The growing importance of product quality is becoming more and more daily apparent as we enter the age of globalization around the world. And the product safety is getting more focus as well as product quality. As a result, many domestic companies are putting a lot of emphasis on safety measures and management activities and these companies' products are mainly superior to other companies' product. When we separate the product quality procedure into 3 steps, i.e. quality secure-quality confirm-quality guarantee, of course the 1st step is the most important, but also 2nd step of product quality confirm process is important. And in mass production environment, sampling inspection is more desirable than the $100\;\%$ inspection procedure. As a part of globalization trend, KS system is also being revised and reestablished based on ISO, IEC, etc. which are based on international standard. Conventional KS sampling inspection standards were in many areas quite different from ISO sampling standards, only KS A 3102, 3104, 3151 are left and the rest become obsolete, and even the ones that are still around are planned to the gone step by step. It has been already 3 years since the new KS A ISO $2859-0\sim3$ sampling inspection process has been established which the abolition of the popular KS A 3101, KS A 3105, KS A 3109, yet the implementation rate is very slow. This study will attempt to analyze the new KS A ISO 2859-2 and KS A ISO 2859-3, and try to understand the difference as that the new standard can be easily understood and used widely among companies, by using examples. Our attempt is to help implement with the companies with active safety involvement but the final result can be spread among other companies as well in the near future.

Construction is among the most dangerous industries with numerous accidents occurring at job sites. Following an accident, an investigation report is issued, containing all of the specifics. Analyzing the text information in construction accident reports can help enhance our understanding of historical data and be utilized for accident prevention. However, the conventional method requires a significant amount of time and effort to read and identify crucial information. The previous studies primarily focused on analyzing related objects and causes of accidents rather than the construction activities. This study aims to extract construction activities taken by workers associated with accidents by presenting an automated framework that adopts a deep learning-based approach and natural language processing (NLP) techniques to automatically classify sentences obtained from previous construction accident reports into predefined categories, namely TRADE (i.e., a construction activity before an accident), EVENT (i.e., an accident), and CONSEQUENCE (i.e., the outcome of an accident). The classification model was developed using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) showed a robust accuracy of 88.7%, indicating that the proposed model is capable of investigating the occurrence of accidents with minimal manual involvement and sophisticated engineering. Also, this study is expected to support safety assessments and build risk management systems.
In a newly developed production control system, a safety control ought to be included as a means of ensuring a more rational control system for achieving efficiency. Such a system does not hold any meaning in itself unless accompanied with appropriate ways to make it practicable. A firm would have a number of function groups. Each of these groups would have specific functions or duties to perform. Their production activities would be planned at the level of departmental management. The planning will take such forms as production, quality and safety planning, and so far as each department would order the line from its own standpoint, scientific production activities could not be expected. All the programmes must, therefore, be integrated and coordinated by a supervisor.
A major issue for all nuclear stakeholders is to keep the probability of circumstances that could lead to core damage as low as possible. In addition, for NPP, appropriate accident management provisions are to be implemented to limit the consequences associated with an accident. Development and application of L2 PSA is a structured way to demonstrate that such objectives are achieved. The paper presents the efforts recently done in Europe to harmonize some best-practices in that field, from research area to risk assessment. The Fukushima Daiichi accident reiterated the importance of these activities and the need to efficiently reinforce the NPP safety based on risk assessment conclusions. New perspectives in Europe are briefly presented.
The primary objective of this research is to provide the basis of total quality management policies by reviewing previous studies which investigated effective ways to reduce product liability exposure. Specifically, the present study intends (1) to examine recent patterns and trends of product liability law in OECD countries, (2) to propose quality management policies for preventing product liability litigations, and (3) to guide the proper implementation process of ISO 9000 certification programs. The survey results show that the shift from a negligence law theory to strict liability is evident in most countries. The trend has led to make it easier for consumers to bring product liability lawsuits. Furthermore, the damage awards won by consumers have been drastically increasing. To minimize product liability exposure, manufactures should reflect comprehensive product safety concepts in establishing total quality management policies. Cooperative activities are also required between departments in companies to reach safe and satisfactory quality level. These quality management activities should be performed consistently during the total product life cycle. Failure to comply with the ISO 9000 certifications might be used as an evidence of negligence or as evidence of a design defect in court. Previous lawsuit cases, however, reveal that ISO 9001-9003 registration process alone is not sufficient in terms of product liability pervention perspectives. Therefore, manufactures should take into account ISO 9004 before implementing any other section of ISO 9000 standards.
International Organization for Standardization has recently published ISO 9001:2008 which is the basic requirements for a quality management system that an organization must fulfil to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that enhance customer satisfaction and meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Not many empirical researches based on ISO 9001:2008 have been done up until now. In this article we outline transitional features for ISO 9000 quality management system (QMS) since its first publication in 1987. In order to effectively maintain ISO 9001:2008 QMS certification and continuously enhance quality management activities, we perform statistical analysis for the minor nonconformity data generated from follow-up audits for subcontractors of shipbuilding industry based on ISO 9001:2008 requirements. A Kruskal-Wallis test is used to show relationships between the minor nonconformity data and three classification criteria: the type of business, the size of business, and the number of follow-up audits.

Safety can be defined as being maintained or reduced to a level below which the possibility of human or physical harm can be tolerated through continuous identification of risks and safety risk management. FAA, EASA, IATA and Boeing, major organizations that conduct research and analysis for aviation safety around the world, report that about 70 percent of aviation accidents are caused by human factors, which have led to a surge in interest in human factors-induced accident prevention activities around the world. As part of this purpose, the FAA in the U.S. is raising awareness among aviation workers by publicizing the 12 human errors (Boeing, 2016), which account for the largest part of aviation accidents under the theme of Dirty Dozen, to prevent aviation accidents. Therefore, based on the domestic helicopter accidents reported to the Air Railroad Accident Investigation Committee from 2007 until recently, this study aims to use HFACS to extract human factors for the six recent helicopter accidents in Korea, analyze the extracted human factors in conjunction with the Dirty Dozen concept, and then present measures to prevent accidents by item.
Daily workers in construction sites rarely receive the benefit of systematic safety and health training as they are required to move from one construction site to another in response to the start, completion, and repetition of construction works. Also, small- to medium-sized construction sites often lack the capacity to train their workers. Therefore, as in the advanced countries, basic OSH training sheme for construction workers should be conducted in the industrial-level, rather than in individual workplace-level, to make the training more effective. By doing so, only workers with the basic safety training will be able to engage in construction works. Consequently, accidents in the construction industry will decrease, as workers themselves who are at the forefront of the construction worksites are empowered to play the central role in accident prevention activities.
Recently, bicycle has means of effective healthy transportation, and riding the bicycles is considered as popular recreational and sporting activities. Also, the saddle, steering system, driving device and braking device are researched briskly because of consumer's need for driving performance and comfort. Especially, the importance of a cassette responsible for transmission function by transmitting power to the drive shaft through the chain is very focused. The writer conducted structural analysis for the sprocket of each level using the ANSYS widely used for the analysis. Speed shifting performance was enhanced by minimization / simplification of shifting point through a sort of tooth profile of the cassette. By partitioning a clear value type and other shifting point, it has been modified to enable smooth speed-shifting. In addition, as titanium precision forming process, this study studied the molding technique by blanking and dies forging for mass production of the cassette. so it could be expected that the entire drive train would utilize that in the future. The stamping process capability for thin materials for the mass production of the sprockets is applicable to producing automobile parts, so lightweight component production is likely to be possible through that, for the safety of driving.
