A Consistent Test for Linearity for a Class of General First order Nonlinear Time Series

  • Problem of testing linearity among general class of first order nonlinear time series models is discussed. The null hypotheses of linearity is identified via conditional expectations. A consistent test is then suggested and relevant limiting results are derived. It is worth indicating that any specific alternatives are not specified.

  • When we have both a paired data set and two independent data sets, neither a paired t-test nor a two-sample t-test can be used to detect differences between two samples. In order to identify differentially expressed genes in a mixed data set, a new test statistic is proposed.

A Study of Dichotic Listening Using the TOEIC Listening Test

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate dichotic listening, that is, whether the left and right ears have different functionalities in actual listening. Unlike previous studies, which used short words or a list of two or three numbers, these researchers investigated more comprehensive listening ability using the Toeic listening test. Sixty-three university students participated in this study. The subjects took three tests in total: one using only the right ear, another using the left ear, and the third using both. T-analysis of SPSS on the data revealed that there is a significant difference between the test results with only the right or left ear and the ones with both ears. So we cannot find right-ear priority in this study. We can see that in comprehensive listening, right hemisphere plays an important role as well as left hemisphere. When grouped according to language ability, test result of low group is the same as the total test result. However, in high group there is no significant difference between the test results with left ear and the results with both ears in high group. In mid group there is no significant difference between the test results with right ear and the results with both ears. The different functionalities of left and right ears and suggestions for future research are presented.

  • Generally Short Circuit Test of transformers are tested according to IEEE std C57.12.00-2000, IEC 60076-5(2000-07), ES148(1998.6.26) or KS C4309(2003). But ES148(1998.6.26) is same as IEEE std C57. 12.00-2000 and KS C4309(2003) is revising coincidence with IEC 60076-5(2000-07). On this study condition of the transformers before short circuit test, calculation method for test current peak value, tolerance on the asymmetrical peak and r.m.s value, short circuit testing procedure, number of short circuit test, duration short circuit test, and detection of faults and evaluation of short circuit test result will be compared with ANSI and IEC.

  • There are some difficulties in applying the Pearson's Chi-Square Test for the continuous distribution. The problems include how to form class intervals for the test of fit how to employ in the test when the estimators of parameters are obtained from the ungrouped sample so on. In order to solve these problems we use the generalized minimum Chi-Square technique which is a test free of the complications associated with the Peason's Chi-Square test. This paper show how to apply the goodness of fit tests based on generalized minimum Chi-Square technique to the extreme values.

  • Standardization of solar collector test method is desirable for improvement solar collector quality and Valuation of collector thermal performance. In the present work, test loop proposed by Chun, is modified for convenience of test and obtained accurate collector thermal performance. An experimental investigation hat been carried out with a modified collector test loop under a real sun condition in order to confirm the utility of modified test loop and study the effect of variation of flow rate on thermal efficiency, the range of optimum flow rate and critical incident angle.

  • 태양센서는 인공위성의 자세제어에 필수적인 센서로서, 위성으로 입사되는 태양 빛의 방향을 측정하거나 위성이 태양을 보지 못하는 상태에 있는지를 판단하기 위해서 사용되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 저궤도 인공위성용 저정밀 태양센서의 성공적인 개발을 위하여, 비행모델 저정밀 태양센서를 개발하기 전에 태양센서 선행모델과 인증모델의 개발 과정 및 결과를 보여준다. 태양센서의 개발은 제작 특성상 공정의 명확성, 정밀성 그리고 많은 제작 경험을 필요로 한다. 이 논문에서는 선행모델과 인증모델을 개발함으로써, 공정의 명확성 및 정밀성을 갖도록 보완하였다. 따라서, 성능 요구 조건을 만족하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

분광타원해석기를 이용한 자외선 차단제의 평가방법 연구 (Study on the Sun Screen Test Method using Elipsometer)

  • 자외선 차단제는 자외선의 흡수 기능을 갖는 유기 계열과 반사 기능을 갖는 무기계로 구분된다. 이들은 SPF지수로 평가되는데 in-vivo 실험은 높은 비용과 시간이 오래 걸리는 단점이 있어 in-vitro 평가가 연구에 많이 이용된다. 하지만 in-vitro 평가로 사용되는 SPF 평가 장치는 재현성이 매우 낮아 값에 대한 신뢰가 매우 어렵다. 또한, UV-vis spectrometer를 이용한 분석은 재현성은 높지만 투과/흡수/반사의 구분된 결과를 구하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 elipsometer는 높은 재현성과 투과/흡수/반사의 구분된 결과, 다양한 각도에서의 평가의 장점이 있어 자외선 차단제 평가에 매우 유용하다. 이를 위해 상업용 자외선 차단제를 다양한 방법으로 평가하여 elipsometer를 이용한 방법의 타당성을 알아보았다.
