  • 중국 선전에서 지난 3월 5일~6일까지 양일간 IIC(International IC) China 2007이 개최되었다. 올해로 12회를 맞은 본 전시회는 세계 최대 규모 IC 전문전시회로 인텔, 삼성전자, 텍사스인스트루먼트, ST마이크로, 프리스케일, 르네사스 등의 글로벌 기업을 비롯해 50여 개 국의 200개 업체가 참가하여 전시장을 찾은 중국 바이어에게 최신 제품을 선보였다

  • 지그비 얼라이언스(ZigBee Alliance)가 9월 28일 서울 메리어트 호텔에서 '지그비 얼라이언스 오픈 하우스'를 갖고, 그 동안의 지그비 개발 성과를 발표했다. 이 자리에서는 지그비 관련 플랫폼이나 단말 개발 동향이 소개됐으며, 아울러 5층에서는 관련 업체들의 제품 전시가 이뤄졌다. 별도 마련된 전시장에는 국내 코윈(Korwin)과 레이디오펄스.TSC 시스템즈.TTA 외 프리스케일.엠버.TI.ST마이크로.텍트로닉스.오키.마이크로칩.크로스보우.Atmel 등 20개사가 참여했다.

  • This study uses a characteristic function to explain correlations between the objective function and design variables. Analysis of means and table of orthogonal array were carried out. The change of shape of diaphragm, thickness of diaphragm and voice coil weight based on the table of orthogonal array is made. Therefore this study carried to decide shape of diaphragm, voice coil weight and thickness of diaphragm for minimizing 1st natural frequency and maximizing 2nd natural frequency of diaphragm using design of experiments and characteristic function with constraints. we showed improved design factors that minimized 1st natural frequency and maximized 2nd natural frequency of diaphragm.

  • The object of this study was to design of micro stage, which is one of the equipments embodied in ultra precision positioning mechanism. Design factors for micro stage were decided a roundness of hinge, a thickness of hinge, a thickness of stage, a length of arms and a clearance of division. To obtain the $1^{st}$ natural frequency and equivalent stresses, FEM simulation was performed using the table of orthogonal arrays and Taguchi method was used to determine the optimal design parameters. As results of this study, the size of 1st natural frequency and equivalent stresses on micro stage was influenced significantly by a thickness of hinge and a length of arm.

  • 21세기 들어 BT, IT, NT, ST 관련 첨단산업이 우리나라의 미래를 선도할 산업으로 새롭게 부각되고 있다. 이들 산업의 핵심 부품 가공에 다이아몬드 선반을 이용한 초정밀 가공 기술은 계속해서 활용폭이 커질 뿐만 아니라 현재보다 한 단계 더 높은 가공정도, 즉 마이크로 이하 나노단위의 초정밀 가공기술이 요구될 것이다. 따라서 우리나라의 초정밀 가공 기술 분야에서 국가적인 기술요구에 부응하고 선진국에 대한 기술경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 다이아몬드공구 및 연삭 휠을 이용한 초정밀 가공의 기초 기술에 대한 보다 많은 연구가 필요하다.

  • Nonlinear characteristics of piezoelectric-type micro actuator used for hard disk drives are experimentally analyzed using Hutchinson's Magnum acturator. The nonlinear effects include hysteresis, superharmonic resonance, jump phenomenon, and shifting of natural frequencies. The effects of exciting frequency and input voltage on the nonlinear phenomena are investigated. It is shown that the micro actuator has the typical 3 times superhamonic resonances coupled to both 1st torsional and sway modes of the suspension.

  • Ultra precision positioning mechanism has been widely used on semiconductor manufacturing equipments, optical spectrum analyzers and cell manipulations. Ultra precision positioning mechanism consists of several actuators, sensors, guides and control systems. Its efficiency depends on each performance of components. The object of this study is to design and analyze the micro stage that is one of the equipments embodied in ultra precision positioning mechanism. The micro stage consists of PZT actuators and flexure hinges. The structural design of flexure hinge is optimized by using RSM and FEM. The control factors concerned with the design of flexure hinges of stage and arms are optimized by minimizing the equivalent stress on the hinge and maximizing 1st natural frequency based on RSM and FEM simulation under various kinds of design conditions.

  • In order to find a residual stress in the micro-machined beam, first natural frequency of the beam that has the residual stress inside is analyzed using the Rayleigh's energy method. Micro gold electroplated structure is fabricated by surface micro-machining process. The made structure is clamped-clamped beam and its 1st natural frequency is measured by resonance method. For the better estimation of the residual stress, an equivalent length of micro-machined beam to ideal beam is calculated by FEM. The residual stress is estimated from the equivalent length and the measured natural frequency.
