In the past 20 years, accidents in the construction industry have declined in absolute numbers. On the other hand, disasters occurring at small and medium-sized construction sites account for more than 80% of the entire construction industry and are showing a continuous increase. A system for preparing a safety and health register in stages was enacted to preemptively prevent accidents by mandating responsibility for safety to owners with relatively strong authority in the construction industry. Considerable is needed to become an effective legal system. Although there have been many studies related to safety management plans and hazard prevention plans, there are no studies on the safety and health register. Therefore, in this study, an improved safety management procedure connected with the orderer's safety and health management procedure was presented as a plan for reducing accidents at small and medium-sized construction sites. All information was made as a data-based procedure to reduce the burden on the manager. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the development of a safety management support information system for small and medium-sized construction sites.
Background: The purpose of this study was to examine undergraduate medical students' perceptions and intentions regarding patient safety during clinical clerkships. Methods: Cross-sectional and self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted on 34 students from one medical school using a modified version of the Medical Student Safety Attitudes and Professionalism Survey (MSSAPS). We assessed $4^{rd}-year$ medical students' perceptions of the cultures ('safety', 'teamwork', and 'error disclosure'), 'behavioural intentions' concerning patient safety issues and 'overall patient safety'. The overall response rate was 66.4%. Results: Among safety domains, "teamwork culture" was rated highest. "Error disclosure culture" received the lowest ratings. Regarding the error disclosure domain, only 10% of respondents reported that they have received education or training on how to disclose medical error to patients. Independent of survey domains, when students were asked "Overall, do you think your hospital is safe based on your clinical rotation?", 61.8% reported that the hospital was safe. Conclusions: Assessing students' perceptions of safety culture can provide clerkship directors and educators with information that enhances the educational environment and promotes patient safety. Discussions of medical errors, patient safety, and how best to incorporate an analysis of these issues into the existing curriculum are needed.
Although corporate punishment-related systems are being implemented in several countries, such as South Korea's Serious Accidents Punishment Act (SAPA), related research has mainly focused on legal issues. This study aimed to compare and analyze the SAPA and Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and Code of Practice on Chief Executives' and Board of Directors' Workplace Safety and Health Duties (WSHD). In addition, it was attempted to draw implications to enhance the effectiveness of the CEO's safety and health duties. For this study, a comparative analysis was conducted in 3 steps. In step 1, similar overseas systems were investigated. In step 2, the system contents were classified into four viewpoints (DUTY, RESOURCE, Other factors, and Main contents), and comparison items were derived from each viewpoint. In step 3, the viewpoints were compared, and implications were derived. The following three implications were derived through comparative analyses. 1) In WSHD, additional explanation and calibration of measures clarify the CEO's role, and 2) It is easy to use for the CEO's duties by providing the resources directly. 3) Penalties for violating the proposed duties are entrusted to the existing higher-level laws. Considering this, providing detailed content and related information for the CEO would possibly improve the SAPA to fulfill his/her duties through announcements from related organizations in the future.

Background: Difficulties in walking and balance are risk factors for falling. This study aimed to predict dynamic balance based on demographic information and anthropometric dimensions in construction workers. Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 114 construction workers in 2020. First, the construction workers were asked to complete the demographic questionnaire determined in order to be included in the study. Then anthropometric dimensions were measured. The dynamic balance of participants was also assessed using the Y Balance test kit. Dynamic balance prediction was performed based on demographic information and anthropometric dimensions using multiple linear regression with SPSS software version 25. Results: The highest average normalized reach distances of YBT were in the anterior direction and were 92.23 ± 12.43% and 92.28 ± 9.26% for right and left foot, respectively. Both maximal and average normalized composite reach in the YBT in each leg were negatively correlated with leg length and navicular drop and positively correlated with the ratio of sitting height to leg length. In addition, multiple linear regressions showed that age, navicular drop, leg length, and foot surface could predict 23% of the variance in YBT average normalized composite reach of the right leg, and age, navicular drop, and leg length could predict 21% of that in the left leg among construction workers. Conclusion: Approximately one-fifth of the variability in the normalized composite reach of dynamic balance reach among construction workers using method YBT can be predicted by variables age, navicular drop, leg length, and foot surface.
Awareness about health is still in short supply, sufficient research and investment is falling mothayeo made, the development of image and health technology for health compared to productivity enhancement technology behind the relative reality. Through the analysis and study of special measures and health education in the country catering to propose measures and methods for this. Current analyzed and summarized to find a special health and safety training relevant provisions appear in the national legislation. By analyzing the characteristics and to leverage to workers unearthed an in-depth awareness and issues for the institutions and laws. Survey research methods to analyze the documents and government publications and research through an Internet search. Survey Research conducted a self - survey on new knowledge and attitude toward the concessionaires to sanitation target, the attitude of the sanitary administration, attitudes to hygiene education and hygiene practice Conditions received health education carried out by catering Federation regularly. Health education is a systematic settlement system for the external reality of professional education. Health and health administrators to establish an organizational structure strengthening phase. Employers and health care workers are raising awareness. Employers have a responsibility to prevent industrial accidents. Consequently, special health education targeted construction workers changed to fit the content-driven information on the species and the proper arrangement of time "based health education" currently being conducted.
Background: The high incidence of work-related diseases and injuries among day-laborers and workers with no legal contracts (informal workers) has received the attention of the Thai authorities. Workers' low occupational health literacy (OHL) has been reasoned as one contributing factor. Absence of a valid tool has prevented assessment of informal workers' OHL. The aim of this study was to create a valid and reliable Occupational Health Literacy Scale within the context of Thai working culture (TOHLS-IF). Methods: This study used the mixed method approach to develop TOHLS-IF. Questions were generated using in-depth interviews and an extensive review of the literature. Experts' assessment confirmed the content validity of TOHLS-IF. The scales of its psychometric properties were assessed in a sample of 400 informal workers using cluster random sampling. Results: The final version of the TOHLS-IF comprises 38 items within 4 dimensions: Ability to Gain Access, Understanding, Evaluation, and Use of occupational health and safety information. Factor analysis identified items explaining 50.22% of the total variance. The final confirmatory analysis confirmed the model estimates were satisfactory for the construct. TOHLS-IF demonstrated a high internal consistency and satisfactory reliability (Cronbach's alpha = .98). Conclusion: The TOHLS-IF is a valid and reliable instrument to assess informal workers' OHL. The structural dimensions of this instrument are based on the concept of health literacy and Thai culture. Thai health professionals are encouraged to benefit from this instrument to assess their workers' OHL and apply findings as guidelines for effective occupational health and safety interventions.
According to the Korean Statistical Information Service, the number of fatal occupational accidents per 100,000 workers is the highest in Korea, among all the OECD countries. The safety of construction workers is managed by the construction technology promotion act (CTPA) and the occupational safety and health act (OHSA). A review of the current safety management laws is required to improve them for the construction industry, where the numbers of accidents and deaths are constantly increasing. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to identify the problems in unclear business areas through comparison and analysis of the CTPA and OHSA guidelines and establish effective site-dependent construction safety management plans. The overlapping safety and health management terms and tasks of organizations were derived along with identifying the overlapping items of the safety management and hazard and risk prevention plans. Based on these results, several improvements for the design stage, safety cost, and safety education have been suggested in this paper. In addition, an improved model based on the integration and an optimized compromise between these two laws for safety management in areas where many accidents have occurred in recent years has been reported here.
Background: Despite the lack of official COVID-19 statistics, various workplaces and occupations have been at the center of COVID-19 outbreaks. We aimed to compare legal measures and governance established for managing COVID-19 infection risks at workplaces in nine Asia and Pacific countries and to recommend key administrative measures. Methods: We collected information on legal measures and governance from both general citizens and workers regarding infection risks such as COVID-19 from industrial hygiene professionals in nine countries (Indonesia, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Republic of the Philippines, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand) using a structured questionnaire. Results: A governmental body overseeing public health and welfare was in charge of containing the spread and occurrence of infectious diseases under an infectious disease control and prevention act or another special act, although the name of the pertinent organizations and legislation vary among countries. Unlike in the case of other traditional hazards, there have been no specific articles or clauses describing the means of mitigating virus risk in the workplace that are legally required of employers, making it difficult to define the responsibilities of the employer. Each country maintains own legal systems regarding access to the duration, administration, and financing of paid sick leave. Many workers may not have access to paid sick leave even if it is legally guaranteed.
The purpose of this study if to prevent dangerous accident of the overthrow of the tower crane in summer's hurricane. We develop the SMS in order to give automatic alarm system to operator within the dangerous range and to give a information of the exactly slope in the real time. The slope value of the tower crane is compose of direction, pitch by the front and rear, roll by the right and left and synthesis by the its pitch and roll. Especially, the synthesis eliminate the effect of the wall tie or wire bracing. So, this value should correctly indicate the actual slope. In this study, more applying field test should be applied with the SMS. In the future, a more measurement device can be applied to, and be able to feed more alarm criteria for the review of the risk in the field.
