Green phosphors $(Zn_{1-a-b}M_aM^{\prime}_b)_xGa_yS_{x+3y/2}:Eu^{2+}$ (M, M' = alkali earth ions) with x = 2 and y = 2-5 were prepared, starting from ZnO, MgO, $SrCO_3$, $Ga_2O_3$, $Eu_2O_3$, and S with a flux $NH_4F$ using a conventional solidstate reaction. A phosphor with the composition of $(Zn_{0.6}Sr_{0.3}Mg_{0.1})_2Ga_2S_5:Eu^{2+}$ produced the strongest luminescence at a 460-nm excitation. The observed XRD patterns indicated that the optimized phosphor consisted of two components: zinc thiogallate and zinc sulfide. The characteristic green luminescence of the $ZnS:Eu^{2+}$ component on excitation at 460 nm was attributed to the donor-acceptor ($D_{ZnGa_2S_4}-A_{ZnS}$) recombination in the hybrid boundary. The optimized green phosphor converted 17.9% of the absorbed blue light into luminescence. For the fabrication of light-emitting diode (LED), the optimized phosphor was coated with MgO using magnesium nitrate to overcome their weakness against moisture. The MgO-coated green phosphor was fabricated with a blue GaN LED, and the chromaticity index of the phosphor-cast LED (pc-LED) was investigated as a function of the wt % of the optimized phosphor. White LEDs were fabricated by pasting the optimized green (G) and the red (R) phosphors, and the commercial yellow (Y) phosphor on the blue chips. The three-band pc-WLED resulted in improved color rendering index (CRI) and corrected color temperature (CCT), compared with those of the two-band pc-WLED.

Superconducting B $i_2$S $r_2$C $a_{n-l}$C $u_{n}$$O_{x}$(n=2~4) thin films were prepared by single target DC-magnetron sputtering. And, that was compared with the B $i_2$S $r_2$C $a_{n-l}$C $u_{n}$$O_{x}$(n=1~3) thin film fabricated by using the ion beam sputtering. Phase intergrowth among n=2-3, 3-4 and 4-5 phases was observed. The molar fraction of each phase in the mixed crystal of the deposited films was determined by x-ray diffraction analyses and investigated as a function of $O_2$ gas pressure during sputtering. We investigated the changes of the superconducting properties by molar fraction of each phase. Also, the thin film surface observation was carried out by atomic force microscope. The images show the average particle size decreases, and the distribution density of particles on the film surface was to increase with lower gas pressures. The fabrication conditions for selective growth of the single n=2, 3 and 4 phases in BiSrC $a_{n-l}$C $u_{n}$$O_{x}$(n=2~4) thin film are discussed.e discussed.ussed.

In this paper, three-dimensional neutronic calculations were performed in order to calculate the dependency of CRW on the temperature of fuel and moderator and the moderator void. Calculations were performed using the known MTR_PC computer codes in the core configuration 61 of TRR. The dependency of CRW on the fuel temperature in the range of $20-340^{\circ}C$ and the moderator temperature of each control rods were studied. Based on the positions of the control rods, the calculations were performed in three different cases, named case A, B and C. By the results, the worth of each control rods increases by increasing of the coolant temperature in all methods, however, the total CRW is somewhat independent of the fuel temperature. In addition, the results showed that the variation of CRW versus density depends on the positions of the control rods and the most change in CRW in the coolant temperature, $20-100^{\circ}C$ (279 pcm), belongs to SR4. Finally the effect of void on CRW was studied for different void fraction in coolant. The most worth change is about $2 for 40% void fraction related to SR1 and SR3 in case B. For 40% void fraction, the total CRW increases about $7.5, $6 and $7 in cases, A, B and C, respectively.

The $(Sr_{0.85}Ca_{0.15})TiO_3$(SCT) thin films were deposited on Pt-coated electrode (Pt/TiN/$SiO_2$/Si) using RF sputtering method according to the deposition condition. The optimum conditions of RF power and Ar/$O_2$ ratio were 140[W] and 80/20, respectively. Deposition rate of SCT thin films was about 18.75[${\AA}/min$] at the optimum condition. The capacitance characteristics had a stable value within ${\pm}4[%]$. The drastic decrease of dielectric constant and increase of dielectric loss in SCT thin films were observed above 200[kHz].

The superconducting properties have been studied for high-Tc superconductors of the $Bi_{2-x}Mo_xSr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_y$ system (x = 0.03-0.30). The crystal structure is pseudo tetragonal with the average lattice parameters a = 5.38 ${\AA}$, b = 5.44 ${\AA}$ and c = 30.6 ${\AA}$. All samples exhibit superconductivity with Tc offset at 79 K and Tc onset at 90-115 K. The Tc onset point decreases with increasing x, but the Tc offset points are nearly the same for all samples. Scanning electron micrographs show a special growth behavior of the grains with a plate shape. It is suggested that the decrease in Tc onset points with substitution of Mo for Bi is due to the decrease in lattice parameters and to the p-orbital of Mo. It is concluded that Mo does not play a crucial role in the superconducting transition of the $Bi_2Sr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_y$ system.
Polycrystalline $BaSrCo_2(Fe_{1-x}Al_x)_{12}O_{22}$ (x = 0.00, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.10) samples were synthesized by polymerizable complex method. Based on the Rietveld refinement, crystal structures of the samples were found to be single-phased and determined to be rhombohedral with space group of R-3m. The hysteresis curves of the samples were measured under 15 kOe at various temperatures ranging from 4.2 and 295 K. It shows that they were not saturated with increasing Al ion contents due to the reduction of magnetic anisotropy. $M_{15kOe}$ was decreased with increasing Al ions contents. We expect that non-magnetic Al ions preferentially occupy the up-spin site of $18h_{VI}$, $3b_{VI}$, and $3a_{VI}$. The $M{\ddot{o}}ssbauer$ spectra of the samples were obtained at 295 K, and analyzed with sixsextets for Fe sites corresponding to the Y-type hexaferrite crystallography sites. The <$E_Q$> shows abrupt changes, and the <$H_{hf}$> shows abrupt decreases around x = 0.05 due to the coexistence of magnetic secondary phases.

La0.7Sr0.3-xMgxMnO3 (LSMMO) (x=0.05~0.20) specimens are fabricated by a solid phase sintering method, and the sintering temperature and time are 1,300℃ and 2 hours, respectively. The dependence of the crystalline structure according to the amount of Mg2+ contents is not observed, and all specimens show a polycrystalline rhombohedral crystal structure, the X-ray diffraction (110) peaks move to the high angle side with increasing the amount of Mg2+ contents. LSMMO specimens exhibit a granule-shaped microstructure with an average grain size of 1 ㎛ or less. Resistivity gradually decrease as the amount of Mg2+ contents increased. And in the La0.7Sr0.1Mg0.2MnO3 specimen, resistivity and B25/65-value are 36.7 Ω-cm and 394 K at room temperature, respectively. LSMMO specimens show a variable-range hopping (VRH) electrical conduction mechanism, and the negative temperature of coefficient of resistance (NTCR) is approximately 0.37~0.38%/℃.
Objectives: This study was designed to evaluate the macrophages polarization of traditional Korean medicine on cardiac pain about Geum-Gwe-Yo-Ryak's two prescriptions including Kwaruhaebaekbanha-tang (KHB) and Kwaruhaebaekpaekju-tang (KHP). Materials and methods: Flow cytometry analysis was used to measure the changes in the ratio of M1 type and M2 type macrophages. Protein expression of nuclear factor-like 2 (Nrf2), heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) were measured by Western Blot, and ABCA1 and SR-B1 were detected by real time PCR (RT-PCR). Intracellular lipid accumulation was measured by Oil Red O staining (ORO staining). Results: KHB and KHP increase anti-oxidative activity related protein levels including Nrf2 and HO-1. Furthermore, KHB and KHP inhibit lipid accumulation on intracellular levels through induction of ATP binding receptor cassette subfamily A member 1 (ABCA1) and scavenging receptor class B member 1 (SR-B1), respectively. Finally, KHB and KHP also blocked pro-inflammatory mediators including tumor necrosis factor-alpha ($TNF{\alpha}$) and interleukin-6 (IL-6), iNOS and COX-2 expression. Conclusion: This study suggests that KHB and KHP potently regulate the M1/M2 macrophage polarization.

The effects of mole ratio(A/B) m and Ti-ion on the dielectric properties and microstructure of the microwave dielectric ceramics $(Ca_{0.7}Sr_{0.3})_m(Ti_yZr_{1-y})O_3$ were investigated. Ti ions substituted on Zr-sites in these modified $CaZrO_3$ composition strongly affect the sintering density and microstructure of the fired ceramic body. With increasing the amount of Ti substituted on Zr-sites, the sintered density rapidly increased and the dense microstructure was obtained for the compositions having mole ratio of 1.01, whereas the sintered density and microstructure are nearly constant with the content of Ti-ion for the compositions having mole ratio of 0.99. With increasing the content of Ti ion, the curve of TCC (Temperature Coefficient of Capacitance) as a function of temperature rotated clockwise and satisfied the COG characteristics for both of compositions with mole ratio of 0.99 and 1.01. The content of Ti ion seems to be more effective than mole with respect to the controlling of firing and TCC.
This study aimed to fundamentally understand changes of cell parameters of cation-exchanged mordenites using high resolution X-ray powder diffraction for studies that immobilization of various heavy metal cation using synthesis mordenite (Na6.6Al6.6Si41.4O96·20.4H2O, Na-MOR). As a results of measurement by Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), it was confirmed that 19.4, 20.4 water molecules per unit cell were present in monovalent-cation substituted MOR (Cs-MOR, Na-MOR), and 21, 23.1, 23.2 water molecules per unit cell were present in divalent-cation substituted MOR (Pb-MOR, Sr-MOR, Cd-MOR). The space group of all the samples were identified as Cmcm belonging to the orthorhombic crystal system. Compared to Na-MOR, starting material, relative peak intensity of (110) and (200) is significantly changed after cation substitution whereas peak position is almost similar. Also, (220) peak that was not found in Na-MOR was clearly observed in Pb-, Cd- and Sr-exchanged MOR. Thus, it was estimated that changes of atomic distribution usually occurred on ab-plane while changes of cell parameters were little. Detailed changes in the cell parameters of cation-exchanged mordenites were derived from whole profile fitting method using the GSAS suite program. Changes in the axial lengths and unit cell volume of cation substitution showed different relationship depending on ionic radius and charge number. In case of monovalent-cation substituted MOR, the length of a-axis increases whereas the length of b- and c-axis decrease by absorbed cation radius. In the case of divalent-cation exchanged MOR, the length of a-axis usually decreases while the length of b- and c-axis increases by cation radius. It was confirmed that unit cell volume of monovalent and divalent cation substituted MORs had an independent tendency by cation radius.
