The subjects for this study were 251 students from G-college in In-Cheon City. The subjects were separated as the EMT dept. students and general dept student. The instrument used for this study were Lazer. Bonett and Granaff(1973). The scale of attitude on the disabled person. Data were analyzed by use of two-sample t-test and correlation coefficient with SAS program. Results are as follows ; 1. Frist, the EMT Dept. students showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their family life and safety prevention with first impression, but the general dept. student showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their self-consciousness, safety prevention with operative capacity, safety prevention with social life and safety prevention with school life. 2. Second, on attitude of 1 or 2 grade, first grade showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with self-consciousness and safety prevention with operative capacity. • Smart home systems for safety and security are in high demand and always needed for many reasons including people's desire to feel safe in their own houses and to avoid a high rate of crime. In the current research, we investigate the role of individuals' motivational orientation to prevention in their responses to smart home systems for safety and security. That is, this research examines whether individuals' attitudes toward smart home systems for safety and security vary depending on their level of prevention orientation. Specifically, it is hypothesized that individuals with strong (vs. weak) prevention orientation will have more positive attitudes toward smart home systems for safety and security. In support of the hypothesis, the results indicate that respondents in the strong (vs. weak) prevention orientation reported significantly more positive attitudes toward smart home systems for safety and security. Our findings imply that individuals' motivational orientation to prevention may be an effective marketing and segmentation tool in facilitating their favorable responses to the smart home systems for safety and security.

  • This study delivers the actual condition of investment for industrial accident prevention based on survey of 500 construction sites from 'reports far industry safety and health' published by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA). The various research techniques were used such as technical statistic analysis for construction industry, cost comparison of industrial accident prevention and accident loss. A formula was deduced to calculate accident loss and accident frequency by accident prevention cost through regression analysis.

  • To enable effective notification and promotion of the food poisoning prevention, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) developed a mobile augmented reality (AR) game called 'Sik-Jung-Dok-Jop GO', and demonstrated the game at 11 events including Food Safety Day. At the events, we have conducted a field survey of people who have played the game, and evaluated the awareness change of the food poisoning before and after the game. The level of the respondents' awareness about the 3 methods of the food poisoning prevention has been increased by 53 percent after playing the game, the level of awareness about individual food poisoning micro-organism has been improved by 2.1 times. According to the survey, 95% at the respondents answered that the game helped them understand the food poisoning more, and 90% of the respondents said that they enjoyed the game. In conclusion, we believe that 'Sik-Jung-Dok-Jop GO' will be able to create various educative effects on prevention of food poisoning including causative foods, main symptoms, and other related knowledge when the game is widely applied to students in kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools.

  • Recently, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies are attracting attention as core technologies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. These virtual and augmented reality technologies are being used in a variety of industries, including the construction industry, healthcare industry, and manufacturing industry, to innovate in communication and collaboration, education and simulation, customer service and reinvention of the customer experience. In this paper, VR-based experiential safety education was conducted for workers of shipbuilding companies in Ulsan city, and for them, the educational effectiveness such as immersion, site applicability, safety accident prevention, education satisfaction, overall performance, and safety behavior in VR-based safety experience education were measured. In addition, we examined whether the immersion of VR-based safety experience education affects site applicability, safety accident prevention, educational satisfaction, overall performance, and safety behavior. Furthermore, it was analyzed whether site applicability plays a mediating role in the relationship between immersion and safety accident prevention. As a result, it was found that the immersion of VR-based safety experience education affects site applicability, safety accident prevention effect, education satisfaction, overall performance, and safety behavior, and that site applicability mediates between immersion and safety accident prevention. Based on these results, we suggests a direction for the development of VR-based contents in the field of safety and health and the transformation of safety and health education in the future.

  • When a fire breaks out in a distribution center, it causes a lot of damage. And the most casualties are caused by Fire accidents. Therefore, training for fire prevention should be mandatory at the distribution center. Also, the contents of education should be different in room temperature warehouses and low temperature warehouses. Fire education in low-temperature warehouses should be more emphasized. This is because many fires occur in low-temperature warehouses. In this study, a study was conducted to determine the important order of training hours and contents for fire prevention education according to the type of distribution center. The importance of time and content for safety education in all types of warehouses did not differ significantly. It was first decided that safety prevention training should be conducted periodically in all types of warehouses
