도시 내 가로수의 광선투과량에 따른 온도저감 효과 - 서울시 서초구를 중심으로 - (Temperature Reduction Effect According to Light Transmittance of Urban Street Trees - Focused on Seocho-gu in Seoul -)

  • With rapid urbanization and reckless urban development in the 21st century, the urban environment has gradually gotten worse, and urban heat island effect has been dramatically intensified. Thus, the importance of street greenery that can mitigate the urban heat island effect has further been highlighted. In this regard, this study was aimed at selecting suitable plant species for street greenery to reduce the urban heat island effect. Towards this end, five roads located in Seocho-gu, Seoul were selected as study sites, and plant species composition and difference of surface temperature were compared and analyzed in relation to the light transmittance. The street with the greatest temperature difference is Bangbae-ro(Platanus occidentalis). On the other hand, the road with the lowest temperature difference is Nambusunhwan-doro(Metasequoia Glyptostroboides). The effect of temperature reduction was found to be associated with light transmittance.Bangbae-ro(Platanus occidentalis) with the lowest light transmittance showed the highest temperature difference and Nambusunhwan-doro(Metasequoia Glyptostroboides) with the highest light transmittance showed the lowest temperature difference. It is analyzed that there are most differences in temperature when the amount of lights coming in between the crown is small. The temperature reduction effect can be obtained by planting deciduous broad-leaved trees. Also species with dense crown and broad width of crown will be able to maximize the effect of temperature reduction. In future studies, it will be necessary to expand the other species of trees in the street, and analyze the germicidal trees and shrubs as well as the differences in the packaging materials.

  • Recently it is urgent issue in every department that problem from environmental disruption such as global warming. As the case of streetscape works essentially at city scenery, it is inevitable that changing from present view, which centers facilities and buildings, to environmental harmonic scenery. This study plans climate adjusting ability and improvement of thermal efficiency by putting ecological elements to buildings on a street which are essential factors of streetscape. Ultimately, this not only makes a pleasant environment but also revives being withered earth. Street-environment on eco-scape will take a part in designing sustainable city. This study acquires the way how buildings on a street get applied ecological elements as following. Roof level part : the greening surface of the rooftop(included plant box type), the greening roof as a type of pergola, the greening surface of the middle floor rooftop(included plant box type). Elevation part : climbing type, downfall type, espalier, flower bed in balcony type, wall-installing type, water wall type, other design types. Ground level part : paving the whole surface with permeability, paving the gap with permeability, plant box type, ground plant type, waterside zone, wetland, fence greening type, terrace greening type, retaining wall greening type.

아파트 옥외공간 특성화에 대한 거주자의 인지특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Resident's Environmental Cognition of Distinctive Outdoor Space in Apartment Estates)

  • This study was to evaluate residents' environmental cognition, satisfaction and needs of distinctive outdoor space in apartment housing estates. Distinctive outdoor space of 75 apartment estates throughout the country were investigated. And the residents of 16 apartment estates were asked how they cognize disticntive outdoor space qualities, and what activities they prefer in apartment's outdoor space. Thre important factors were extracted in residents' cognition of distinctive outdoor space qualities. First factor was naturalness of the greenery, second factor was outdoor activities especially related to fitness and exercise, and third factor was design of street furniture. Residents' satisfaction degree of distinctive outdoor space tended to increase as high as the occupied housing area. Places with water, tree shades, pedestrian way, greenery with flowers, playlots, fitness places and entrances of the estates were evaluated high in the order named. And places full with greenery, places related to fitness and exercisem, playlots were prefered by the residents.

  • Roadside greenery in the city is not only a means of reducing fine dust, but also an indispensable element of the city in various aspects such as improvement of urban thermal environment, noise reduction, ecosystem connectivity, and aesthetics. However, in studies dealing with the effect of reducing fine dust through trees in existing urban spaces, microscopic aspects such as the adsorption effect of plants were dealt with, structural changes such as the width of urban buildings and streets, and the presence or absence of trees, Impact studies that reflect the actual form of In this study, the effect of greenery composition applicable to urban space on PM2.5 was simulated through the microclimate epidemiologic model ENVI-met, and field measurements were performed in parallel to verify the results. In addition, by analyzing the results of fine dust background concentration, wind speed, and leaf area index, the sensitivity to major influencing variables was tested. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the fine dust reduction effect was the highest in the case with a high planting amount, and the reduction effect was the greatest at a low background concentration. Based on this, the cost of planting street green areas and the effect of reducing PM2.5 were compared. The results of this study can contribute as a basis for considering the effect of pedestrian space on air quality when planning and designing street green spaces.

도시녹지 네트워크 강화를 위한 가로녹지 조성계획 연구 (A Study on Planning of Roadside Green for Enhancing Urban Green Network)

  • 본 연구는 송파구의 도시녹지 네트워크 강화와 도시녹지 확충을 위한 가로녹지 개선계획 수립을 목적으로 수행하였다. 송파구 네트워크 가로를 선정하기 위해 선행연구를 바탕으로 송파구 관내 공원, 녹지축 현황을 분석하고, 가로변녹지 현황, 보도폭 현황을 분석하였다. 분석결과 가로변에 위치한 19개 공원과 녹지축 연계가 가능한 13개 가로를 도출하였다. 가로변 녹지는 자연녹지 및 조성녹지와 연계된 가로가 56,546m이었고, 보도폭은 추가적인 띠녹지 확보 및 보식 가능한 보도폭 5m 이상의 가로가 8,600m이었다. 이를 종합하여 도시녹지 네트워크 가로로 올림픽로, 송파대로, 남부순환로, 위례성길을 선정하였다. 네트워크 가로의 가로녹지 조성 현황을 분석하여 가로녹지 조성 및 가로수 식재량 증진 방안을 도출하였다. 가로녹지 개선은 관목 위주 가로녹지의 녹지구조 다양화, 가로변 녹지를 활용한 가로녹지 보완을 제시하였다. 가로수 식재량 증진은 가로녹지 개선계획을 바탕으로 수목 보완 식재를 통해 식재량 증진이 가능한 가로를 대상으로 하였다. 송파구 네트워크 가로 중 아교목 보식(1주) 가능 구간은 전체 길이 34,206m중 63.6%이었다. 녹지 네트워크 가로별 식재량 증진계획에 따른 주수변화를 산정한 결과 4,708주의 추가식재를 통해 전체 9,518주로 증가할 것으로 예측되었다.

주거지역 가로환경 및 일상 걷기가 정신 건강에 미치는 영향 - 서울시 대상으로 - (Estimation of the Effects of Daily Walking Hours and Days on the Mental Health of Urban Residents - The Case in Seoul -)

  • 본 연구는 도시민의 가로환경 이용을 매개로 하여 주거지역 가로환경 질이 도시민의 정신 건강에 미치는 영향을 밝히고자 하였다. 영과잉 음이항 회귀모형을 통해 보행 활동과 가로환경이 도시민의 우울 증세에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 연구 범위는 2017년 대한민국 서울특별시로 한정하였으며, 우울 유병 증세를 종속 변수, 가로환경 변수 및 보행 변수, 개인 특성을 독립 변수로 이용하였다. 나아가, 가로 녹지와 보행 빈도의 상호작용 효과를 살펴, 녹지에서 걷는 행위가 정신 건강에 미치는 상승효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 가로 녹지 면적 비율이 높을수록 우울증세가 나타나지 않았다. 보행 빈도가 높을수록 우울 증세가 나타나지 않거나, 우울 증세가 존재할 경우에도 약하게 나타났다. 또한, 가로 녹지에서의 보행 빈도가 늘어날수록 우울 증세가 약하게 나타나는 상호작용 효과를 확인하였다. 시각적 복잡성은 낮을수록 우울 증세가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 도시민의 정신 건강 문제를 지역사회차원에서 다루는 데에 기여하며, 가로 녹지와 보행 빈도의 시너지 효과를 발견함으로써 주거지역 가로 녹지 환경이 도시민 정신 건강 증진에 미치는 중요성을 강조하였다.

전라북도 가로시설물의 디자인 제고를 위한 연구 (A Study on the Design Improvement of Street Facilities in Jeollabuk-do Province)

  • This study reveals the absence of standard design guidelines by region through investigation and analysis centered on public design cases by region in Jeollabuk-do and design elements that can reflect the integration, identity, and diversity of public design in each region by five regions. Through this, the following conclusions could be obtained. First, to improve the quality of street facilities in Jeollabuk-do, the design elements (design motif, color, pattern) applicable to the standard design were analyzed by dividing them into five regions. As a design motif, it was possible to extract patterns containing straight lines, sophistication, dignity, and smartness. In the Northeast region, it is comfortable with the motif of the mountain ridge reflecting geographical characteristics, and it can be extracted elements that contain warm and natural colors. In the southeastern region, patterns that reflect design elements were extracted by applying safe, lively, and peaceful colors with the design motif of curves that blend nature and agriculture. In the southwestern region, design pattern elements that highlight nature, history, and culture were extracted with various cultural assets and natural greenery as motifs. Lastly, in the Saemangeum region, the ocean flow and greenery could be used as a design motif to reflect a positive, clear, future-oriented image in the design spot zones by region. Second, based on the standard design elements (design motive, color, pattern) by region extracted for the standard design development of street facilities in each region in Jeollabuk-do, an integrated zone(Form, structure, material, color, functional element) to which regional design guidelines can be applied. Third, an integrated zone (form, structure, material, color, functional elements) was composed. In addition, design spot zones (patterns and colors in city and county units) that can contain the diversity and identity of each region were designated. 가로수관련 문제유형의 관계론적 해석 - 인천광역시 중앙공원길을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Inter-Relational Interpretation of Street Plant Issues - Focus on Central Park Road in Incheon Metropolitan City -)

  • Generally, trees lining the streets are the most easily accessible green areas in the city and constitute the smallest basic unit in the formation of the urban linear green axis. This study attempts to interpret issues related to city trees from a comprehensive and relational viewpoint. The site of this study is Central Park Street in front of Incheon Metropolitan City Hall. This street is representative of those in Incheon City. This study is an inter-relational interpretation of issues by measuring the vitality of these trees. The following are results of this study: First, the vitality of city trees is higher in those trees growing in natural ground than those growing in plant gratings. This observation can lead to budget savings and increased natural areas in the city. Also, if planter and multi-layering planting methods are introduced where damage to trees is predicted, variation to urban landscape can be achieved while linking to reinforced rearing foundation of street-side trees. Second, there is need for a holistic approach to caring for street-side trees regarding the damage caused by drastic pruning and strong street lights. The typical functions of these trees, like supplying freshness in summer, absorbing solar radiation, and controlling the urban micro-climate are closely related to the vitality of the trees. Accordingly, the function and ecology should be understood holistically, not separately. In this aspect, the functional and ecological use of the multi-layering planting method is effective in protecting pedestrians from vehicles as well. Third, the fallen leaves of monotonous rows of trees have different ecological and functional effects. Not only is the index of greenness in the urban setting increased, but there are also aesthetic and symbolic effects. Fourth, in spite of being the street along which Incheon Metropolitan City Hall, major administrative buildings and Central Park are located, this street does not have its own special identity to discriminate it from other streets. It fulfills only functional criteria based on uniformity. If there is no paradigm shift from today's street system based on vehicles, the role of landscape architecture will be very passive in regards to street-side trees, the minimum unit of urban green. Fifth, on this particular street, many trees were planted in December, which reflects a deficiency of short and long-term strategy, like a street-tree master plan. In this aspect, we still lack a mature culture concerning these trees as a basic unit in urban greenery. Furthermore, there needs to be cultural introspection concerning present administrative practices.

일본 고베시(神戶市) 포트아일랜드 가로녹지 구조 유형 연구 (A Study on the Structure Style of Street Green Spaces on Port Island, Kobe, Japan)

  • 본 연구는 일본 고베시(神戶市) 해안 매립도시인 포트아일랜드 가로녹지의 지형구조별 도로 유형, 주변 토지이용, 식재구조를 조사 분석하여 녹지량이 풍부한 가로녹지 식재기법 사례를 제공하고자 수행하였다. 포트아일랜드(총면적 826ha)는 일본 내에서도 최초의 인공섬으로 항만시설과 본격적인 도시기능시설을 겸비한 해상문화도시이다. 연구대상지내 $55{\sim}285m^2$ 면적의 조사구 11개소를 설정하여 조사 한 결과, 가로녹지의 지형구조는 마운딩형, 사면형, 사면+평지형, 평지형의 4개 유형으로 구분되었고, 인접한 도로의 폭에 따라 지형구조가 변화하였다. 인접한 도로의 차선이 많아서 소음, 공해물질 등 영향을 많이 받는 지역은 마운딩형, 사면형, 사면+평지형 등의 지형구조와 광폭의 다층구조 녹지대를 조성하였고, 도로차선이 적은 지역인 경우, 평지형의 지형구조와 화관목 위주의 관목을 식재하여 가로띠녹지를 조성하였다. 인접한 토지이용은 공공기관, 공동주택지, 주상복합지, 상업업무지 등이었고, 식재개념은 중로(4차선)의 경우 완충+경관기능, 소로(2차선)의 경우 경관기능이었다. 식재종은 대만풍나무, 녹나무, 조구나무, 참죽나무, 담팔수, 은행나무, 벚나무, 느티나무, 종가시나무, 향나무, 목련, 철쭉류, 동백나무, 꽃댕강나무 등 다양하게 나타났다. 식재밀도는 교목층 0.02~0.08(0.04)주/$m^2$, 아교목층 0.02~0.08(0.04)주/$m^2$이었고, 녹피율은 교목층 40.0~173.7(93.0)%, 아교목층 2.1~79.8(34.9)%, 관목층 17.9~64.2(4.13)%이었다. 녹지용적계수는 교목층 $1.43{\sim}6.67(4.13)m^3/m^2$, 아교목층 $0.02{\sim}2.01(0.85)m^3/m^2$, 관목층 $0.14{\sim}0.58(0.26)m^3/m^2$이었다. 포트아일랜드 가로녹지의 녹피율은 서울시 주요 가로녹지에 비해 높은 수준이었고, 특히 관목층 녹피율과 녹지용적계수는 우리나라 주요 가로녹지와 비교하였을 때 많은 차이가 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 현재 우리나라에 조성되고 있는 해안 매립기반 도시의 가로녹지 조성 시 지형구조, 식재구조, 식재기능 등을 고려하여 다양한 기능을 수행하는 가로녹지 조성기법 사례지로 응용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
