Three-hundred samples of powdered infant formula milk and related products from four different manufacturers in 2010 were collected and surveyed their contaminations for aerobic bacteria, coliform, Enterobacter(Cronobacter) sakazakii, and food-borne pathogens. Fifteen samples of sterilized infant formula milk were all negative on these microorganisms. In all collected products of un sterilized infant formulas and follow-on infant formulas, aerobic bacteria were detected at 239 (83.9%) among 285 samples, and they all were found below $10^3$ cfu/g. Coliform bacteria were also detected at four among 285 samples. Salmonella spp. and Ent. sakazakii, weren't detected at the all samples. Bacillus cereus was detected at 24 (8.4%) among 285 samples. The level of B. cereus was below 100 cfu/g but it was suitable for the range of specification of B. cereus in infant formulas. Clostridium perjringens, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes weren't also detected. In consequence, it was suitable for total viable count, coliform and potential pathogen to the specification of infant formulas and related products.
This work has been conducted as a part to set up the regulations and the scientific evaluation systems for the functional dairy products with health claims in Korea. Toward this end, current regulations, requirements, and all kinds of provisions related to the functional dairy products overseas were taken into accounts and feasible recommendations of new initiatives on the current regulations as well. By doing so, not only protecting hopefully the innocent consumers from the false labeling statements and fake advertisements, but also eventually to revitalize the stagnated domestic dairy industries. Currently, functional daily products are simply regarded as "Dietary Supplements" in the United States, and subjected to the regulations under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, established m 1994. Manufacturers and sales distributors should notify their products to the FDA, which is in charge of the dietary supplements on nutrition and labeling, in advance when they start marketing a new dietary ingredient or any foods containing it in the States. For EU countries, there exists keen interests about the functional food products between the member countries of the European Union even though the products are categorized into "Food Supplements" similar to those in the United States. Therefore, they maintain a cautious attitude in applying the health claims to the functional food products. On the other hand, under the Japanese health food system, functional foods are qualified to the functional health foods in terms of legal status as long as any traditional foods can meet the legal standards in its effectiveness, safety as well as quality, along with significant scientific evidences related to the products, thus categorized into "Foods for Specified Health Uses and "Foods with Nutrient Function Claims". Through this study, we may have some expectations and potential utilizations as follows: Legal regulations of dietary supplements especially for the dairy products will be implemented by the outcomes of this research and proposed a tentative amendment of functional ingredients for the sake of consumer protection from the false advertisements and overstatement labeling. Current regulations on the animal foods processing and advertisements will be amended and supplemented in order to revitalize the current downturn dairy sales and to harmonize the international Codex recommendations. The results obtained from this study will make the consumers a wise selection of the dairy products with health claims and be utilized for consumer education and advertisement of the functional products as well.
Purpose - The environment-friendly agricultural product market in Korea sees continual high growth. Recently, the Korean government has been actively fostering environment-friendly agriculture as an engine of future growth. Korean people have increasingly become more health-conscious and interested in food safety issues. Many distribution and retailing companies have responded with various promotional activities. However, most of these are not strategic and appear to have unsatisfactory outcomes. The main purpose of this paper is to suggest effective marketing strategies for environment-friendly agricultural products. To achieve this aim, the study empirically investigates the effects of consumer characteristics and trust on the purchase intention of environment-friendly agricultural products. Research design, data, methodology - Based on the theory of planned behavior, and previous studies related to the purchase intention and consumption of environment-friendly agricultural products, we set up five study hypotheses. These related to the demographic characteristics of consumers, purchase intention, and behavior of the products. We then set up a study model and four study hypotheses relating to health consciousness, environmental consciousness, consumer trust level, purchase intention, and behavior of the products. The data were collected using a questionnaire given to consumers living in Seoul and southern Geonggi Province. The final sample size is 403 and mean age is 44.3. SPSS 15.0 for Windows and Amos 7.0 were used as statistical analysis tools. Meaningful results were derived using frequency analysis, correlation analysis, a t-test, and structural equation modeling. Results - Empirical results of this research are as follows. (1) First, it is shown that consumers consider such attributes as intimacy and health to be important when they buy environment-friendly agricultural products. (2) We also found that consumers recognize the value of environment-friendly agricultural products as high, but their trust level as low. (3) Consumer groups consisting of married couples, with higher education, higher income, and higher age are shown to have a higher intention of buying environment-friendly agricultural products than any other consumer group. (4) It is estimated that the level of consumer trust positively affects the purchase intention of environment-friendly agricultural products. The path coefficient (.138) between consumer trust and purchase intention is statistically significant at the α = .05 level. (5). It is also estimated that environmental consciousness positively affects purchase intention. The path coefficient (.245) between environmental consciousness and purchase intention is statistically significant at the α = 0.05 level. The standardized path coefficients of consumer trust and environmental consciousness with purchase intention are .556 and .288 respectively. Therefore, consumer trust affects purchase intention more than environmental consciousness. (6) Finally, purchase intention is estimated to positively affect purchase behavior. Conclusions - Based upon empirical results, this research suggests that marketers of environment-friendly agricultural products should focus more on increasing consumer trust levels, emphasizing the training and education of employees. The government also should pay attention to a standardized certification system for environment-friendly agricultural products. Marketers of environment-friendly agricultural products should consider the consumer groups of married couples, with higher education, higher income, and higher age as a major target segment.
The aglycones of vicine and convicine have been implicated as the causative factors for favism in fababeans. Thus, the presence of these compounds in fababeans is a potential obstacle to the use of fababeans and fababean preparations in foods. Investigations of vicine stability in fababeans and in pure solutions revealed that vicine is very stable, however, divicine derived from vicine by ${\beta}-gIucosidase$ action or by acid hydrolysis is highly unstable at conditions prevalent in food processing. Therefore, the possibility of incorporating of ${\beta}-gIucosidase$ in food products containing fababean preparations was suggested to overcome potential risks of favism related to the consumption of fababean fortified products.

The paper investigates the antecedents of Organic Food (OF) produce in Vietnam and the intentions and behavior of OF purchasers. A theoretical framework is developed and evaluated by simulation of the structural model. Data was collected from a convenient sample of 222 consumers from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The selection included 159 (72%) women, who were identified as being the primary buyers of organic food for their family (73%). Findings suggest food hygiene issues and conscientious self-identity as the much beneficial determinants of organic production perceptions. Because of the results in this report, the consideration for food security has gained little research consideration throughout the field of organic produce. Food safety concerns are also related to academics exploring consumer confidence as they might be regarded as one of their aspects in selecting standard, natural or health food products. Findings suggest food security as one of the essential determinants of motivation, while health awareness purports to become the least significant motivation, contrary to observations from certain previous studies. However, it is observed that moral personality-identity influences both perceptions and willingness to buy organic food, stressing that the association of participants with ethical concerns influences their perceptions and eventual choices of consumption.
As IT industries grow rapidly, many kinds of problems related to information security have gained force. Demands for information security products such as firewall, Intrusion Detection System have grown and the reliability and the safety of information security products is gathering strength. The evaluation for information security products is putting in operation, but developers have a difficulty in timely presenting their products due to long time for the evaluation. In this paper, we suggest the efficient elevation method for information security product by improving the development process in order to meet the assurance requirements of the Common Criteria.

Recently, IoT products with various functions are being developed. Through the combination of objects and information technology, convenient services that have not been imagined before are emerging. For a secure IoT environment, product security must be considered. However, the existing IoT products have various problems such as security vulnerability. In order to secure the security of IoT products, technical countermeasures as well as policy responses are needed. However, the legislation related to current IoT products has a limit to guarantee safety in IoT environment. In this paper, we analyze the limitations of the current legal system of IoT, and suggests ways to improve it.

The population of domestic companion animals is estimated to be about 10 million now. In recent years, the domestic pet market has been launching a wide range of products and services for high quality, smart and well-being. As a result, the market size will increase from 900 billion won in 2012 to 2.3 trillion won in 2016, which has more than doubled in five years. The industry expects to reach 6 trillion won by 2020, expecting 3 trillion won this year. In particular, domestic dogs and cats market is estimated at 275.5 billion won, accounting for 19% of the domestic animal market and 1.425 billion won for the world market. However, despite the growing market for companion animals products, unfortunately the import dependence on related industrial goods is still high and the quality of service is very low. Unlike Europe and the United States, 90% of companion animals are housed in apartments, often causing problems in the health and safety of companions and companions. The purpose of this study is to develop a smart house for companion animals with environmental friendliness and AI function that can be won in competition with products of developed countries. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the creation of a new value - added base for the related industries through the strengthening of the competitiveness of the related SMEs and further the effect of employment increase and import substitution.
The purpose of this study is to find risk factors by analyzing the operation principle of a photo coupler (P/C) used to remove the noise of electronic devices and establish a base for the performance improvement of developed products. It was found from the P/C circuit analysis of normal products that they were equipped with an electrolytic condenser of $0.1{\mu}F$ to smooth system signals. Due to the epoxy resin packing the external part of the P/C, this study experienced a limit to visually examine the damage to it. It could be seen from the analysis of electric characteristics of the P/C that the forward voltage ($V_f$) and reverse current ($I_r$) were 1.3 V and 10 uA, respectively. In addition, it is required that the breakdown voltage (VCE) between the collector (C) and emitter (E) be maintained at less than 35 V. The and of the damaged product #1 were comparatively good. However, the measurement of was 100.0 uA. From this, it is thought that a short circuit occurred to the internal circuit. Moreover, from the fact that the of the damaged product #2 was open circuit and the measurement of was 0.0 uA, it is thought that the collector and emitter was separated or insulation resistance was significantly high. Furthermore, from the fact that the of the damaged product #3 was open circuit and the measurement of was 0.0 uA, it is thought that the space between the collector (C) and emitter (E) failed to meet the design standard or that they were separated. Therefore, it is thought that fabricating the P/C by increasing the reverse current 10 mA to 50 mA will prevent its malfunction.

The corrosion rates of the reactor pressure vessel materials of SA508 Grade 3 were measured using a weight loss method in aerated boric acid solutions to simulate the evaporation of leaked PWR primary water in an ambient environment. The corrosion behavior and products were examined using X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. SA508 showed typical general corrosion characteristics. The corrosion rate increased steadily as the boron concentration was increased. As the immersion time elapsed, the corrosion rate slowly or rapidly decreased according to the oxidation reaction of iron. The corrosion rate showed a complicated pattern depending on the temperature; it increased gradually and then rapidly decreased again when reaching a certain transition temperature. The corrosion products of SA508 were found to be FeO(OH), Fe2O3, and Fe3O4. As the boron concentration decreased and the temperature was increased, the formation of Fe3O4 was more favorable as compared to the formation of FeO(OH) and Fe2O3. Consequently, the changes of the corrosion rate and behavior were closely related to the oxidation reaction of iron on the surface. The corrosive damage to SA508 appears to be most severe when the oxidation reaction is such that Fe2O3 forms as a corrosion product.
