforced porous nanocomposite beams based on the finite element method (FEM) using two variables trigonometric shear deformation theory. Both Young's modulus and material density of the FGP beam element are simultaneously considered as grading through the thickness of the beam. The finite element approach is developed using a nonlocal strain gradient theory. The governing equations derived here are solved introducing a 3-nodes beam element, and then the critical buckling load is calculated with different porosity distributions and GPL dispersion patterns. After a convergence and validation study to verify the accuracy of the present model, a comprehensive parametric study is carried out, with a particular focus on the effects of weight fraction, distribution pattern of GPL reinforcements on the Buckling behavior of the nanocomposite beam. The effects of various structural parameters such as the dispersion patterns for the graphene and porosity, thickness ratio, boundary conditions, and nonlocal and strain gradient parameters are brought out. The results indicate that porosity distribution and GPL pattern have significant effects on the response of the nanocomposite beams, and the results allows to identify the most effective way to achieve improved buckling behavior of the porous nanocomposite beam.

  • Soft-pressure sensors have numerous applications in soft robotics, biomedical devices, and wearable smart devices. Herein, we present a highly sensitive electronic skin device with an isotropic wrinkled pressure sensor. A conductive ink for soft pressure sensors is produced by a solution process using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), poly 3-hexylthiophene (P3HT), carbon black, and chloroform as the solvents. P3HT provides high reproducibility and conductivity by improving the ink dispersibility. The conductivity of the ink is optimized by adjusting the composition of the carbon black and PDMS. Soft lithography is used to fabricate a conductive elastic structure with an isotropic wrinkled structure. Two conductive elastic structures with an isotropic wrinkle structure is stacked to develop a pressure sensor, and it is confirmed that the isotropic wrinkle structure is more sensitive to pressure than when two elastic structures with an anisotropic wrinkle structure are overlapped. Specifically, the pressure sensor fabricated with an isotropic wrinkled structure can detect extremely low pressures (1.25 Pa). Additionally, the sensor has a high sensitivity of 15.547 kpa-1 from 1.25 to 2500 Pa and a linear sensitivity of 5.15 kPa-1 from 2500 Pa to 25 kPa.

  • The present study conducts a thorough analysis of thermal vibrations in functionally graded porous nanocomposite beams within a thermal setting. Investigating the temperature-dependent material properties of these beams, which continuously vary across their thickness in accordance with a power-law function, a finite element approach is developed. This approach utilizes a nonlocal strain gradient theory and accounts for a linear temperature rise. The analysis employs four different patterns of porosity distribution to characterize the functionally graded porous materials. A novel two-variable shear deformation beam nonlocal strain gradient theory, based on trigonometric functions, is introduced to examine the combined effects of nonlocal stress and strain gradient on these beams. The derived governing equations are solved through a 3-nodes beam element. A comprehensive parametric study delves into the influence of structural parameters, such as thicknessratio, beam length, nonlocal scale parameter, and strain gradient parameter. Furthermore, the study explores the impact of thermal effects, porosity distribution forms, and material distribution profiles on the free vibration of temperature-dependent FG nanobeams. The results reveal the substantial influence of these effects on the vibration behavior of functionally graded nanobeams under thermal conditions. This research presents a finite element approach to examine the thermo-mechanical behavior of nonlocal temperature-dependent FG nanobeams, filling the gap where analytical results are unavailable.
